The Clock

Rate this book
Do clocks exist simply to tell the time? Not this one!
Nick Turnbull becomes the owner of a stately grandfather clock with an intriguing history. On its journey from rural England to the deserts of South West Africa, the clock is a witness to shipwreck, unrequited love, cruel ambition, murder, despair, and even an orgy for four.

Truly engaging.

Read it in a day, fast moving with lovely historical references. If only clocks could talk, this clock would have told it's amazing cross-continental story. The author paints a vivid picture that puts the reader in a place and time with limitless ease.
