I’m pumped for a Kieron Gillen led Marvel event. I get why people aren’t on board with this series, but I feel like he can make this work.

Way more of the Eternals than of the X-Men. And this version of the Eternals is clearly inspired by the movie. While I did read the Neil Gaiman run of Eternals from around 2006, I have otherwise largely ignored them. I am aware that they have had more recent series, and their origin story has been retconned to more closely align with the MCU film.

... Yay. We all know how much I love it when the comics are retconned to accommodate films and TV shows. Just my favorite thing.

Sersi is basically a different character than she was in the 90s. As far as styling goes, she looks much worse here in purple and with unrealistically penciled eyebrows. She also isn't exactly bursting with power anymore.

This AXE event is something we're all just going to have to endure. We put up with Marvel investing nearly ten years into Inhumans, and now they've decided to make Eternals their next major property to shove down our throats.

Eve of Judgement or Eve of Destruction

This was a set up/prelude to the Marvel Event Judgement Day--
The art was really good by Pasqual Ferry but honestly the story didn't really tell us much that we didn't already know. For the most part it just introduced us to the principle players for the event. Rather like watching some one set the stage for a play. Maybe necessary but not really very entertaining.

This was not a very exciting lead up to an event that I am excited for. The story was dense and slow. There also wasn't much of the xmen in this one. Hoping the event is mire exciting.

Meh

I hope the main story is better than this. If next issue is just as bad, I will skip this story and save a ton of cash.

Feel like I’m missing a lot but it’s not a bad start to an event. Like the narrative by earth though.

excellent beginning

The whole series is good. They did a great job of creating a story and putting it into a comic. Well Done
