I didn’t see her coming. Not until it was too late. My life was good, and I had it all. My son means the world to me, and he has a good relationship with his mom. What I didn’t need was the collision course of what crashes into me. She’s been around the club. I know how she is and what she tastes like. What I don’t know is why she’s fighting me? I’ll find the truth and make her face her demons by first facing me.
This book was fast paced and kept me hooked I loved it and the drama I don't think we've seen the last if the problems faced in this book. I'm hoping they get to put Case in the ground for what he did to eveleigh ithink this series is awesome
I’ve been a big fan of the series so far and so I was really looking toward to reading the newest instalment however although it was a good read and enjoyable I did find it a little bit lack lustre in places which is a shame.
There are a few editing mistake in the book, a couple of missed words, the use of her instead of him, an extra s where it’s not needed etc.
The Satans Keepers are a super protective biker club and this book is about one of their members Daemon and his old lady Everleigh. Everleighs parents are in a cult and due to her upbringing Everleigh is cautious of getting involved with anyone however Daemon loves her and wants to make it work. I love the pairing of these two but felt like the details of Ev’s past were skimmed over when much more detail and substance would have been great. I also found there wasn’t really very much relationship between Daemon and Everleigh unless there was sex involved, so yeah I love hot biker sex as much as the next reader but I want more than just that.
3.75stars—FACING DAEMON is the fifth instalment in EC Land’s contemporary, adult SATAN’S KEEPERS erotic, MC romance series. This is club members Hendrick ‘Daemon’ Masons, and OB/Gyn nurse Everleigh’s story line. FACING DAEMON can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion as their is an ongoing plot line throughout.
WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Daemon and Everleigh) FACING DAEMON follows in the wake of threats against our story line heroine. Everleigh has a past Daemon knows nothing about and that past has caught up with our story line heroine. On the run to protect the people she loves, Everleigh walked away from Hendrick Masons only to come face to face when he made her an offer she could not refuse, an offer that will hopefully protect Everleigh from the past she is unable to outrun. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship between Everleigh and Daemon, and the potential fall-out as the past demands Everleigh’s return, a return that will see Everleigh facing down the real demons that have destroyed her life.
Hendrick ‘Daemon’ Masons has yet to claim Everleigh as his own. Everleigh is hiding a past that is controlling her life, and in this, Daemon is determined to uncover the truth before it destroys the woman he loves. With the help of his fellow Satan’s Keepers brothers, Daemon goes on the offensive, protecting Everleigh from the past.
The relationship between Everleigh and Daemon has already been established but Everleigh refuses to get too close. Daemon already has a family, a son by a previous relationship, and Everleigh refuse to cross a line between father and son. With Daemon’s love, Everleigh is hoping to overcome the past but the past refuses to let go, revealing a more sinister secret than anyone could have ever imagined. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including several members os the Satan’s Keepers MC, their wives and ole’ ladies, as well as people threatening our story line heroine.
FACING DAEMON is a story family and betrayal, relationships and friendships, desperation, power and control, acceptance and love. The premise is interesting, intriguing and entertaining; the romance is provocative; the characters are desperate, determined and broken.
Back to the Satan's Keeper MC we go. Facing Daemon was slightly shorter than some of the others and it flows along really well with the rest of the series. I read books 3 and 4 right before this one and I found it really enjoyable to get stuck into this series this way. Honestly, I would have kept reading if there was more.
These may be short novellas but they are packed with action and if you love MC then these are a great reads because you get everything you love about MC romance in these great little packages.
I do admit that when I have a gap between these books I get a little lost with the characters and almost need a recap. So, I will come back and check out my reviews or someone else's to get me back up to speed.
With Daemon and Everlieght (another of Ivy's friends) we get to find out her story and it leads to more of the overarching bad guys too.
There hasn't been a lot of Daemon to date that went deeper than just a mention and some conversation but I really enjoyed his story and I can't wait for more. . . . Everleigh is very happy for her friends they have all found happiness with members of the club and are making families. It is something she dreams about it but knows will never happen for her. She has lived a life very different from the others and her parents made it clear to her at 16 her life would never be hers. When they finally make that call she knows she can never go back and instead decides to run, leaving all her friends behind. Worst of all she's leaving Daemon, if her life was different he is just the man she could have loved.
Daemon has wanted Everleight from their first night together and no matter how much she says it shouldn't happen she continued to come back from more. He would claim her in front of all of his brothers if she would let him. Once he learns she's left and all the reasons why he knows exactly what he's going to do when he gets her back. "We can and we will sugar. I won't lose you because of them. So, buckle in baby, and prepare for the ride of your life 'cause I'm lockin' you down, and we're doing this once and for all."
When Daemon comes for Everleigh she's both happy and terrified. She wants him like nobody else but she also knows what her family is capable of. Daemon isn't going to let anything take Everleigh from him though. They can come at him all they want but with his brothers by his side no one will hurt Everliegh again. 'He presses his forehead to mine and simply holds me. The next thing out of his mouth shocks me and scares me at the same time. "I'm not letting you get away from me again, Eveleigh. You're fuckin' mine and I'm making damn sure no one can take you away."
Facing Daemon by E.C. Land is the 5th book in her Satan's Keepers MC series. And let me tell you it was a real page turner. The twists and turns it had especially towards the end had me sucked in. We've met Everleigh and Daemon in the books before it. Everleigh was one of the BFFs, as I like to call them, of the clubs Ol'ladies. Daemon we fell in love with because of his son Hendrik. What we didn't know was that Everleigh and Daemon had a friends with benefits going on until Stella had her baby. Everleigh left the hospital that night and ghosted everyone. In this book we find out why and man is it heart wrenching. E.C. Land has this way of tapping into her characters pain so that you feel like it's your own and can sympathize with the character. Everleigh was raised in a religious cult that the club has dealt with before and the only way she got out was to go to college and work. Well she's done that and now they come calling cause they want her home. Instead of asking the club for help she decides to make a run for it. Daemon will not let that happen. He tracks her down and makes her spill her secrets. He handles it perfectly alpha like but with love and understanding. He brings her back and he and the club are going to help her with what is making her run. The lengths her parents go to, to get her back is unbelievable. Since she won't go on her own they take something that means more to her than anything and of course she has to go. She's smart enough to at least leave Daemon a note so he can find her. That's where the twists really start. She finds out half her life has been a lie. She suffered and grieved past events that never even happened. I'm trying not to give away any spoilers and it's so hard. All I will say is that Daemon comes to her rescue and protects her like he's done from the start. The book is left on a cliffhanger so you'll have to read the next book which is Scythe and Josephine's book. Which I can't wait for. Something tells me it's going to be a good one. Overall I loved this book and that's why I gave it 5 stars. Usually I would only give 4 because there were some writing errors but the story especially the end of it was too good to dim it down a star. If you want to understand the back stories of the characters in the book then I suggest starting with the 1st book in the series if you haven't read any. If you don't care about the back stories then this can be read as a stand alone.
Facing Daemon (Satan's Keepers MC Book 5) by E.C. Land will captivate you from the first chapter that is full of club drama, danger, violence, steamy moments and love of family. This is an intense fast paced emotional heartfelt story surrounding Daemon and Everleigh who have been seeing each other but circumstances always stops them from moving forward as Everleigh is unable to commit to Daemon due to her past. Daemon wants Everleigh in his life but he can tell she is holding back. Will he be able to break down her barriers as he knows she loves him or will it be too late ? Not even her close friends who are ol'ladies of the club know the pain she has endured. Everleigh grew up in a cult full of terror and abuse led by her Uncle, Father and Mother. After she disgraced her family when she was sixteen she was punished and virtually held a prisoner until she begs her Uncle to allow her to go to College when he agrees she was told she would need to return when the time was right. Now time is running out for her when she is summoned by her mother as a marriage has been arranged she is threatened along with her friends and club if she refuses. To avoid a marriage she packs up all of her belongings and goes off the radar leaving Daemon and her friends behind thinking she is saving them. When Daemon and the others learn what she has done he is angry as he vows to bring her back where she belongs in his arms, in his bed. Once Daemon finds her their reunion is heartfelt, intense and full of passion as they declare their love for each other as he tells her he knows what she was hiding from him. Together they will go up against this religious cult and her parents when he puts a plan into motion to secure her to him as he proves to her that no one will take her from him.
So many twists and turns in this story full of lies, betrayals, secrets and loss especially when a ghost comes back from the past which will place Everleigh in harms way. Once Daemon and his brothers end the threat to Everleigh they discover members of the cult have escaped. As Daemon and Everleigh plan their future together, the fear of what is coming will overshadow their happiness. What will this mean for the future of the Satan's Keepers MC? Can't wait for the next story in this outstanding series by E.C. Land.
Okay Everleigh in the beginning annoyed me. I get why she ran away, especially after everything everyone has been through, but that’s more of a reason for her to turn to her friends/newfound family. I’m just glad that in the end, she left a note for Hendrick with the address, that was smart. I do wish she would be able to have a relationship with Everett, but I understand them not telling him until he’s older, or at least not for now. I can’t imagine what she went through or what her awful parents did.
Okay so the series is getting so good. It seems as if it’s one thing after another for these women and the MC. And it’s all tied to the Scarlett Needle. I did not see a crazy religious cult plot twist- or the fact that “Case”, the man who fathered Everett with Everleigh when they were 16, wasn’t actually dead AND was in on the whole thing!? How much more insane can this plot get?! Let’s see how strong Josephine is in the next story. She’s a marines sister, and hopefully she doesn’t take sh*t from no one. Everleigh says she’s the best shot of their friend group, and I really hope that comes into play. I’m giving this book 4.5 stars, and that’s because the s*x scenes are just kind of redundant at this point. They’re spicy, but also predictable. After they have s*x the first few times, you can basically skip each time after as they’re basically the same from then on. Anyways, it’s getting deep folks, and I hope you’ve got your waders on!
I say this about every book that I read from EC and but I loved revisiting the Satan’s Keepers MC and spending time with all the members and their women. This was Daemon and Everleigh’s book and what a read it was. Everleigh’s life has not been very easy thanks to her parents and cruel uncle and although Daemon doesn’t know the extent of the trauma she has had to deal with he is very in tune to her and knows that she had a very difficult time. He is very patient and loving and although he wants nothing more than to protect Everleigh at times she makes this very difficult for him because she wants to protect him and the club from her past. Alas, we know it won’t be a easy ride but the Satan’s Keepers will do everything to protect one of their own. An emotional read that will truly pull at your heartstrings but in the end their journey to each other was well worth the upheaval they had to endure. A great series that I highly recommend.
I received an arc copy via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
Everleigh has been in the the Satan’s books since Keeping Reaper, she is friends with all the ol’ ladies. She has been with Daemon and they have been keeping it a secret but she knows it can go no further no matter how much she wants it to. When her past rears it’s ugly head, she does the only thing she can think of and that is run. She doesn’t want to bring her problems to her friends or the club, especially after what Happened with Juniper. She will deal with her problems on her own. When Daemon finds out, he isn’t letting her go and when he finds out why, he has to get her to trust him to protect her and keep her safe. He has to prove to her that he isn’t going to let anything bad happen to her ever again. This club is a family and they protect each other and they will walk through hell together and come out on the other other side. There are some twists that had my jaw drop and E.C. took me on a ride with feels, so buckle up and get ready.
Facing Daemon is the next story in the Satan's Keepers MC series. It is Everleigh and Daemon's tale.
Everleigh grew up in a religious community where her mother, father and uncle were in charged, at the age of sixteen they had gave a way her baby and kept close eyes on her. Able to convince them to let her go to college, Everleigh saw it was her way to finally escape.
Daemon had grown close to Everleigh, and wanted her to be his Old Lady, but she kept turning him down. When she left, he knew that she was the only one for and was determined to get her back.
This is a story that takes you on a wild ride with parents that would have you running for the hills, friend that are your ride or die and a man that would fight the world for you. Everleigh's heartbreak wrapped around my heart, but the love that is in each line of the pages pulls you in.

Everleigh has been in several of the previous Satan's Keepers MC books and finally her back story is revealed. Life hasn't been good for Everleigh but the last few years she has found friends within the Satan's Keepers. She knows it will all come to an end one day, so she tries to keep them at arm's length, but the club won't let her. Daemon, an alpha in every sense, will have none of it especially when she tries to run. He brings her home and makes her his. Thankfully, they get their HEA but not before Everleigh has revealed her dark past and the part it plays in their future. You will definitely need a box of tissues but will understand how Everleigh has been shaped by past tragedies and how Daemon gives her closure as well as a safe place she can finally call home.

This is the fifth book in this incredible series, and this is Daemon and Everleigh’s journey. Daemon is a member of and MC, and he has a son from a previous relationship, while Everleigh is an OB / Gyn nurse, who is running from her past. Daemon is determined to uncover the truth about Everleigh’s demons, and to protect and keep her safe by any means necessary. This is a well written fast paced story, which is a dark, raw, gritty, and action-packed tale, with chemistry, secrets, trust, danger, suspense, intrigue, twists, emotions, loyalty, family, friendships, betrayal, romance, violence, drama, and love, which leads to a riveting and addictive page turner. Be aware there may be triggers for some readers due to the sensitive content! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I've been intrigued by Daemon since we got a sneak peek of him in Tyres's book (Inferno's Clutch MC). Daemon is the perfect combination of intense alpha and devoted sweetheart. His love for Everleigh knows no bounds and he will fight anyone to keep her safe and next to him.
Everleigh has a dark, heartbreaking background and because of it she keeps everyone at arm's length, including Daemon. When her past comes calling Everleigh runs. But Daemon quickly catches up to her and shows her what it means to be his. Daemon was so in tune with Everleigh - he could read her like an open book and I love that he never bulldozed her, but instead was everything she needed.
Facing Daemon was an emotional ride but through it all Daemon never stopped showing Everleigh that they belonged together.
Everleigh hasn't had it easy being a teen mom in a cult that has her baby ripped from her arms after birth and the father who was helping her escape she never hears from again and assumes is dead. She is bound by the rules her mother and father aswell as her uncle set just so that she can have some part of a normal life and she does with her friends aswell as Daemon yet no matter how much she wants for that normal life to continue she can't. Daemon having a son with his best friend just wants what his brothers have and no matter how many times he asks he gets knocked back but he is determined to get it when Everleigh does a runner. Great twists and turns and glad for the happy ending for Everleigh.
A must read book that will take you on an amazing ride. In what can be considered a monotonous world of romance, E. C. Land brings a fresh, gripping, up intense and at times heartwrenching perspective that is reinvigorating and exhilarating.
I wholeheartedly recommend this book to everyone! If you're looking for an easy to follow, hot, steamy, sexy, smooth flowing read that captures your attention from the start. Congratulations my friends you've found it. The characters and scenes are realistic and believable. Twists and turns and unpredictable surprises that kept my eyes on the pages and on the edge of my seat.

Everleigh is friends with all the old ladies in the MC and has been with Daemon but in secret without anyone knowing with her keeping it from going any further. But as always when in a MC your past or present rear their ugly head. Everleigh makes the choice that she is going to run. Because she has seen how the past secrets old ladies have had have made the club suffer and she will not thrust her problems onto the club when she doesn't believe she is really one of them. Of course everyone finds out and Dameon is not going to let that happen on his watch and is he is going to find her and bring her home to him. Where she will learn that she is his and nothing is going to get her if he has anything to say about it.
What an exciting story! Daemon's and Everleigh's beginning relationship is fraught with danger and threat. Everleigh's family is part of a religious cult lead by her psychotic uncle and parents. She is given special leave to go to college, get a job and live on her own. As long as she returns to marry the man of her parents choosing whenever they decide the time is right. Daemon comes up with a plan to stop them by marrying his woman first. There is spice, angst and sorrow in this story. And you will need to read the next book in the series.to reach the resolution. In fact, it is best if you start with book one of the series to.get the complete story.
Daemon and Everleigh give you a story that will keep you on your toes wanting more. With her past coming for her, she takes off, and Deamon is all set to find her. When he finally finds her, he tells her his plan and makes it happen. When Daemon's BFF and the mother of his passes away, he has to come to terms with it. After weeks pass and they find out some good news, and she tells him him about finding part of her past, she get a message and everything can come to an end or will it part of it work out. Read and find out. An amazing addition to this series that gives you action, twists, turns, emotions, and more you will want more. Can't wait to read what happens next.
Why can't they ever finish stuff?! My goodness, just finish one, please! I mean I think I see how it's all gonna end, but I think all the women won't know how to live stress free. I would have given a 4 but there were a few typos. I would still recommend. It's more like Book 4. Gives you more information instead of just the highlights. I'm sure if you've come this far you know the gist of how this book will be. If you want to start the series there are a few things you need to know. One, it's insta-love. Two, they're short with not a whole lot of backstory till book 3 or 4. Three, they have heavy topics, so take the trigger warnings seriously. Last, a lot of the bad people get away. Not sure where or how this all is gonna end but I'm here for it. On to the next!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This is my own opinion and was not influenced by anyone.
In Facing Daemon, we finally get Everleigh's story. We learn how and what happened to shape her into who she is today. When Everleigh is in danger and flees, it is Daemon who goes after her. He finally gets his answers.
The two blend well together and seem well matched. There are twists throughout but there is one big one. I did not see it coming. It is a pretty quick read and I was turning the pages to see where the story was going. The story ends happily sort of...but it sets the stage for more problems.
Everleigh grew up in a cult where her parents were one of the ones in charge so when she gets pregnant at sixteen they taker her baby boy immediately and give him to someone else. She finally breaks free from her family and goes to college and becomes a nurse while becoming friends with the ol ladies from Satans Keepers MC and also spending time in the bed with Daemon. He wants her to be his ol lady but she knows her family is still out there and will someday track her down and they do. Great suspense and danger in this hot romance that will keep you reading.

Everleigh has been pushing Daemon away when they start to get close and he tells her he wants to make her his old lady. Everleigh has secrets about where she comes from. She is afraid of bringing more danger to the Satan's Keepers, as they have become family. When her past comes calling, she makes an escape without telling anyone where she is going.
When Daemon finds out what she has done and what she is hiding, he is determined to track her down and bring her back.
Daemon is just the right fit for Everleigh after what had happened to her when she was younger.

Have mercy this is the fifth book in the series. I now have a new fave of the series! Each book continues to blow my mind. E.C. certainly knows how to capture your undivided attention and keep it with each book. The characters are so real and pulls emotions from you as you read. This is Daemon & Everleigh's story. Their journey is not an easy one. Can they have a HEA? Will the past come back and win? This book is twisted. It has plenty of drama, danger, secrets, chemistry and more. It is has twists that will have your haw hitting the floor. Never a dull moment. It is a must read for me. I loved it! Check it out and see what you think. It was a fantastic way to enjoy the evening .
Everleigh was raised by parents and an uncle who belonged to and ran a cult, but she escaped...and met Daemon and the brothers of the Satan's Keepers MC...she was friends with several of the Ol' Ladies and she and Daemon were lovers, but upon hearing that she was found and being picked up by her parents to marry a man from the community, she ran again...but Daemon wasn't about to let her go...but can she finally escape for good??? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved the character, Daemon, what he felt towards his son and the friendship that existed with the mother of his child. I also liked how he was with Everleigh and giving her time before becoming all in for their relationship. Everleigh was more complex and her decisions were questionable. After being raised in a cult where women serve only one purpose, she is given the option to live away from her family knowing she could be called back at any time. I couldn't understand her motivation and the choices she made. It was a good story, but rates 3.5 stars.
Good story. Everleigh’s past comes back and it is time for her to fight back. She has pushed Daemon away to keep him and the club out of her problems but he isn’t having no it any more.
I always like E.C. land’s books which is why I give them a four star review. I know I will return to the story again when the mood strikes me. I realize her books have the same basic theme and wouldn’t mind seeing a FMC who had normal problems or was the one who supported and helped the MMC with whatever his problem maybe.
Daemon and Everleigh’s story was a fast-paced MC book that made it a one sit read for me. I loved the cult aspect to this book along with the brotherhood of Satan’s Keepers MC and the women these men loved. They were all family looking out for one another and with Everleigh’s crazy cult family she really needed their help. The backstory on Everleigh was sad but I loved the way that Daemon stepped up to help her.
With the notorious Scarlet Needles still on the loose things will only get more interesting as this series continues. I can’t wait to get my hands on the upcoming books.
EC. Land has packed a lot of story for Hendrick Masons, known as Daemon, and Everleigh. She is hiding from her past, and when she comes face to face with it, she runs to keep the club safe and out of it. That doesn't work for Daemon, as he tracks her down and brings her back vowing to make things right for her. Their story has all the feels that we come to expect from E.C. Land, making this another page turning winner. **I was gifted "Facing Daemon" via Booksprout, leaving my review based on my reading.** 4.5 Stars
Great book. Daemon and Everleigh are just cooling around as men and women do. Unfortunately, when Everleigh runs Daemon is done with playing cat and mouse with her. He is going to lock her down. But first he has to find her and bring her home. When he finds her, she is mad that he found her. She thought she was so careful. Her parents and uncle.come looking for her and they do catch up to her. For them, they don't think she will fight back against them, but that is where they are wrong.
Oh my God my heart went out to Everleigh and all she has been through. She is one tough woman and I see why she is a perfect match for Daemon. The trauma does not stop she has an evil family that will stop at nothing g to bring her back I to the folds. Daemon will do all he can to prevent that from happening and keep her safe. This is a fast paced romance with loads of drama and suspense. You will not be able to put it down.
