If one male remained alive in the universe, and that male was Lord Ledos, I’d let both of our species die out. He looks like a rock star, swaggers like the galaxy’s greatest gift swings between his leather-clad legs. He’s a force of nature. I’m a wallflower. We couldn’t be more opposite. It would be so much easier to ignore him if my body didn’t light up like a display screen every time he was near.
When I’m forced to live on his ship because some marks on his chest mean I’m his mate, I’m furious. I’m not cut out to be anyone’s mate, especially his.
Ledos
I am Ledos, wielder of the longbow and lord of my Sola, my living ship and symbiont. My brothers consider me a waste, and yes, I have been known for indulging in pleasures of every kind. But that was before an enemy attack caused my ship to become separated from the others. Before I rescued one of my brothers and his Sola from certain death, and with him, the human females under his protection. Before I met her.
The instant I meet Rayna Lee, my body burns with the mating marks. The little human is mine. My true mate. My love. And for some reason, she detests me.
When an accident causes us to be stranded on the planet’s surface and forced to survive on our own, Rayna accepts me as her mate, but being away from my symbiont ship for so long is slowly killing me. I can survive anything the enemy Brakken throws at me, but I cannot survive losing her.
Note: This is book four in the Lords of Destra series. My books don’t end in cliffhangers and there is always a happily ever after and consent. Enjoy!
The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 💙❤️💚💜 Steam: 🔥🔥🔥 Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙 World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌍 Character development: 😊😘😟🥰 Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙 Narration Type: Dual Narration
The heroine:Rayna - she was on a research mission in space on a starship that happened to have an incompetent crew who got them into trouble and crashed the ship. She and all the other women on board the ship had to eject in escape pods and land on the nearest planet which happens to be a desolate world which is occupied by warring aliens, the Destra and the Brakken. Rayna had been abducted by the Brakken and held hostage in one of their vehicles. Their filth covered the floor of the vehicles where they kept her. She suffered greatly while held by the Brakken and sometimes wonders if getting saved was a good thing.
The Hero:Ledos - He is a Lord of Destra, which means he and his living ship (Sola) are symbionts. He was chosen to be a Lord by his Sola and from that point on he is bonded with his ship and together they are in charge of the welfare of all his people that live on the ship. When they landed on the planet, his ship was stranded far from the other Sola’s, and they have found one of the other seven Sola’s, but need to find the rest before they can move on to a planet that can sustain life.
The Story: The Sola’s, while not in space, have stalks that reach out from below the living ship and attach to fertile ground. They create a substance called Lami which sustains the Destran people and also heals them when they are injured. Though the Brakken want the Lami as a drug. They are a primitive race, though they are powerful, and they have landed on the planet and are searching for the Destrans and their Sola’s.
Rayna was rescued from the Brakken and is now aboard one of the two Sola’s that had found each other. She is learning the Destran language and learning to live again after her ordeal. The two Sola’s were connected, and the Lord of the second Sola was Ledos. Rayna was afraid of everything but couldn’t quite keep her eyes off Ledos when he was around. Though she really sees him as a player, and she isn’t ready for any romantic involvement.
I liked this story. I liked that Ledos was a ladies' man and that he was so interested in Rayna and knew immediately she was his mate, but knows she isn’t fond of him. He has to figure out how to win her over. I also liked that the Sola’s were connected, and Rayna had her friend Jetta to talk to and Ledos has Savair who is also a Lord, to go to for advice. Savair is actually pretty good at giving advice about romancing a human female.
I also felt pretty bad for Rayna at the start of this book, in Jetta and Savair’s book, Jetta described the conditions Rayna was held in. Apparently, the vehicles the Brakken used were disgusting. They stayed in the vehicles for months, and the floors were covered in their feces and urine. Rayna was kept on the floor in all that. Now whenever she has a spare moment, she showers or bathes and scrubs herself raw. I can totally understand that.
This audiobook was done in dual points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Tor Thom and Elle Sonali. They also did the last book which I listened to earlier this week. Both do a fantastic job and have perfect voices for these characters. I love Tor Thom for these large and powerful aliens as he has a super deep voice which almost sounds otherworldly.
This is the story of Rayna the geologist who was first introduced in the first book (Jetta’s story), and Ledos of the purple party ship. Don’t judge, he’s a great guy.
Of course they are taken away from safety, on an adventure. Party boy is exceedingly sweet. Very puppy dog-esque. She is suffering from PTSD but I like the way it’s handled. She does a great job considering everything she’s been through.
I was a little concerned that this series was leaning pacifistic. As the heroine says “There was no good spin on it.” But - but! - the story stays true to the conditions on the ground. They both use their skills appropriately and there is no preaching. Love that.
These books started out super great and seem to be getting better. And the series arch is just so well done. Sometimes you can forget earlier couples, but here they all fit and are recognizable. I hope that continues.
I really like Ledos. Everyone, including his "brother" Destran Lords viewed him as a sort of interstellar Nero, minus the tyranny. In reality, his Sola was one of art and music and living their lives enjoying color and occasionally, each other. I mean, come on. He's a good looking man. Eventually he's going to have had sex with someone. He's a leader, not a eunuch. When he meets Rayna, his mating marks immediately bloom. As in instantaneously. But Ledos is a good man, and he kept them hidden and told no one because he didn't want to scare her.
Rayna was a little harder for me to like. I understand she's dealing with PTSD from her time being imprisoned in truly horrific conditions, and I understand why she acts the way she does, but it hurt Ledos (and kind of pissed me off) that she was so dismissive of him at the start. You can be wary or dislike someone and not be ugly to them. That's called being an adult. I didn't much buy into Rayna going from "don't touch me" to the female version of a Ho. It happened a little too quickly and without the workup to get there.
Still, excepting Rayna, this was a good entry in the Destran Lords series. Now we have the survivors and Destrans looking for their other people and I suspect we're about to have a big reveal with the Brakken and who has been supplying them with weapons.
I'm really looking forward to the next two Lords and their stories.
I am happy to have found this series again. Transported back to the two Solas (ships) that had saved each other from the Braken. So in this book four, Ledos is trying to figure out why his mating marks showed up without touching. Also his Rayna, who doesn’t know yet about being mates, does not particularly like Ledos. He is ultra confident and I believe that most people mis-read Ledos. Rayna on the other hand is struggling to move forward after being a captive of the Braken. They kept her in a disgusting place. There is a happy ending and a bit of angst. Read On!
This author hit the target dead center. The first book took some time getting acquainted with the setting, but once it was established, the rest was history. Unlike other alien love stories, this doesn’t take place on Earth, the Earthlings weren’t kidnapped for some financial interest, nor was there some human bride scheme. Nope. This was a simple fiction taking place in the distant future where space travel is common.
A group of human females traveled through the galaxy on a space mission to map out another planet. During transit, their spacecraft hits something, and the passengers are forced to flee in the escape pods. The pods land on the nearest planet, where there’s a group of aliens who also got stranded on the same planet from a crash. And here’s where the plot got confusing, at first.
So these Aliens come from a planet where they all live in a spacecraft, big enough to house thousands of Destrans. Here’s the kicker though: these “spacecrafts” are actually ALIVE and are sentient beings. When their planet became overpopulated, the Sola (name for the sentient ship) had 7 babies. Those baby ships (aka Solas) chose Destran Warriors (deemed captains of sorts) to “connect to” and gave them the title of “Lord.” These Lords had the memories of their past lives erased, to where all that remained was the relationship between Lord and Sola. Hundreds of Destrans chose to leave their overpopulated planet with these 7 Solas and their Lords to find a new planet to settle on and grow. These Solas provide for its inhabitants, including food and healthcare, but it must set down roots to grow first. The substance the Solas produces is heavily sought after, so of course, the Destrans have enemies. Those said enemies attacked the traveling Solas and they crashed landed on the same planet as the 7 human women.
Are you still following me so far? Because that’s a big narrative to wrap one’s head around.
7 Lords. 7 human women. All stranded on a planet together. One by one, the Lords save the human women before saving their Solas and hunt for their brother Lords and sister Solas. Only when they are together again can they leave the dangerous planet.
My biggest pet peeve when an author refers to “coitus” is when they substitute it with the generic “sex.” For example: “He lifted me up to where his head pressed against my sex, then plunged into me with one swift thrust.” There are SO MANY WORDS a writer can use aside from “sex,” so I view the usage as incredibly lazy. Aside from that aggravation, these books are very well written. Full of adventure and love, this has quickly become one of my favorite series. I can’t wait for the next book to be released. Heavily recommended if you are into alien love stories.

Not my favorite but not my least favorite of the series so far, middle of the road for me.
Ledos is a very interesting character and was fun to get to know. I especially adore the interactions he has with the other Destran Lords. He doesn’t have their series nature and that’s a good thing, he balances them all out I think.
Rayna’s part in this was overcoming her trauma which occurred in the first book. I can’t even imagine how horrible things were for her, and getting a peek into the aftermath was heartbreaking. She’s a very strong woman though and and is able to regain that strength with time and patience.
The relationship between the two of them starts off rocky, Rayna can’t stand Ledos, but it develops so beautifully into something that benefits them both. They balance each other nicely. While some may not understand Ledos’s actions, I do like how he handled things with Rayna. He was extremely sensitive to her feelings and comfort level while still trying his hardest to gain her trust and affections. She was in the front of his mind at all times, her needs came first.
I’m really looking forward to the next books in the series.
Craved by the Alien Lord is book 4 in the Lords of Destra series. This book is about 33 year old human, geologist, Raina, and Destran, Lord Letos of the purple Sola. His Sola is full of the artists and musical types and is very free spirited and colorful. So much so that it is natural for his people to go around topless or naked. Raina was saved from Bracken capture by fellow human Jetta and Jetta’s mate Savair toward the end of book 1. She was held captive in a transport vehicle where she was held in a container of their waste. This causes her to struggle with feeling clean even after she is rescued. She takes multiple baths per day and scrubs her skin raw at times in an effort to feel clean. Initially, Raina doesn’t want anything to do with Letos because she thinks he is hooks up with everyone, which to be fair, prior to Raina, that was what Letos did. But then Raina can’t deny her connection to him. This was a good addition to the series. I enjoyed it. I liked the adventure they had together. I struggled with the narration in this book though. The book is narrated in dual POV with a female and male narrator. The narrators did not speak prior to doing their portions and the book suffered for it. Each narrator pronounced various character names differently, most importantly was the main female character’s name. The female narrator’s voices pronounced Raina as Ray-na which I considered to be correct. The male narrator’s voices pronounced Raina as Rain-ya which was really annoying. I also struggled at times with the male main character’s voice and cadence but for the most part it was okay. I thought he did a great job with books 1-3, so hopefully this was just a one off. Overall, I enjoyed this book and give it 4 stars. I am looking forward to continuing the series.
Our series continues with Rayna and Ledos’s story.
Rayna was captured by the Brakken after her escape pod crashed on this uninhabited planet. Rescued by one of her fellow human scientists, and taken aboard a Destran solas, she is still coming to terms with what happened to her. It’s a surprise when she discovers that Ledos, the Lord of the Purple Solas, and one devoted to pleasures, is her fated mate…
Ledos is determined to help his struggling human female, and not rush her into something before she is ready. But when the two of them become separated from his Solas, they have to work together to survive.
The plot thickens… we’re back in the solas from the first book, because it was rescued by Ledos’s solas- which means we get to see some familiar faces from that book. However, it’s not long before the focus is totally on Rayna and Ledos, and the issues that they both have to deal with. While the Brakken aren’t silent in this story, it’s focus is primarily on the mental healing of Rayna, who is struggling to cope with the things she suffered at the hands of the Brakken. It’s a fast paced story, and a very quick read, with some interesting characters and a background story that is getting ever more interesting.
I was waiting for the story of these two, I knew they were mates and I was right. He has a lot of convincing and wooing to do. He does, and it was endearing. And she has some trauma to overcome.
There were funny moments in the story that I can't help but laugh. I loved the teasing between the Dextran Lords, I loved the surprised at the epilogue, and I loved that our MCs found their happiness. I am looking forward to more stories and the time when all the Destrans Lords and their mates and their solas are united.
This is book 4 of the Lords of Destra. And, so far, Ledos is my favorite Lord. He is so free and easy with wonderful humor but serious when required. Rayna is so insecure and damaged by all that she's been through in her life that she NEEDS some free and easy. I loved that Rayna was not healed immediately from her trauma. There is so much to love about an Ella Blake book. Her characters are rich. The world building is well done and the stories are engrossing. If it says Ella Blake I'm going to read it! Highly recommend this book and this series!
Okay let just say this was good. Ella Blake is blowing my socks off. Well since it summer time my flip flops off. Ledos surprises everyone especially his mate Rayna. So now that is four Destrain Lords. Four Solas. If you read Kael story in the beginning then that is actually five Destrain Lords even though they haven’t found him yet. So two more to go. I am so enjoying this series. My question now is who is the Brakkens working for hmm 🤔? Looking forward to book 5.
Ella Blake’s Craved by the Alien Lord is excellent. The chemistry in this book is off the charts! Love that Ledos (God’s gift to women), is rejected by his soulmate, Rayna, and has to work to gain her love. Favorite amusing line: “struts as if gold swings between his legs”!!! It’s simply a fantastic read!
I wasn't sure what to expect from Rayna and Ledos, since they were polar opposites and Rayna had been traumatized since her arrival on planet. I ended up enjoying the story more than I anticipated. They were well-suited and Ledos helped bring Rayna out of her shell. I also enjoyed the advancement of the overall storyarc in this book.
Kindle Unlimited Spice 🌶️🌶️ Opposites attract Trauma Reformed F* boy Dual POV Read in order I really liked this one, he’s a fun hedonistic one and he brings art and music to the group. She’s an introvert and traumatized by her captivity. They are complete opposites that bring out the best in each other.
Best one in the series so far. So many layers to Ledos and Rayna. Also the story is really picking up. waiting for the next installment. Im sure it will be action packed and another piece to the puzzle.
This is a story about an Earth female who suffered extreme PTSD. She was slowly getting better when her worst nightmare happened. Thankfully she had some redemption. Well worth reading.
So good I read it in one evening. When I purchased it I didn't read it right away. Why because I knew once I started I wouldn't be able to stop😁😁😁. Kudos to the author👏👏👏👏👏. This is a series you don't want to miss.
I liked this Hero, and while it's getting a little old how every Hero has a specific character trait that makes him unique, I did like how they all communicate with their Sola in ways that match their personalities.
Awesome story this time with tons of action, intense emotions, nasty bad things, exciting adventures and wonderful characters 😊. So far this series is totally worth reading 😃. Thanks again Ella, I can't wait to see what happens next 🤓.
I liked this book much better than the previous two even though it ended with a pregnancy. Rayna n Ledos' characters were much more rounded n believable n the story language a little more sensual n descriptive.
I went from totally not liking Ledos at first, to loving him. I can’t believe how many awful events she had to go through. I felt so bad for her. Great book and great lead ups to the next. Love this series.
This one not as good as the rest, it would of been better if they stopped mentioning Ledos was a whore. Then it just got creepy when it said he has slept with most of his people. The story was good though
Absolutely loved this one! It has adventure, steam and true mate love.. I wasn't sure I'd like Ledos, but he surprised me. He's a sweet, sensitive soul...
I was riveted from the first chapter til the end. Non stop reading until I finished every pay. Omg this was fabulous. Anxious for the next book. Well done.
Rayna is suffering from her time as a captive of the Brakken. Ledos knows she's his mate. So he's going slowly but of course nothing goes as planned. Enjoy
