Axell James is the backbone of the James family. He’s had one constant in his ever-changing life, Sadie. The two seem to have a rock-solid relationship. From the moment Sadie landed in Los Angeles during their senior year of high school she caught Axell’s attention.
Now, years later they are married and living their happily ever after until Sadie’s past comes back to haunt them. Axell has always had Sadie on a pedestal, believing she is perfect but when the lies from her past catch up to them he’ll realize she is far from perfect and the fall from the pedestal could be deadly for their relationship.
Will Axell and Sadie be able to survive his need for speed and her need to outrun the lies of her past?

This book was a draining for me. The love story of Axel and Sadie was one that we were waiting for. They started their romance years ago, as young teenagers and they never had really easy but their love and devotion and persistance is was what helped them overcome. But unfortunately Sadie has a kept a secret from Axel since before they even met and she honestly should have come clean years ago, she had her reasons but I felt she still should have confided in him even though I understand that she didn't want to lose him and she almost did. I liked how Seth came to her assistance and then explained her reasoning to Axel..To the next one...

I was so excited for this book. Having read the previous books in the series we already know Axell and Sadie. They pretty much are the glue keeping the family together and are almost like the parents. Now knowing their story makes me love them even more. This book takes place after they are already married. Sadie has to go to the town she gladly left because her mother is dying. She has her own issues with her mother. But going home brings out things that Sadie hasn't told Axell and once the truth is out both of their lives are changed. I was on the edge of my seat the whole book hoping they could work it out and that the changes to their lives would work out. There were so many moments that I was surprised and also I couldn't turn the page fast enough. Axell and Sadie are a great example of the power of love. No one is perfect but love can overcome anything. And in life things aren't always black and white. This story really showed just when we think we understand everything there are always details we overlook and they can change everything. This was another great book in the James Brothers series. There were a few characters introduced I can't wait to hear more from. And I geared up for the next one!
Sadie and Axell seemed to have it all from the outside looking in. A good marriage, a good family, good friends...and a huge secret between them. So when Sadie’s past comes pounding on the door to the present, she’s got a very hard decision to make and some truth to share. But will that truth cause her to lose the only thing she’s ever really wanted?
This story was painful for many, many pages. Sadie and Axell had a lot of thinking to do, and even some forgiving. Granted, I felt that they both did the wrong thing a few times, but that only made their story more realistic. After all, marriage isn’t perfect. It never is. But the true test of love is how a couple weathers the storm, and going through this misery only served to make everyone stronger by the time the sun shone again. I’m a little sad to be done with these brothers, but I think Sadie and Axell were the perfect way to end it. And I still expect to see something for Jovi and Drake in the future, so maybe it’s not totally done yet.
Trust and Love ! Can you have one without the other ? That is the question Axell is trying to come to terms with, after the love of his life and partner for the last 15 years finally tells him her darkest , deepest secret ! Sadie knows she can’t run any longer, how will Axell react, will she lose him and the life they have created ? Can she live without him? This is the fourth book in the James Brothers series and while you can read it as a stand alone , you will want to start at the beginning and devour every second of these amazing brothers and their beautiful ladies ! Strap into the drivers seat for some twists and turns and ups and downs as these boys take you on the road trip they call life !
This is the beautiful story of Axell and Sadie. They are a lovely couple that look like an old married couple because they’ve been together for so long. However, she has a past that she hasn’t shared with him. It draws them apart only to bring them together right after. The twists in this story were not expected, but made the characters more real and their love for each other stronger. I really enjoyed reading this book.
Stephanie Nichole has created a beautiful family that sticks together no matter what, they support each other and lift each other up. I love this family and can’t wait to read about the next one of the James’ brothers.
Axell and Sadie’s book, finally! The oldest James brother finally gets his story told, and what a story he and Sadie get. Always seeming so steady and grounded, there’s a lot underneath the surface, especially for Sadie. After all of their years together, Sadie’s secrets are about to come out, and she’s not sure that their relationship will withstand all the lies.
Of course, that couldn’t be the only issue, Axell is a James, and his need for speed will catch up with the two of them.
One of my favorite couples throughout the series, I was really looking forward to this book, and it delivered.
Finally we have Axell and Sadie's story. If you've read the other three books, you know much of Axell's story - how after his mother died and his father couldn't handle things any more, it was up to Axell as the oldest to take over raising his brothers. And Sadie was by his side the whole time.
But it turns out that Sadie has a secret that she hasn't told Axell. Will their be able to survive her secret or will it fall apart? This was a pretty emotional read and you'll want to have your tissues handy.
Axell and Sophie have been together for years. They have a good life. A decision Sophie made when she was young can no longer be ignored. Need for Speed asks the question can you forgive the love of your life?
The James Brothers series is fun and emotional. That is one of Stephanie Nichole's strengths as a writer is being able to tap into the hearts of her characters. She mixes that with family, street racing, and confronting a myriad of feelings and traumas.
Need for Speed, as well as the prior books in the series, are good contemporary stories.
Sadie has a secret from her past which comes back to her now her mother is dying. But she never told her husband Axell about it at all. And it is something big, something which is changing their lives for ever. Can he ever trust her again?
In the mean time we meet up with the other James's brothers too. Always nice to see them again. I feel for Sadie and for Axell. Well written only some more racing could be put into it. I just like reading about a good race.
Axell is the oldest of the James boys and he was the one that had to grow up fast when there parents died he and Sadie seem to have the perfect relationship that has lasted for fifteen years but Sadie is keeping secrets and they are starting to come out Will Axell walk away or will he fight for her and meanwhile will his love of speed finally be the end of him All together another great book in this series I thoroughly recommend it
Axell and Sadie's love story is well established. Axell loves to race he loves the speed but made a choice to have Sadie and her love. They are married, their careers are set, the brothers that Axell has raised are happy and in a good place and then a secret from Sadie's past has to be told. I enjoyed that this book was full of love, for each other as well as family. The characters were well-written and very likable.
Need for Speed is the fourth book in the James Brothers series. This book focuses on Axell and Sadie. They have finally gotten married and things should be smooth sailing. But the past always has a way of coming back. Sadie isn't the perfect girl that Axell things she is. She has something from her past that she's kept to herself. How will Axell react? Will their marriage survive? This was a good story. I did feel like the ending was a little rushed, but overall a good read.
Need for Speed is an emotional-gut-punch. It has all the feels, and it was easy to get lost in the story of Axell and Sadie, I’m so happy to finally have the story of the oldest James Brother. Love the ease of Stephanie Nichole’s writing style, as she interweaved the past and present of the characters, it was easy to pick up the book and not want to put it down. I can’t wait to read more from the James Brothers Series.

A well written but at times a bit too confusing and fast paced for me. Nice storyline and plot. Likeable characters. Well defined. A lot of secrets from her past comes back to her and she has to settle all things right. Drama, emotions, secrets, twists and turns makes this an enjoyable and captivating read.
Axel James had to grow up fast and take responsibility for his brothers and the family business. And he was loving life with Sadie by his side. But somethings changed and he can’t figure out what happened to his marriage. Can they get past her Sadie’s secret? Or will it kill more than their marriage?
This is book four in the James Brothers Series and Axell and Sadie’s story. Axell and Sadie have been together for years and seem to have it all. However, Sadie has secrets she hasn’t shared with Axell. When Sadie’s secrets comes to light, will their relationship make it through? Such a beautiful story and a definite must read. Highly recommend!
My first book by this author. How can a relationship survive when a secret that has been kept for years finally comes out. I enjoyed the book, and look forward to reading more books by Stephanie Nichole. I would give this book a 4.5
Sadie is everything to Axell. She calms him. She's his anchor. Sadie has a secret and she's afraid it will tear them apart. Will their love be enough? Loved the story and characters. Got the book free for honest review.
Brilliant. Just absolutely brilliant. I started reading this story and couldn't stop. It had its ups and downs but I enjoyed every word. It kept me interested and wanting more the whole way through. I highly recommend this book. I can't wait for more.
Another great janes brothers book full of twists and turns on a long dark winding road, causing those butterflies and knots in your stomach. I love the ride this family is taking us on. You never know what’s going to happen next!!
This is a fantastic read. I loved Axell from the start and was really looking forward to his story. I was surprised by the drama in Sadie's past but it worked really well. The whole love and trust theme was wonderful to read.
Sometimes love is worth fighting for and the characters is this book proves just that. I love this addicting series and author keeps getting better and better. Let just say I am addicted to the series.
Loved Axell and Sadies’s story. I really enjoyed this story line with. All it’s drama and angst. This series has been such a roller coaster to read. Great characters and different story lines for each couple. Can’t wait for more.
Axell and Sadie’s story may be my favorite one in the James Brothers series. Their love is just so amazing and everything they have gone through has just made their bond even stronger. They are the definition of soul mates and I loved reading how their life together began.
