Trust doesn’t come easily for wedding planner Frankie Willows. After losing her parents and giving up on a future that society finds more important than she does, she’s decided love is overrated.
Milo Winters, hopeless romantic and underwear model, does not think love is overrated. His parents had true love, so did his grandparents, so where’s the love of his life? But most women only see a pretty face and a good time.
A chance encounter sets Frankie and Milo on a journey neither of them expected—an explosive one night stand that leads to a weekend of fake dating. And when he can’t walk away, they make a friends with benefits deal.
Falling in love was never part of the plan, but one month is all it takes for them to realize they belong together.
Until one secret brings everything down, reminding Frankie why she avoided love in the first place.
How do they rebuild that trust and find their way back to forever?

No Spoiler Review 👇🏻
This is the second book in the Love in Wildes series. I absolutely loved the first book (Almost Maybes), so I was so excited for this one. And boy did it live up to my hype.
I actually think I might like this one better than the first but then I remember the first and it’s hard. Both of these books are amazing, and I can’t wait to read more from Anna.
This book happens in tandem with the events of the first book. I recommend reading this series in order.
This book follows Milo (male model), and Frankie (wedding planner). They have a “one night stand”…..that turns into friends with benefits. There is also fake dating and all the steamy romance that you could want. It’s also hilarious and full of so much love. Plus an excellent cake tasting scene 😉
One thing I love about Anna is that her characters feel real. They are flawed and raw. Their emotions I can relate too. It’s something that isn’t present in many romcoms I read so it’s one thing I absolutely love in this series.
I highly recommend this series and this book. If you love romance you need to check these books out!
I received an ARC from the author in exchange for my honest review.
CW: Abortion (past), sterilization (past), cancer, death of parents, mentions of tokophobia.
Love in Wildes just got better! Milo and Frankie were so good. What a beautiful love story! I love it when the characters get together early in the book and slowly build their relationship together. Frankie and Milo went from a one night stand to friends with benefits to lovers, and it was so soft. I truly adore this kind of story because it feels realer to me. Two characters that like each other exploring their lives but giving in to their attraction at the same time is so beautiful to me.
Frankie’s trust issues were so well written. Anna totally managed to show how flimsy the confidence is when you’ve been burnt in the past. Even the smaller thing can destroy what you’ve been building for months. I could totally understand her. Milo was so gentle, as well. I loved that he accepted she needed time and space but at the same time reminded her that he loved her.
We need more books with a childfree ending! While I love epilogues with babies, I also love when couples actively decide they won’t have children. I think it’s very important to show this kind of ending as well in a positive light because it’s not a selfish option under any circumstance.
Once again, I totally recommend this wonderful series! Anna writes so beautifully. Reading her books always feels like a hug.
First I have to thank the author for sharing an early ARC with me in exchange for my honest review. I fell in love with Frankie and Milo and their big-hearted, messy, reverse age gap love story between a professional model and a wedding planner from the first page!
What starts off as a hot one night stand pivots to a fake dating relationship and later a long distance relationship with tons of bumps along the way.
Frankie has been hurt by love in the past and isn't looking for anything serious or long-term but she just can't resist Milo's charm, abs or his big wonderfully welcoming family!
While this book tackles some heavy topics, from Frankie's tokophobia (fear of pregnancy and giving birth) and past abortions and Milo's grief over his mother's death, the sizzling romance and deep conversations were incredibly well written. These characters felt so real and I couldn't help but cheer for them!
Recommended for fans of authors like Abby Jimenez, Chloe Liese or Hannah Bonam-Young and people who enjoy romances with depth, found family and great mental health rep! A warning to readers, the events of this book are very much intertwined with those in Almost maybes, (the first book in the series) and I would advise reading the books in order. I can't wait for the next book!
"I'll have you in every lifetime, Frankie, there's not a single thing in the world that could stop me from having you."
- Age gap (she’s 10 years older) - Model x wedding planner - Opposites attract: she doesn’t do relationships and he’s a “forever kind of guy”. - Golden Retriever hero - He falls first and HARD - Dual POV - Check CWs (at the beginning of the book)
Here's a quick relationship breakdown: One-night stand that turns into fake dating that turns into friends with benefits that turns into a month-long relationship that turns into forever 😅.
Frankie and Milo were opposites in so many ways, but this dynamic just kind of made them perfect for each other. Frankie was full of confidence and sass, but I loved how Milo slowly wormed his way into her heart with his golden retriever energy. I swear this man had zero faults. He was charming, understanding, sweet and just plain HOT. He just wanted her in whatever form she'd give him.
But at the end of the day, Milo and his family truly gave Frankie everything she’d been missing and didn’t think she needed: love, a safe and trusting relationship, and family. The character growth and spice were both exceptional and I'm looking forward to continuing straight onto book three in this world!
Excuse me. I’m speechless. That was…everything. This was described as high heat and damn she was not lying lol. I fucking love Frankie. Like top characters of the year love her. Milo was also superb. He’s an underwear model head over heels in love - I mean come on 😭.
I’m obsessed with everything Anna P hasn’t even written yet.
As Anna did with her first novel, which I ADORED, this book is a seamless blend of fun, lustful joy and yet some heavy, meaningful, thoughtfully written topics. Frankie is immediately your friend from page one. A charming, honest, driven woman with some very understandable hesitations regarding love. Milo is truly something special. I loved his family, his heart, his humour and the way he cared for our girl Frankie. Beautifully written.
I love getting so sucked into a story that the idea of one more chapter turns into an all-nighter! I’m quickly falling in love with Wildes and the characters Anna P. is crafting. I didn’t feel a huge pull for more details about the Frankie & Milo side piece in Almost Maybes (again, if you haven’t read it what are you waiting for?!) because Ollie and Jax were just perfection. And that’s part of the magic in the storytelling because, wow!
We already know a bit about Frankie from the first book, but she’s so much more than the strong, creative, boss that shows up as Ollie’s best friend. Milo brings so much more to the page than his distractingly handsome self, and his family is fantastic! The vulnerability and growth from this pair is filled with heartbreak, healing, heat…. so much good!
Again, there’s a page of trigger warnings and transparency about what’s coming in the pages of this book - I love that Anna P. leaves nothing to chance as she tackles touchy topics head on. This half night stand turns to fake dating fast and wowza this one is super spicy!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book...
Anna has done it again. She has managed to weave in all the fun bits about romance. Diner dates. Acts of service. A hot, caring and passionate hero. With topics of critical importance in our society right now like abortion. Sterilization and woman's choice. You wouldn't think somebody could intertwine these two topics but you don't know Anna.
She did it with a beauty and grace that only I can admire. I love that our main heroine, Frankie, is a woman who knows what she wants. She's direct. Enjoys sex. Yet, knows her boundaries and never compromises on it for anyone. Milo is a sweet guy. Raising his siblings after the death of his mother, he's gone into this constantly caring mode for his family, but doesn't realize his family is grown. Now is the time to start living for him.
We also get to see some fave couples like Ollie and Jackson! Lachlan, Everleigh, and Gavin. The book is also happening during the course of Almost Maybes, so you get to see Ollie and Jackson's relationship from the outside which I loved.
Milo and Frankie both share a bond in the lost they've suffered from important people in their lives but their love isn't a trauma bond. They both grow. Frankie has to learn to trust. Milo has to make decisions for himself.
That's what I love in my romance novels. Smut with a lesson.
While I wanted to freaking strangle Frankie a couple times, I understood her hesitance in the beginning of pursuing a relationship with Milo. She's suffered some stuff, but Anna allows her characters to make their own decision and decide the plot of the book. That's what makes Anna P. an amazing author.
One thing that I was SO happy to see in this book is Frankie is open with her sterilization with Milo, she allows him to consider that in being a relationship with her going forward if he wanted children of his own. Milo doesn't make his mind up immediately! I love that. He also gets consideration and time to figure out what works for him in his own feature and I'm so glad Anna added that.
This book doesn't lack in spice. These characters... They're like rabbits. So don't think the heavy stuff is going to weigh down a sweet and caring romance between these two characters.
Romance mixed with a social conscious and gives representation into couples and people who choose to be child-free in a positive light is what we need to see more of, especially with characters over 35.
A big thank you to Anna for this eARC in exchange for an honest review!! <3
While I liked parts of this book, this book didn't quite land with me. At times the cadence was confusing from a dual-POV for me and the story felt forced in some spots. The conflict was very out of character for one of the characters (trying not to spoil anything!) which also felt off to me.
I did really like how evident the passion, love and support for the character's family and friends were. <3 Strong family/friends bonds!
But you may very well enjoy this if you love: - Fake dating - Friends with benefits - HEAAAAAT. Anna is packing that heat in this book <3 (Oh and it's open door ;) )
BIG Trigger Warning: Book discussed tokophobia and abortions, plural. I really liked Anna's note in the beginning of the book addressing this. I don't agree with the decisions the character in the book made but I really liked how Anna handled it and wrote it out because while I wouldn't have made that decision I sympathized with that character.
Almost Forevers is a steamy, open door romance following underwear model Milo and wedding planner Frankie who start out with a one-night stand that quickly turns into a faking dating scheme. The chemistry between the pair is palpable, and the book gets steamy quick. I loved the open conversations between Frankie and Milo in intimate moments. They were full of consent, care, and vulnerability.
Milo was totally swoon-worthy. I loved how considerate and thoughtful he was of Frankie. It was sweet watching him fall so fast. I adored his chaotic and funny large family that added comic relief. Despite a tragic backstory and some hardships to overcome, Frankie is very vocal about what she wants out of life. It was refreshing to see a couple navigate a childless relationship by choice. The book broaches tough subjects, including abortion, sterilization, tokophobia, and grief with care.
Almost Forevers is available now on Kindle Unlimited. A special thanks to Anna P for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
I have read Frankie and Milo *FRILO*'s story three times now and I'm blown away by how awesome their story is. 💗
Frankie plans happily ever afters and Milo is an underwear model, I mean...come on people?! Milo is super sweet and caring and the most wonderfullest (totally a word) hero and Frankie is sassy and independent but also scarred. 😫
Their romance starts out as a one night stand, turned fake dating and ends with Forever. Their chemistry was to die for and I loved being able to check in with the other Wildes residents we've already met and get vibes on those upcoming.🥵
Some tough topics come up so make sure you check trigger warnings and take care when reading but these are handled with such care. 💗
If you haven't got Frilo then why not?? I seriously want to know!
From a one night stand to fake dating to friends with benefits, I instantly got sucked into Frankie & Milo’s story. The progression of their physical relationship into something more felt real, full of soft moments and setbacks as both characters had their own insecurities they needed to work through, fighting for themselves so they could get to that HEA. And what an ending it was! It was so refreshing and NEEDED to read about characters who, for whatever reason, don’t have kids because it’s a reality for many people. It’s not something I’ve seen much in romance books so I was really happy it was addressed in this ♥️
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
From a one night stand to friends with benefit and then to lovers. A steamy story between Milo and Frankie, a wedding planner and a male model, navigating the in between of being friends with benefit and actual love. Loved the characters, the chemistry really made the book.
A very interesting read. I felt this one much improved on the first book greatly. The story was very interesting and I liked how they handled the topics in it
“Frankie was gripping his hand with both of hers and Milo felt his heart race at the simple act of holding hands with this woman.”
💙
Quick Summary: 💭 Dual POV 😎 One night stand to lovers ♥️ Fake dating 👯♀️ Stong female friendship 🤜🏼 Bromance 🏡 Found family 🥵 Tension 💬 Banter 🌶️ Super spicy 🥰 He falls first ⚠️ Check trigger warnings
This was such a great read! I loved Frankie from Anna’s first book, Almost Maybes, and it was lovely to read from her POV. She’s a prickly one and a bit messy, but you can’t not love her. In fact, you love her because of that. She meets Milo and they instantly fall into bed together. He wants more and she wants out. But slowly, they get to know each other, find themselves in a fake dating situation and fall in love.
Frankie’s time with Milo’s family was also incredibly special to read, as a family is something she desperately wants but never thought she could have. I love her friendship with Ollie. It’s one of my most favourite parts of this series. I also love Milo! He’s such a softie, and so unafraid of love. I love how much he loves Frankie. These two were funny and feisty and just super horny. Whilst this is a romance, this story also deals with death of parents, abortion, sterilisation, and tokophobia, and does so in a graceful way.
The spice was great, the characters’ growth was beautiful and I’m super impressed that Anna wrote both this book and the first one as happening simultaneously. Definitely read this one!
This book is a month old already and shame on me for writing a review until now! Because if there's one book that made me smile in 2022, one that brought out the romantic (and horny) and hopeful in love spirit out of me, it was definitely Almost Forevers.
After reading Almost Maybes and falling in love with Jackson and Ollie, it's almost impossible not to crave Frankie and Milo next! My friend Anna knows exactly how to write the perfect steam that goes hand in hand with a real and believable soul connection that would make you swoon and feel giddy for hours and hours.
I have to start talking about my sweet Milo. He had stars in his eyes whenever he was with Frankie. He is the type of hero who you wish was real because he's just too good to be true. Caring, genuine and passionate with a hopeful heart and soul. He wanted so hard to be loved and wanted and had so much to give. One of my favorite things about him is how he appreciated and love everything about her. The good, bad and the ugly, no matter how hard it was and no matter if he had to wait. He was understanding and respectful of Frankie's boundaries and I loved how he was able to make her fall in love with him without being overbearing.
Frankie was just a badass. A bundle of rational fears and insecurities but none of them too heavy to stop her from going after what she truly wanted, in her own terms and time. A fierce and passionate heroine with an ice wall around her heart but vulnerable enough to let this underwear model with a heart of gold to melt it. I definitely empathized with her in every hesitation and was able to understand why she wanted to protect herself and her heart. I truly loved how she grew throughout the story and how she was able to really open up and let Milo's love change her for the better.
The two of them were the sweetest of the sweetest. Diner dates, pies and milkshakes, the hottest sexy times that made me fan myself more than once, their openness to talk about hard things and the honesty they developed made my heart swoon so hard. It was impossible not to root for them all along.
My last shout out: Found family is one of my favorite tropes, it brings so much heart to the story, making it irresistible. Anna is writing this trope so beautifully in this series. I smiled so hard seeing Frankie and Oleander together again (because their friendship is everything). The banter between Milo and the guys and of course Milo's family embracing Frankie so easily and fast when she most needed it. Aaaahhh impossible not to swoon hard!
If you haven't read this magnificent book, what are you waiting for? It's the perfect mix of hot, sweet and fun that you probably don't realize you need!
First of all, I'd like to thank Anna P. for the opportunity of reading "Almost Forevers" early, making me part of your ARC team for this book because after reading Almost Maybes and finding out that Milo and Frankie gets together, I just simply couldn't wait!
Bear with me as I try to write a non-spoiler-y review. I loved Frankie in the first book and I loved the snippets of her and Milo's relationship, and after reading this book, my expectations were more than met! A lot of this book is about found family. I love the found family trope, it never fails to make me cry and as expected, this book made me cry a lot. Found family has a different kind of love compared to romantic love and this book had a perfect balance of both. Frankie and Milo will always have a special place in my heart.
I can't wait for everyone else to read this come November 25th!
I recently read Almost Forevers by Anna P. and I loved it! It comes out this Friday! I’m obsessed with Frankie and Milo. I loved the characters (great cast of characters), loved the plot (funny, sweet, sexy, a little angsty, it has everything), and obvi I loved the steam too🥵(really like hot damn).
The first book, Almost Maybes, was so good and one of my faves recently so I was super excited for the opportunity to read Almost Forevers early! The books are a series, interconnected romances about a friend group, each one a different couple. I would suggest reading them in order, you would get some plot spoilers if you didn’t.
The author has a detailed content warning page in the beginning of the book. There’s also a list in the plot synopsis on Goodreads, etc.
List time! 🍰 one night stand 🍰 fake dating 🍰 friend with benefits 🍰 age gap (she’s older) 🍰 lots of spice 🌶️🔥 🍰 erotic cake tasting
The first book, Almost Maybes is already out, it is in Kindle Unlimited if you use that service. Almost Forevers is out this Friday 11/25! Thank you Anna for the advance copy!
4 stars I received an ARC for this book for an honest review. (Thank you!) This was a very simple read with enough smut to keep you satisfied. The fake dating portion of this book was my favorite out of everything that went on. What was supposed to be a one-night stand turns complicated when the guy falls first. Even after rejection, the mmc will take whatever he can get in exchange for just being in the fmc's presence, even if it means her past trauma and all her walls are up to protect her. I love a good "The mmc is hell-bent for the girl" moment. The true hero of this book was the smut and constant sexual tension. The way these two constantly have to touch each other can only be described as animalistic. I was not sad about it! When in doubt, there is always another smut scene around the corner!
A wedding planner and an underwear model? A chance meeting, side arrangement, & fake dating? Um yes please.
SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!!
This is how you do a sequel! A smack down! A slam dunk! Hit the jackpot! Bull’s-eye! A superb lead-pipe cinch from Anna P.! And yes I just learnt this word today, thank you very much, so hopefully it makes sense here & I’m not digging myself in a hole now.
So if you’ve seen my post a while back, I loved reading Ole and Jackson story … like A LOOOT. But I’m sorry guys, I have to say it; I loved Milo and Frankie more. Just a little bit more. Oh my, why does it feel like I’m cheating on the OGs?!
A delicious swoon-worthy sexy read. Said it before & will say it again. Anna knows how to write! Storyline was planned & executed phenomenally. Characters development on point. Pacing was flawless. Everything about this book had me feeling all kind of feels. I wasn’t ready for it to be over. But darn all good things must come to an end. Hey, thats why we have rereads right?!
Milo is everything! I utterly totally absolutely obsessively loved & adored Milo. The true definition of a cinnamon roll! Special heart that one. Frankie a strong independent badass with a touching vulnerable inside. I enjoyed going on their dates with them & being part of those deep discussions they underwent. The chemistry, romance, & banter of these two; top notch 🔥
Their relationship route was a bumpy one, but nevertheless still filled with many heartwarming moments, sweetness, vulnerability, acceptance, growth, steaminess, & STEEEAMINESSS. In case you missed the first one. They are many. This one raised the steam bar so high I can’t see it anymore!
As with Anna’s books, she never sheds away from broaching & vocalizing of tough subjects. All handled with upmost care and dignity. I personally didn’t know of tokophobia so this was a definite eye opener for me.
Have I convinced you yet? Please give this series a chance as I promise you won’t regret it!
Much thanks to the author for the ARC. Holding my breath waiting for the next one .. barely!
Thank you Anna for this ARC! I love Frankie and Milo with all my heart! Now that I've read their story, I can't imagine it not existing... so thank goodness it does! 😁
I absolutely love Frankie! I love the confidence she carries herself with and she goes through life like a freaking boss. And Milo! This absolute sweetheart of a man is a family man through-and-through and that means once you're in with him (romantic or platonic), he'll always be there for you. Y'all, the chemistry between these two is 🔥🔥🔥. Does anyone have a fire extinguisher? 😂 I literally loved every second these two were together. I loved their dates bc as fun as they were, there were also meaningful connections in the details. I loved how supportive they were when each shared about sensitive moments in their lives and really, the way they love each other, it's just everything anyone could wish for. Were there hiccups? Sure and my heart broke for them when they needed to step back but it hung on knowing these two would figure it out. And I so want to keep gushing: the little things they did for each other, their playfulness, EVERYTHING. But I'm trying to stay spoiler-free. Just know I loved it. LOVED. IT.
We even get Ollie and Jackson cameos, especially since parts of this book take place concurrently with the first. I really enjoyed revisiting moments from the previous story from a different perspective. And I'd be remiss not to mention Milo's family bc they are a freaking delight. FREAKING DELIGHT, I tell you.
CN: open door romance, mentions of abortion and sterilization, character with tokophobia, mentions of cancer and parental death
I feel so lucky to have had @annawriteshere reach out to me and ask if I wanted to read an ARC of her second book, ALMOST FOREVERS - thank you so so much Anna! Filooooo forever 🥰🫶🏻🫶🏻 This amazing book publishes TOMORROW, November 25!
This is the second book in Anna’s interconnected series, the first one is called Almost Maybes, which I also read and recently reviewed! Almost Forevers actually takes place during the same time as Almost Maybes, and still features the same wonderful friend group, adding in a new character, which I hear may be getting her own book too 👀👀
Listen, I LOVED Almost Maybes. But somehow, I LOVE Almost Forevers more?!? It’s the magic that is Anna’s writing. She is phenomenal at what she does and I never want her to stop writing.
Frankie is a wedding planner, but has a hard time trusting people when it comes to love. Milo, is an underwear model, who has grown up with many love stories, and wants one of his own. The two couldn’t be more opposite, but somehow they click. And boy oh boy do they “click” 🥵🔥🥵🔥 Yes, this is an open for romance, and I believe there are like 6 VERY steamy (and delicious) scenes in which you would not want your parents to read 😅
Okay, I should also mention that Milo’s family is just the best. His sisters are so fun and his grandparents are icing on the cake! I love how they welcome Frankie- because she has never had that kind of family. It’s a really special thing when a MC experiences a found family moment. I also love the relationship Milo has with his dad. And the “talk” they have. Warms my heart 🥰
READ IF YOU LOVE: ✨ dual POV ✨ texts on page ✨ fake dating ✨ age gap- she’s 10 years older ✨ insta-lust ✨ open door, steamy scenes ✨ he falls first ✨ cinnamon role hero ✨ best best friend group ✨ opposites attract ✨ friends with benefits ✨ “good girl” ✨ found family ✨ only one bed ✨ the sweetest love notes ✨ food as a love language
I could go on and on about how much I love this book. Add this book (and Almost maybes!) to your TBR/Christmas wishlist! Paperbacks are LIVE on Amazon!
Right after finishing: I LOVED this book. Ugh so many important topics discussed. Full review to come. Milo has my heart ❤️
Almost Forever is the amazing second book by Anna P, and the best follow up in The Love In Wilde’s series. No one does unique hard-hitting but utterly addictive romance like Anna. This book honestly blew me away.
A rough start for the main character Frankie, and the book does come with a well-written and clear trigger warning, so be sure to check this out to ensure you are happy to continue reading. I applaud Anna for tackling a really tough and traumatic topic, especially in todays climate (when everyone who shouldn’t be commenting on a woman’s body and reproductive rights is trying to have their say.)
Frankie is a beautiful soul who is rightly protective of her heart. Milo is the perfect book boyfriend to try and knock down those barriers. He is patient, passionate, loves everything about Frankie, and allows her to open up and be honest forking a true and solid foundation. What may start out as an assumed one night stand, soon ends in forevers.
I totally shipped this couple, everything about their romance had me captivated from their sweet little dates, to their passionate and hot intimate moments. Milo is the book boyfriend you only wished you could have!
An incredible fake-dating romance which is worth all the stars you could give it. One of the best reads I’ve had in a long time and I highly recommend to those who are looking for romance with a different kind of edge to it. The characters are relatable, and it was good to see previous characters such as; Oleander from book 1 make an appearance. I am so immersed in this world and Anna’s stories. Bring on another book!
I was lucky enough to receive an Advance Reader Copy (ARC) of Almost Forevers written by Anna P. This post will be a non-spoiler review.
Have you ever wanted to read a book that cuts straight to the smut? No beating around the bush, or slow burn. Well, this is the book for you. I admit it was a bit much to me at first, not because it was any more explicit than any other version of smut I have read but, because I was not used to the confidence of showing all your hands at the beginning of the book. There are so many topics covered in this book that are very important and, should be discussed more. For instance, grief, as many of you know I relate very strongly to all things grief at this stage of my life and I can strongly say that this book understands all the complex emotions that come with it. I was a fan of all the unique names and characters that the story held. I was very interested in having the woman be more in touch with her sexuality than the man. I also appreciated the age gap between Milo and Frankie. Often when it comes to age gaps it is between a male authority figure and a young female victim. This book is refreshing both adults are of consenting age and attracted to each other, because of who they are. This book will show you even if you believe love is not in the cards for you the world may show you otherwise. There were some very well-thought-out relationship-building moments, but I wish that was expanded upon. The writing is very visual painting clear pictures for all to see.
This book was so good! This is the second book in the Love in Wildes series that Anna started this year. I read the first book earlier in the year and was so excited to get to read a copy of this one! I really loved the first book (Almost Maybes) and this one was definitely another hit!! You are introduced to Milo and Frankie in book one and I just knew I would love their love story and I was so right!
The banter and chemistry between Milo and Frankie in this book was top notch! This had me in all my feels throughout between making me laugh, cry, angry, and just all the things. Milo is totally book bf material!! He is an underwear model, who you might think would be arrogant and cocky, but he takes care of his dad, grandparents, and practically raised his twin sisters 🥹 And omg the steam in this book was 🥵🔥 There was a book I read a couple of months ago where the steamy scenes were cringy with the writing and terminology used but let me tell you, Anna does a fantastic job!
I just all around loved this book and cannot wait to read book three! Thank you so much Anna for the opportunity to read this!!
Milo is pretty much the perfect book boyfriend. Honest, caring, looking for commitment, and gorgeous.
Frankie has it together in her career as a wedding planner but her love life - or lack thereof - could use some help. Help she doesn’t want - at least not at first. But buried under layers of trauma is someone who wants to let the man of her dreams love her, and to love him back.
And it’s obvious to them both, whether they want to admit it or not, that that man is Milo. So their road to HEA is rocky, but it’s also filled with sweetness, steaminess, and growth for them both. The fake relationship portion at the beginning felt off to me, but admittedly I struggle with that trope, and in any case, this story had plenty of real, heartrending emotions and decisions for our MCs.
I enjoyed this angsty, sexy, drama-filled follow-up to Almost Maybes, and I’m definitely looking forward to book three!
I've finally gotten to reading Book 2 of this wonderful series by Anna P. After reading the first book, I just knew that this one wouldn't disappoint.
Milo and Frankie are the ultimate horndogs, and with so much steam, it made me blush. At the same time I appreciated it for highlighting tough topics such as abortions, parental death, and tokophobia.
I would give it 4.5 stars but GoodReads don't allow for that. My only critiques are that sometimes the steam took over the plot so much that I lost track of what was happening, some could have been cut out. Also, while I do understand trust issues, I felt like the climax, the "big fallout", was quite underwhelming.
However, the personalities and realness of Milo and Frankie and all the supporting characters kept me engaged and rooting for our couple. And by the looks of the epilogue, we have a lot more juicy stuff in store in the Wildes!
Almost Forevers by Anna P. felt like a slice of warm pie with a mug of scalding hot tea, because dammmmn these two were sweet but could not keep their hands off each other, in the best way. I was a bit worried when I started this book, given the content warnings, but Anna treats the reader gently, which I greatly appreciated. It’s a story about two likable, competent people figuring out what they want and working towards it together, which sometimes means working on yourself, first. I loved the honest and positive discussions around therapy, trauma, and communication. I loved their friendships, family bonds, and mutual love of food. And of course, I loved the wild and imaginative sex scenes 😂 Milo and Frankie are perfect together, and it was great to see Oleander and Jackson again, too! Anna also did too good of a job teasing Lachlan and Everleigh’s story, so now she needs to hurry up and publish it already! (JK, I’ll wait forever…almost forever 😉😆)
I loved this book so much! 😭 It's so wonderful! ❤️
❤️📚 Book Review:
I absolutely adore this book! Milo and Frankie's love story is so sweet and so fun!
Some tropes: 🥧 Fake dating 🥧 Love at first sight 🥧 Diners and pie 🥧 Found family
This book is about Milo, a model, and Frankie, a wedding planner, finding their way to each other. Milo is a hopeless romantic and falls for Frankie fast. When his family asks to meet the girlfriend he made up, he instantly thinks of Frankie and says he'll bring her to see them. But Frankie didn't want anything but a one night stand. Milo gets her to agree to be his fake girlfriend and I think you know how it always goes when that happens! 😉
I love the flow and the writing of this book - I gobbled it up so fast and loved every second! I would highly recommend this one - but, do read the first book in the series first, so you don't get spoilers from it. You won't regret diving into this sweet, spicy, and fun series!
Trigger warnings: abortion (off page), sterilization (in the past), explicit sex (so spicy, but done so very well!), and language. See author's note at the beginning of the book for any I might have forgotten!

“There’s no right or wrong way to love someone…You love your person the way you know how that’s enough. Love isn't a competition…It’s about letting yourself feel everything for someone else.”
Frankie’s badass personae gels with Milo’s sweet cinnamon self; they are both in careers that are going places and what also bonds them is the familial losses in their life. While Frankie deals with trust issues, Milo struggles with making decisions for himself because he’s always been the caretaker in his family.
It’s a lovely story where they have a meet-cute at Frankie’s favourite bar. After their one wild night of going to a diner (so cute) and having a sizzling time in the bedsheets, Milo asks Frankie to be his fake girlfriend while he gets through some family pressure. During their fake relationship, it’s clear that Milo is the one pining for Frankie way more and I totally dig that! *hee hee* And why wouldn’t he? She’s “tough, confident, independent, strong and absolutely incredible. To Milo, that was insanely sexy.” Another thing we absolutely adore in fake relationships is the “fight” to not fall for that person. Frankie tries so hard to fight against the sexual chemistry and the emotional connection she shares with Milo; the longer she fights, the stronger the feelings grow.
What’s unique about Anna P's writing is that she doesn’t stay away from hard topics: abortion, sterilization, and therapy. I appreciated the latter, to be honest, and I like that she used the narrative here to say, “Yo! There’s no shame in it!”
If you like a sizzling “hawt” romance with a fake romance, some nosey and funny relatives, found family, and a 10-year age gap between a working hard wedding planner and an underwear model, you’ve gotta pick this up.
