Book 1: Billionaire Makeover Book 2: The Billionaire Plan Book 3: Billionaire Fake Out
Katherine Garbera is a USA TODAY bestselling author of more than 100 novels, which have been translated into over two dozen languages and sold millions of copies worldwide. She is the mother of two incredibly creative and snarky grown children. Katherine enjoys drinking champagne, reading, walking and traveling with her husband. She lives in Kent, UK, where she is working on her next novel.
Second shot between a reformed mean girl and a guy she totally humiliated in college who is now a billionaire whom she is assisting with making over her image. The caveat is that she totally doesn’t recognize him and he can’t find the right time or moment to come clean to her that they already know one another and she’s hurt him before.
This book sparkled. I loved Olive’s very real feeling friendship with her two girlfriends Paisley and Delaney. They felt like very real women and I loved them and can’t wait to begin their books.
The romance is intense. Undeniable feelings with a very real secret looming between Olive and Dante that you as the reader are aware of and bracing yourself as Dante tries to figure out when to tell Olive that he was someone she bullied and humiliated. I love that Olive has been going to therapy and working on being a kinder person. She truly wants that but I love that Katherine gives us a moment where we see her slip but catch herself. It’s a process. So much of this book is about Who we are, who we are becoming and how those feelings of not being good enough can be so real and the lengths we’ll go to when we think we aren’t.

This is the 1st in a brand new series, I really enjoyed this story, the characters are brilliant, I highly recommend this one. I'm looking forward to the next in this series
An engaging story of a former mean girl gone good with the one that she bullied in college. Loved how they both worked to change their images and to be better versions of themselves. The main characters showed growth throughout the story and learned a lot about their past and present behaviors that showed them that they were still evolving. Enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more.
Billionaire Makeover begins The Image Project series with a romance that is both heartbreaking and uplifting as two former college classmates meet up again years later after some major attitude changes in both of their lives.
At one time, Olive was the best representative of a Mean Girl one could possibly find. That her reputation hid a lot of insecurities is perhaps beside the point but is a factor in why she acted as she did. Olive has since done her best to change her mindset and actions towards others, but it’s a daily struggle, and there is a constant ledger in her mind on how well she is (or isn’t) doing in her own life makeover plan. She’s about to take on a client who seems familiar, but she can’t really say why – and that would be because Dante is a far different man from the college boy she publicly humiliated and then moved on with life as if nothing was wrong with her actions back then.
Dante is now the CEO owner of a very popular beer brewery, as he showcases his creations through Inferno Brewing. As his voice has taken over the airwaves in advertisements recently, it’s now time for the man himself to show his face… which at the moment is rather lumberjack-ish at best. Olive and her company have been hired to give Dante a makeover to show the businessman (billionaire) at his absolute best as he launches his latest creations. Dante’s surprise at seeing the woman who rejected and humiliated him in college is somewhat tempered by the fact that she doesn’t recognize him as Danny, the tubby geek who helped her write project papers and was so hard crushing on her that her ultimate act of humiliation spurred him on to make the changes in his life that were far overdue. She seems different now, and there is a spark of attraction between them… but has she really changed. And is this the perfect time for some payback of his own?
I don’t think I can say enough good things about Billionaire Makeover to convey what a bittersweet, life-changing romance this truly is. I think the majority of us have run into a Mean Girl or a Jerk Guy at least once in our lifetimes, and sometimes that encounter can change our opinions about ourselves for the better (or the worse). In many ways, that’s what Olive’s humiliation of Danny did – he changed, became a man he was proud to be, and if he imagined running into the woman who had hurt him so deeply again, well, maybe payback would be sweet.
There are so many layers to Dante’s and Olive’s romance, their falling for each other, and the ultimate moment when truths are spoken. I hurt for them both for different reasons and watching them come together again as adults, with Olive not knowing exactly who Dante was to her, was such an emotional journey. We get to meet Olive’s friends and co-owners of their makeover company, Paisley and Delaney, while we get some hints of their personalities and possible stories to come in this series. I’ve always loved this author’s work, but Billionaire Makeover is extra special… and it shows.
If you love a well-written, realistic, emotional romance with characters facing not only the past but their future as well, then you’ll want to pick up Dante’s and Olive’s story right now.
This is book one in the Image Project series introducing us to Dante Russo CEO of Inferno Brewing. Dante has a look that is a bit too casual, so his assistant arranges a makeover for him. This is where Olive Hayes comes in the woman who hurt his feelings back in college something he hasn't forgotten. Now of course Olive doesn't quite recognize Dante until later, but she is now a changed woman. Olive and Dante both have feelings for each other, so the key here is letting go of the past to start a future together and Dante was such a sweetheart I just knew these two were going to work as a couple. Great job KG can't wait for other ladies' stories!
I love Katherine Garbera's heroes. Dante was a sweetheart and watching him and Olive come to terms with their past and present was a joy. Also, making over a billionaire was an intriguing idea. Can't wait for the rest of the series.
The one with the FMC that used to be a bully, is hired to spruce up a “billionaire brewer”’s image. She humiliated him in college, but doesn’t remember him now. They have immediate chemistry, but FMC doesn’t feel like she’ll ever make up for her mean girl past.
Former fat nerd turned hot billionaire hires an image consultant, a former mean girl who also happens to be his personal tormentor in college. He isn't and hasn't been able to get over the public humiliation all those years ago, but he also can't get over his attraction towards her. As for her, she's spent years on a personal journey and unpacking in therapy, and just wants to start over in her adult life with a clean slate. When she meets him, she is instantly attracted, but she doesn't recognise him. And so the revenge plot thickens... ( not really, it's a novella). It's a nice book, but I personally would have liked it more if it had a bit of a good redemption arc, not just the aftermath.
