This was an exciting book to read for Spanish class. Casa Dividida tells the story of the Cuban Revolution, primarily from the perspective of two families. While the narrative is simple, being a beginning level Spanish book, the relational and socio-economic dynamics are complex. Becuase of that this book was informative, while also helping my Spanish to improve.
Honestly a dope book. I thought with the two perspectives at the beginning being guy and girl that it was a romance, it was not. I cannot remember the age gap but it was there I realized about halfway through. It did actually teach me about both sides of communism so that was pretty cool.
