You Ain't Gotta Be Perfect
One to do things by the book, Adoree Watkins has always followed the rules. Adoree wants to be a marine biologist and has every detail of her life planned. Her NFL-bound boyfriend, Jerrod, has been in her life since the ninth grade. Jerrod loves Adoree, but when he starts to step out their relationship, does she find out? Does Jerrod do something drastic to keep Adoree in his life?
Adoree bumps into a tatted up stranger who she knows she needs to stay far away from, but the more she tries to stay away, the more she is drawn to him. Will she allow this sexy man to draw her in, even with her boyfriend, Jerrod, in the picture?
Fresh from the concrete jungle, Synovus Lee, Jr. is the king of the streets. Hitting the streets and making sure his girlfriend, Zaviana Mccoy, is well taken care of is the only thing he knows. Synovus loves photography when he isn’t in the streets. He only knows how to hustle to make money. When he finds out his hobby could make him decent money without the consequence of being arrested, he starts to think about leaving the game. Will Zaviana be accepting, especially when she knows the cash flow might not be the same? Synovus will do anything for Zaviana. That is until Adoree steps into his life.
Anyone with eyes can see that Adoree and Synovus are definitely from different sides of the track, but will that stop them from getting to know each other? Will they fall in love, or will gravity keep them in their current relationships?

Good story
This was a good start to what looks to be a drama filled series. I need Adoree and Syn together ASAP. I love the friendship they have. Also I’m sick of Jerrod and Zay already lol.

STUPID
This has got to be one of the dumbest books I’ve read in a while. I’ve only made it to 33% of the book and I’ve already got a headache. So you mean to tell me this thug teacher pulled a gun out on a student in front of EVERYBODY at a high school graduation party over a high school STUDENT THAT HE SHOULDNT HAVE BEEN HAVING SEX WITH IN THE FIRST PLACE? So let me guess he’a a teacher and a drug dealer on the side..😒😒 like come on make it make sense. Then this girl’s parents act slow asf like wtf how you letting this BOY treat ya daughter like this? Oh and let’s not forget how the big drug dealer gets treated like a weak B word by his nothing girlfriend. The author made him look so weak so now I can’t even look at him like I’m supposed too (book bae). Ugh over it.. ALL RICH BLACK MEN ARE NOT DRUG DEALERS. When are y’all gone get over that.

Adoree was dealing with a lot from her on again off again boyfriend! He was running through women like water, but claimed he loved her! What happens when she finds out about his 2 huge secrets? Syn was having problems with his woman and she is expecting. When he meets Adoree , she is like a breath of fresh air! They are beginning to develop feelings for each, but are already in relationships with other people. When Adoree’s man comes town to surprise her and she is having dinner with Syn and her girls will everyone play nice. A great read!

Freshman year of college is just that a fresh start for the next phase of life. But when you have been sheltered and in a bubble , a new culture will shock you while adapting. Adoree judged Syn as soon as she saw him. He ended up giving her a reality while sparking interest. Enjoyed this first installment.
