Ramya is a film actor from the South and is even more familiarly known as a television anchor, with a career in the entertainment industry spanning over a decade. In recent years, she's carved an increasingly popular presence in the health and fitness space and is a certified fitness and nutrition life coach. Her YouTube channel called 'StayFitWithRamya' has a wonderfully active audience. As a social media influencer, she has a combined following of over 3.5 million across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. During the 2020 lockdown, she began writing a fitness memoir in which she shares her roller coaster of a fitness journey and her encounters working in the media over many years-good, bad and ugly. The book digs deep into those stories, mistakes and life lessons; in short, an authentic story of how her mess became her message. Ramya also discusses the effects of mental health on one's fitness journey, plus her book is extremely approachable and not at all intimidating.
I came to know about VJ Ramya about 4 years ago through one of her fitness video in her YouTube channel. I didn't know that she was a VJ or an actor back then. Over these 4 years, I have truly become a fan of Ramya. She inspired me with her discipline, motivated me to get into strength training and reminded me (and many women) that fitness is a lifestyle and not an intermittent event to take up once in a while. So when I got to know that her book was getting published I was sure that I would give it a read. Given the title of her book, I assumed it was going to be a wider collection of the fitness videos in her channel. And boy, was I wrong! The book turned out to be much more than that.I truly enjoyed getting to know a fellow women on a much deeper level, picking up interesting fitness and life lessons all the way. I would recommend all of you , especially the women folks out there to give it a read. For sure, this book will bring a positive change in your life,
The very first intro about Ramya as a person other than a VJ was through a video in their YouTube channel with Nutritionist Shiny about women, weight loss, IF and fitness. Boooom! That one video changed my life. Then the journey led me to reading this book. Most Women can very well correlate most of the things which Ramya experienced and explained in her book. It did motivate me well everyday to focus on fitness and my overall health. Even after completing, I re-read some of the highlights just to get motivation.
