Piper Lawson is a Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author of smart, steamy romance! She writes about women who follow their dreams (even the scary ones), best friends who know your dirty secrets (and love you anyway), and complex heroes you’ll fall hard for (especially after talking with them). Brains or brawn? She’ll never make you choose. Piper lives in Canada with her tall, dark and brilliant husband. She believes peanut butter is a protein, rose gold is a neutral, and love is ALWAYS the answer.
The fourth and final book in the Wicked series, and my least favourite by a long shot. I was sketchy about reading the 4th book, because I felt book 3 wrapped it up nicely, and I was happy with that HEA. I’m kinda disappointed I did read this, because I don’t think it added anything to their romance arc.
In fact, I think it kind of made it worse? Because at this point, as they’ve been in a relationship for some time and they’re about to marry, you’d like to think that they’re communicating, they’re trusting. Plus, there was a lot of manufactured drama that neither did a lot for the story or for me as a reader, and also didn’t go anywhere? I mean, what happened with the mum? That went nowhere (unless that thread is picked up in the series with Tyler and Annie I guess?). Also the drama between Wes and Serena? I don’t feel like that got resolved, or what the point of that was?
So yeah, I wasn’t a fan of this. This didn’t add anything to their story beyond showing us the wedding.
This is unlike any other rock star romance I've ever read. The heroine is truly an independent woman who happened to fall in love with a rock star. She has retained her independence throughout this series, and she has not lost any of it here despite being in the midst of getting married. In fact, I was as taken aback as Jax was during one scene. I'll be honest that I thought this book was just going to be fluff. I was expecting a cute wedding story, but I got much more than simple pre-wedding jitters and funny mishaps. There is actual conflict here that is so much more realistic than this fantasy scenario of marrying a rock star would suggest. At the heart of it are two strong-willed people who love each other passionately, so there is some butting of heads even now. That is true to life, because being in love does not magically make all your differences and problems disappear. Being in love does motivate you to work things out rather than to walk away. I love how the author wrote Jax and Haley as real people who have relatable problems that real couples deal with. It kept this story grounded and kept me involved in their lives throughout the countdown to the wedding.
The worst thing that an author can do is make you remember that you're reading a story. That never happened during this series. This author brought these characters to life and made them real and memorable. And the tantalizing peek we got into Tyler and Annie's relationship is the icing on the wedding cake. I can't wait!
Loved this book. Love Jax and Haley. There was no better way to end the series except with a wedding that had a little issues but their love was able to conquer those. Ms. Lawson did it again and I can't wait to read Annie and Tyler's story. I have a feeling it will be amazing. I highly recommend getting this book. You won't regret it.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
This novel felt like coming home and getting re-acquainted with old friends. Lovely steamy romance; smoldering hot main male character. Very down-to-earth, strong, independent main female character. There was lots of action and adventure, along with drama both dealing with the wedding and other couples dealing with their own growing pains. Strong emphasis on love, loyalty and basic life priorities. Once again there was excellent camaraderie amongst friends.
Interwoven throughout this story was the closeness the main male character's daughter is evidencing with one of the main male character's musical proteges. The last paragraph of the story gives us a direct glimpse into a conversation between the two teenagers. It looks like interesting times ahead. I cannot wait to hear more about all the characters involved in this rock and roll story.
I voluntarily received an advance review copy of this novel from the author and I am leaving and honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to this author.
After recently reading and loving the previous 3 books in this awesome romance series between brilliant college student Haley and the gorgeous rockstar Jax, I was so happy to see I didn't have to wait long for last book in their story!
The wedding and everything leading up to it was a bit wild and crazy, no time for much but more wedding planning much to Jax's frustration! Waiting for Haley to wrap up the loose ends in Philadelphia, missed communications, secrets on many fronts and finding sexy time was only part of the rollercoaster of Forever Wicked.
A beautiful ending to their hard won love story and maybe the beginning of some teen angst when Jax's daughter (with the one who was supposed to remain in the shadows and hasn't!), Annie and Tyler (who wasn't wondering about that curious part of the ending!)get their own series. This one is already on my list! Piper was new to me but not anymore. I loved this entire series.
This was an emotional and sweet ending, that showcases just how much Jax & Haley are perfect for each other. It’s stressful, trying to finish unpacking, getting things done for the wedding, secrets & surprises & chaos. It was a perfect ending for Jax & Haley.
‘Forever wicked’ is the fourth book in the ‘Wicked’ series and you really have to read the previous books before reading this story. The four stories centred all around the same couple, the rockstar Jax and his loved one Haley.
After reading Haley and Jax’s romance story in the three previous books (Good girl, Bad girl and Wicked girl) I was so glad that the writer decided to give us more of them. This novella length story is about their wedding. The story starts a week before the wedding and what a week it is. Everyone knows that planning a wedding is stressful and a lot can happen and that was here the case too!
There were a few surprises in it (some fun and others more stressful), there were sexy times, funny times and emotional moments but through it all you could feel the love that Jax and Haley had for each other, their family and their friends.
‘Forever wicked’ was a lovely reunion with all the characters (and even some from other books). It was wonderful to see everyone back again and read how everyone was doing. The story was again told in both POV’s.
Sometimes after reading a romance book, you wonder how the characters are doing, if they are still happy. In this story, we got the answer on that question and I’m very happy about that.
Forever Wicked is the culmination of one epic road trip. Lawson keeps the beat going as we give our hearts over to it's intoxicating rhythm. Haley and Jax are back for one last encore to celebrate their happily ever after. Get ready to revisit old friends, make new memories and enjoy the show, because Lawson takes this chaotic family out with a bang.
I loved this book. The dynamic and history behind Jax and Haley is rich. This focuses on their upcoming wedding. As always, there are always a few bumps along the way, but they always seem to work themselves out. There were some sweet moments, funny moments, and had plenty of steam. I can't wait for Annie and Tyler's story.
OMG.. What a wonderful and amazing finale to a wonderful book series. I'm so glad that Piper wrote the 4th books so we all could get our happy ending we were hoping for. The ups and downs of Jax and Haley they had to go thru in the final books to get their happy ending was so worth it Thanks Piper for the ride
Jax and Hales are BACK y’all!! I’ve been looking forward to this since I read Wicked Girl and I loved every bit of it!! This is definitely a lighter side of Jax and Haley but it is perfect for this book! ANNNND we get a glimpse into Annie and Tyler! So pumped for them!!!
I love a book that makes you feel like you are in the middle of the story with the characters. Piper’s stories do that. Forever Wicked is sweet and funny. It makes you fall in love with Jax and Haley all over again!
I absolutely adore how Haley has managed to maintain her independence throughout the entire series. Following what felt like a wild and emotional rollercoaster of the first half of this book, I'm glad that Haley and Jax have finally been able to achieve their well-deserved happy ending together.
This is not the place you want to start this series. It would be like reading a book backwards. I was looking forward to listening to Mr. Arden and Ms. Peachwood giving me an ending to Jax and Hayley's story. Our author didn't disappoint with this one and neither did they.
I thought things would go smoothly for our couple but it was far from that. Like in our world, there are obstacles that sometimes get in the way. Plus, I wouldn't get a chance to laugh if everything ran smoothly. By the time I got to Jax and Hayley's happily ever after, I was looking forward to going back and finally listening to all four books of the series back to back.
It was then that I realized that I hadn't heard from Ms. Dioro. You just need to be patient because she comes in at just the right moment. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to listening to more of her but she's left me in something of a quandary. There's part of me that wants to listen to Jax and Hayley's story over again from start to finish. But Ms. Dioro has given me a new series, titled Rivals, that I need to listen to. When I think about it, it's actually Ms. Lawson that has put me in this quandary. She creates characters that seem so real and she has narrators that do a fantastic job in giving them life. Oh, what is a poor reader to do?
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
A Disappointing, Out-of-Character Mid-Season Finale to a Series I Loved
And we’re back to being disappointed — oh well. I read the second part of this series before the first, so even though this is technically book four, it was the final one for me. I had been loving Haley and Jax up until this point because they felt mature, grounded, and real. The story flowed well, their communication made sense, and everything felt emotionally earned.
This book? I genuinely don’t know what happened.
If you told me this was written by a different person entirely, I’d believe you. The characterization felt wildly off, especially for Jax. By the time the male stripper plotline showed up, I was fully out. It was bizarre, completely OOC, and honestly came off as vaguely homophobic in a way that really rubbed me the wrong way.
This also wasn’t a miscommunication trope — it was straight-up failure to communicate, which is frustrating rather than compelling, especially after three books of solid emotional maturity. The only real takeaway is that it very clearly shows how we get from the Jax of books 1–3 to the Jax of the later books… unfortunately.
We wanted a happily ever after for Haley and Jax. Well we got one. But don't go thinking this is the some old romance story you've read over and over. That is not Haley and Jax' fashion. Get ready for fights (they may even lead to some police involvement), doubt, secrets exposed, and lack of communication to keep you guessing the whole time through. Piper Lawson also slips in a surprise or two. You won't be able to get enough. And guess what....it's not over! I am so excited that we get Annie and Tyler's story. I can't wait to jump in. I was obsessed with them in the last book. And their story will hold more Haley and Jax and other supporting characters. Yay! Enough about that, back to this book. I loved it because Haley and Jax relationship feels so real. It's not perfect. They make mistakes. But they learn to grow from them. And talk about swoon! Haley is one lucky lady. Fans of the series will be so happy with this conclusion (but not really a conclusion).
This was a quick and cute ending to this series. We learn from the start that Haley is pregnant again, but she takes her time telling Jax. Honestly, that was annoying to me, but it didn't take anything away from the story. Carter was annoying in this one, though. Unfortunately, for Carter, he decided to come to the wedding rehearsal right after Haley finally told Jax she was pregnant. Jax punched him in the face for it. Two days after that, they get married and go on their honeymoon. It then flashes back to the wedding to Annie talking to Tyler right after a woman, who I assume is her mom, slips her a note. Plus, what was going on with Tyler? Is he going to ask Annie out and go against Jax.

“Music made me a king. She makes me a God.” - JAX MOTHERFUCKING JAMIESON 😍
The fourth and final book in this series. Jax and Haley are getting married, but not without a ton of problems coming in between. The final journey for them to forever. ❤️
Jax and Hayley are back and in love and getting married! But what good would a happily ever after be without some major drama and a will they won't they make it down the aisle? I have loved every step of Jax and Hayley's journey and I'm so happy they get the HEA they get.
This was a short and sweet read that was ok, but it didn’t quite have the same depth as the other books in the series. The story was still engaging, and the writing was fantastic as always, but it felt more like a quick treat than a fully fleshed-out addition to the series.
Can't read the trilogy in a matter of hours and then skip the novella now can we? The novella was just as big of a rollercoaster as the original trilogy. It truly felt like an extension of the trilogy instead of just a simple fan service.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Steamy: 🔥🔥🔥3/3 *Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.* ——————————————————- Oh Piper Lawson, what have you done to my heart!? Bursting with joy, Forever Wicked was the best early Christmas Present. - In October, I binge read the first three books in this series in a span of about 36 hours. I mean it when I say I couldn’t but them down, the same is true with this book. Piper writes in a way that the words just flow and the whole book is as smooth as a good whiskey. She is able to create a world that is all consuming and before I know it, hours have passed and I am entraced. - Jax and Haley finally get their wedding, ya girl loves a good wedding. Hopeless romantic for life. All of our favorites are back, literally the gang is all here. In true Jax fashion, he is moody and hardheaded. Haley still doesn’t take shit from anyone, not even Jax. Serena is still the best friend a girl could ever have. I will never not laugh when Jax calls Carter, “Connor” it kills me everytime. That’s my level of petty and snark. - THAT EPILOGUE. I can’t wait for Annie’s book, I need it in my life. While a part of me is sad that Jax and Haley’s story is over, I am so excited for the spinoff. I love Jax and Haley like they are my inner circle, this book gave me all the feels the first three did and was just absolute perfection. Oh and if audiobook is your thing, Joe Arden reads for Jax soooo you know it’s damn good.
Can I give 1000⭐️, this story was perfection, the perfect ending for Jax and Haley and perfect Segway for more to come. In normal life the lead up to marriage can always throw hurdles our way, it’s hectic, it’s challenging and it’s fun. This is exactly the same for Jax and Haley, just because you’re made of money doesn’t mean drama won’t follow, and it does, a little light hearted here, and he’ll moments there, no one can take them on like these two.
It had taken years but it’s finally time for Jax Jamieson to win over Haley Telfer once and for all. Everything has been planned and organised but guaranteed everything won’t go to plan, their happy ever after won’t come without LOL moments, humiliations, embarrassments, anger and secrets, but rest assured the unit that is Jax and Haley take it head on.
If you haven’t read the Wicked series WHY? Do yourself a favour start at the beginning, you’ll won’t regret it, then dunk into some sexy tunes, sexy stories and characters you’ll hold dear. Jax and Haley are up with my favourite book characters, and Piper is a fabulous author, bringing everything to life… From his cocky looks, his curse words and his music, Jax will dig into your soul… PERFECTION! ♥️
