The 8 short stories were fun in their own way. However, I would have rather read one very well-rounded story than these 8 short stories. I get that they are short stories but 7 of 8 were lacking serious depth of any sort. There just wasn't enough story there for me to call most of these a story, I have seen high school essays for English Composition that had more depth than these stories.

I'm wavering between 1 and 2 stars. I didn't dislike the stories, I found them seriously lacking but they were fun and interesting in a very abbreviated way. If I had paid for this book instead of winning it on Goodreads, I would be seriously upset.

This book is a great read. I love that the stories are short and complete unto themselves. I can read while in a waiting room or a bus stop. The words just flow off the page and the characters are all pieces of each of us. Who has not longed for a different time, or wanted revenge. I highly recommend diving into another aspect of yourself with this book.

Overall the short stories were quick and simple. Made for a fast read. A few I felt could have a little more, while others were just dragging on. I did enjoy it for small quick reads.

I enjoyed this short story collection. There were some stories that I enjoyed more than others and some that I would have loved for them to have been longer.
