Priscilla loves to explore the mysteries of consciousness and the unseen spiritual world, inspired by her Irish father’s Druidic practices and mother’s Native American traditions. After inheriting the Cannady Ranch in Sister’s, Oregon, she must decide whether to keep it and commute to her job as a Professor of Psychology or sell. The appaloosa he left her and a local Stetson-wearing deputy, who happens to be single, just might sway her toward keeping it.
Her spiritual gifts are tested when she discovers she and two others are the reincarnated souls of fourth-century Spanish Bishops. As her memory of past lives unfolds, she learns the three were executed for heresy and had vowed to seek revenge on the usurper, Judge Evodius, who sentenced them to death. When he reawakens and possesses the body of a pious priest bent on ushering in the second coming of a messiah, he selects his next human sacrifice. How can Priscilla stop him from killing again?

I actually read a printed copy of this book. Priscilla is the story of Priscilla as she navigates big changes in her life, some of which are supernatural. The story starts out in 350 AD Spain when Priscilla is known as Priscilliano, a male spiritual leader of great power. We are introduced to two others important to him in this body. Some interesting stuff happens, then we skip to present-day Sisters, Oregon where Priscilliano has been reincarnated as Priscilla, a psychology professor at U of O. Things get hairy as Priscilla and her reincarnated friends try to take down the reincarnated soul of evil. This book was a little different from the typical novels I read (romance) but it had a lot of elements I enjoy, including a little romance. The story was beautifully written in terms of descriptive language, and the pacing held my attention. I would recommend it to anyone who likes historical settings, paranormal elements, or a little romance in their fiction.
