What a terrible book. - five stories repeated in different ways for 264 pages.
If you didn't know Ash was a fan of Richmond and a friend of their captain wait five pages an they will tell you again.
There is zero insight into Barty herself, it is like reading several Wikipedia articles about the same person, and events over and over again, with a slightly different perspective, but not enough for you to say haven't I blinking read this already!
One day someone may write a decent biography of Ash Barty - but not today and not this tripe.
