I liked the concept of an individual falling into a M/M romance novel and trying to survive the various encounters that could lead to her death at any moment. But there are two problems I have.

One are the love interests. Initially since it was a M/M romance harem novel, most of the males fall in love with Yurgel. Makes sense right? So why is it that now they are starting to fall in love with the MC? I would have been more content if only one would fall for her and the rest were still going to hope that some kind of relationship could start between them and Yurgel. At least the king is the only one that remains consistent in that.

Secondly the introduction to Klein. What is the dumb romance did I just read? This man apparently had a love interest and she passed away before the start of the novel. He returns home after the war and finds Ash and instantly "proclaims" his love to her. But it isn't because he is in love its because she is the only thing left of his love, a keepsake of her. Hence he pursues her. And Ash has some intelligence to diverge the plot to survive this world yet she doesn't seem to realize that he is not in love but simply choosing to have her as a memento of his deceased lover. I would have preferred if she would have told him after hearing that she was a keepsake of this person that he was an ass and didn't have feelings or actually respected her and should leave her alone.

It was a good sounding story but it falls into the regular nonsense I simply just hate.

Season 1: (Chapters 1-44)

Storyline: Ash Tolkayn was an ordinary office worker before she somehow became a maid in a BL novel with a scandalous love triangle between the King, his mysterious male lover, and the jilted Queen.

Well I finished season 1, but ended up DNF-ing at chapter 55. The start was confusing, boring, but made me want to kept reading because I wanted to figure out the weird melancholy mystery going on.

However, in my need to figure out what the hell was going on- I ended up reading the novel spoilers and I think I'll be fine letting this one go...because honestly I was pretty bored with the characters and storyline.

For the most part I don’t really usually like transmigration novels where the main character doesn’t do much, but I get it. I get why she doesn’t do much. It’s a horrible position to be in, and she is unfortunately at the center of it.

I laugh and I cry because I can feel Ash’s helplessness, I’m wanting to survive, but not wanting to become harsh because of it. The translations are pretty slow but I’ve been following this for years, and I love it.

And the king can go f himself.

ช่วงแรกชอบพล็อตมากกก ทะลุนิยายกลายเป็นเมดธรรมดา ๆ ในนิยายวายเลยนะ ไม่ใช่องค์หญิงองค์ใจ ลูกดยงลูกดยุค ต้องมาเอาตัวรอด ช่วยเลี้ยงเด็ก ต้องเกือบลืมชื่อตัวเอง เป็นหนึ่งในตัวละครไม่กี่ตัวในมันฮวาโรมานซ์แฟนตาซีที่อยากกลับโลกเดิมของตัวเองใจแทบขาด แต่พล็อตที่ปูมาน่าสนใจก็เหมือนปูนานไปหน่อย บทจะพีคก็เลยขมวดคิ้วเพราะใส่จังหวะมาแปลก ๆ ช่วงท้ายไม่กลมกล่อมเลย แต่นี่ชอบคสพ. ของนางเอกและแก๊งเพื่อนเมด กับแก๊งหนุ่ม ๆ ของเธอมากกก ดูเพื่อนซี้ปึ้กกันจริง ๆ

โดยเฉพาะตัวละครชายอย่างมิโอ เป็นคสพ.ที่สบายใจสุด ๆ เวลาโผล่มาใช้เวลานั่งคุยกับนางเอก เป็นเจ้าของคำพูดที่เราเอาขึ้นโควต555 มาจากตอนที่ 126 เขาเป็นตัวละครที่...คิดว่าคงเป็นเกย์อะ ก็แอบชอบนายเอกในนิยายวาย ในตอนนั้นเขาบอกนางเอกอย่างชัดเจนเลยว่าสักวันนางเอกก็ต้องแต่งงาน ถ้าไม่รู้จะแต่งกับใครงั้นแต่งกับเขาก็ได้ อยู่ด้วยกันนะ เพราะนางเอกเคยให้ใจตัวละครหนึ่งไป (อันที่จริง 2 ตัวละครเลย) ก่อนจะพบว่าเขาเห็นเธอเป็นแค่ตัวแทนของใครอีกคนเท่านั้น และมิโอเองก็ไม่มีวันสมหวังกับความรักของตัวเองเหมือนกัน ก็เลยวางแพลนจะแต่งงานตามธรรมเนียมสังคม แล้วอยู่ด้วยกันกับนางเอกฉันเพื่อนตลอดไป 🥹 เราชอบซีนนี้มากถึงขั้นอ่านแล้วน้ำตาคลออะ

เพราะบรรยากาศเวลาสองคนนี้อยู่ด้วยกันมันนุ่มละมุนมาก เหมือนแสงจันทร์กับดวงดาวเลย

แต่สุดท้ายก็มีพระเอกและนางเอกก็ได้กลับโลกเดิมแหละ เย้ ส่วนพระเอกไม่ใช่คนที่เราอวยและเป็นคนที่เราตั้งแง่มาก ๆ ว่าจะจบกับใครก็ได้ ขอแค่ไม่จบกับคนนี้พอ ใช่จ่ะ ชีนางเอกเลือกคนนั้น แต่ใครชอบก็ชอบแหละ เราแค่เผลอคาดหวังให้ไม่มีพระเอกแล้วใช้ชีวิตแฮปปี้กันจนจบเรื่องน่ะ ขอแค่ยังรักษามิตรภาพเพื่อนซี้กับหนุ่ม ๆ ไว้ก็พอ แต่สุดท้ายก็มีซะงั้น แล้วนายคนนี้ไม่ได้ใจเราอะ ยังมีหลายอย่างที่เรากังขากับไม่ชอบเขา พอจบงี้เลยนอย 1 พอเนื้อเรื่องช่วงจบมันแอบอิหยังวะก็นอยอีก 2 กลายเป็นศูนย์รวมความนอยไปเลย55555

Finished seasons 1 and 2. I'm torn. It's kinda interesting. I wanna know the answers to what's really going on, but the lead is kind of aimless. The title is apt because she's not really working towards any particular goal. She's just living/surviving in this new life. It's understandable, but not very compelling.

There are several "male leads" none of which seem like real romantic prospects for this to go in a romance direction. Like there are levels of interest shown, but she doesn't seem inclined towards any of them in that way. Honestly, it seems more like she's interested in the queen, but I don't THINK that's where the story is going. Again, it's hard to get a read on this story since there's no set goal. I'm pretty ok with no romance for her except that it keeps coming up. She talks about it, some of the mystery is about it, but she just doesn't FEEL any romantic inclination in any of these situations.

We get more and more little discoveries dripped in about the dark truth of this world/book she read, with no plan to do anything about any of it. Understandable. She's just a maid. She has no power. But as a reader I want her to WANT something. All the scenes work well in the moment. I just want it to add up to something bigger.

Primer temporada de 44 episodios.

De cierta manera se me hace súper ligera la lectura de esta novela, a diferencia de otras novelas la protagonista no es agresiva, no busca peleas y simplemente es lo que dice el título "Sobreviviendo como una mucama". Ash se la pasa en la intriga y miedo; no sabe nada de la verdadera Ash asi que intenta llenarlo con especulaciones, también intenta sobrevivir pues no es cualquier mucama si no que esta en el palacio de la Reina que no es amada.
