At times turgid and impenetrable, at times hilarious, at times perceptive and enlightening.
Particularly of interest are the sections on christological questions, being a capable description of medieval non-Chalcedonian theology.

Very good book, I would admit it took me some time to read since it was difficult to understand but overall it was worth it. I would recommend you have prior knowledge of theology before reading the book (since I had to do research along the way) but overall it answered a lot of my questions.
