A brand new brother's best friend romance from S.A. Clayton set in her new Harbour Cove series!
Max Winters has been in love with Addison Mitchell since he was sixteen. Being best friends with her brother made things a little more complicated and so he suppressed it, denying his feelings for over a decade.
Then she got pregnant.
Addison Mitchell never thought she would get pregnant by a man who loved football more than becoming a father. She always expected to end up with Max, her brother's best friend, and secret fantasy. So when the father texts her that he wants nothing to do with her or the baby, she has to come to terms with being a single mother.
That is until Max turns up, suitcase in hand demanding that he stay with her until the baby arrives. But the longer they are together, the harder it gets for their feelings to be denied and so they have to decide if what they feel is worth the risk of losing everything.
S.A. Clayton lives in a small town outside of Toronto, Canada with her husband and her scary large collection of books that seem to take over every room. She has worked on both sides of the publishing industry, both in a bookstore and for actual publishing companies. Although she loved both for different reasons, she found that writing was her true passion and has spent the last few years breaking into the industry as best she can. She is a lover of all things romance and began her writing journey in her late twenties. Since then, she has immersed herself in the romance genre and couldn't be happier. When she's not writing or reading, she enjoys binging a great Netflix show (Stranger Things anyone?), baking (because who doesn't love cookies!), and spending time with her family.
I waited until about a week and a half ago to sit down and just get lost in the Harbour Cove series by SA Clayton and I have to say, it was a pretty glorious binge-read experience! I knew from experience, since I’ve read all her words, that the individual stories would be just long enough for me to go from one to the other in a mere couple of days. I love being able to do that, especially if there’s even a small connection from one book to the next.
Hoping for Her (book 1): Drew & Katie packed a punch to the #feels and at the same time was endearing and heartwarming. 4 stars
Falling for Her (book2): Cash & Hannah also packed a punch for me, and I found their story inspiring and full of hope. A wonderful second chance to get it right journey full of emotion and friendship and love! 5 stars
Waiting for Her (book 3): Okay, I only thought I was enjoying this series because Max & Addison’s journey was so good that I thought my heart would burst from it all! They are definitely the couple to beat LOL There is nothing not to love about this story, from the friendship growth to the romance growth to every single circumstance! 5 stars
Staying for Her (book 4): A fake engagement and living together … bwahahahahaha! Obviously, I’ve read this trope a gazillion times, as you can see from my laughter, but every author has their own voice & style and Clayton put her own spin to it. Not gonna lie, I found a lot of the dramatics a bit over the top and they just kept pilling. When stories are this short, they can easily go off the arils fast and in my opinion, this story would have achieved the same result, a HEA, with so much drama. That’s my 2 cents lol 3 stars
Perfect for Her (book 5): Once again, heartwarming, and emotional, Mark & Harlow’s story touched my heart! I wasn’t a fan of the secondary characters behaviors from time to time, but not enough to make me #twitchy LOL Mark’s character surprised me the most (in a good way lol) because I’ve known him from previous books, and I just didn’t expect what I got but I’m also happy I got it! Confused lol? Read the series and you won’t be! 4 stars
I decided to just review all four stories in one review because there’s honestly not too much detail that can be given about the individual stories without giving away the plot and I wanted to showcase the series more than the individual books because this is a series I believe you should invest from the first book to the last. Technically, it could be said these are standalone stories, but I’m not going to say that. *shrug* That’s it folks. Go forth and binge :)
Addison doesn't know what to do with her brother's best friend's new focus on her. OK yes, she's pregnant and has been dumped by her the baby's father, but still, why is he suddenly so attentive to her?
Max, unbeknownst to Addison, has been in love with her for years. Now that she's in obvious need of some help, he's determined he'll be the one to help her. And perhaps get her on the same page as he is. Do these two have a chance of making a relationship work when she's pregnant by another man?
This is a very sweet brother's friend love story. Max is so swoon worthy as he goes about inserting himself into Addison's life, and staying there, being her rock, making her see that he'll be her everything and her baby's father no matter that he's not the biological father. We should all be so lucky to have a guy like him in our lives.
I just love how for a such a "small" book we get maximum impact.
I was really looking forward to seeing how Max and Addison will end up together. When she announced that she's pregnant with another man in the previous books my heart broke for him. He was biding his time and not was too late...or was it? I loved how he stepped up the minute opportunity presented itself. He knew this was his time and he was taking it.
Addison has so much going on. Being pregnant and left by the father of the baby, to having Max showing sudden interest is messing with her head. But with Max's help she can finally let her guard down and accept that he's here to stay and won't let anything get in the way of their long overdue HEA!
This series is getting better with each book. Addison is dealing with an unexpected pregnancy. She just a text from the baby daddy that he wants nothing to do with her and the baby. She lets everyone think things have been been going great for the past seven months. When she was at the party with her brother and friends, Max tells her she will never be alone and that he can move in and help take care of her. Max shows up at her house early the next day which totally shocked when she sees Max standing there with a duffle bag ready to move in like he said. To exhausted to argue she lets him in. Max helps her with thinks around the house and even going grocery shopping to get food in the house and in her stomach. Max finds out that even though she told everyone that things had been going great but actually its been horrible. Things start changing between them. Max finally lets her know that he is in this for the long haul and it doesn't matter the baby is not blood, he will love the baby like his own. He has loved Addison since College. He thought he kept his feelings to himself but everyone knew he loved her. So he does everything she needs. After they kissed and he pleased her it changed everything between them. He even asked her to marry him, or st least be in a steady relationzhip she however said not right now. One night after being together Addison felt a huge pain so when Max went to check her out he noticed that she had a large amount of blood. Scared he took her to the hospital. Once the arrived the doctors took her into have an emergency c section. While he waited her brother showed up with Mark his twin. The doctor came out to congratulate him on the birth of his child and to tell him that Addison was out of surgery but still needing to wake up. Max goes to see his child and stats in Addison's room. She wakes to see a sight that changed her mind about marrying Max. Seeing him holding the baby melted her heart. Once home Addison has a huge surprise for Max when he comes home. No baby and good news from the doctor. Before things get heated, Addison has one more thing. She has him read the paperwork that asks him to legally adopt the baby and one more thing to marry him. Of course he says yes to adopting the baby and thrilled to marry her. Then his brother calls and gives him news that Luke their friend is getting married. Shocked cause Luke swore he'd never get married. Now we need to wait to see what's gonna happen with Luke.

Harbour Cove is S.A. Clayton's latest series. It revolves around five friends searching for the one thing that has eluded them ... love. WAITING FOR HER is the story of Max Winters and Addison Mitchell, two people who have loved each other from afar, the timing never right to admit their feelings.
" ... in the back of my head, I knew that all I wanted was Max. It's always been Max."
Addison is seven months pregnant and alone, the father of her child has deserted her leaving her vulnerable and unsure of her future. Max sees Addison's new situation as his chance to finally be able to make his move and claim her. This is his opportunity to be with the woman he loves. Addison is wary of Max's intentions at first, she's determined not to be hurt by another man, and is ready to raise her child as a single mum. Addison is stunned when Max decides to move in with her and help her during the last months of her pregnancy.
"I wonder if she knows just how much she owns my heart ... She has no idea how wrapped around her finger I am."
I loved the way in which Max and Addison's new relationship evolved. From the moment Max moved in he began to show her just how much he cares and wants to be a part of her and her baby's lives. It's obvious how much they want and desire each other, however Max is so sweet when he decides to take things slowly, he doesn't want Addison to be confused about her emotions. However, when they do finally connect, it's sizzling, the heat between them burns HOT. But not everything is a bed of roses, especially when Addison is rushed to the hospital, two lives are on the line. Will Max and Addison get the HEA that they've both always dreamt of, or will it be taken away?
"This man is everything I wish for and more. This man is the definition of love and no one can tell me otherwise ..."
WAITING FOR HER was another sweet, sexy, fast-paced read from Siobhan. I adored Max and the way in which he showed his love and concern for Addison. I loved Addison she was such a strong woman who, even though her life had been turned upside down, was able to show her resilience without allowing her vulnerabilities coming through. A wonderful book to warm your heart on a cool afternoon.
Next up is Luke's story, Staying For Her. This is definitely going to be interesting, especially after the bombshell that Mark dropped to Max.
This is the third book in the series. They can be read as standalone books. But I do think they are better read in order. This is a best friend’s little sister/single mom book. The whole group knows that Max likes Drew’s little sister Addison. Addison loves him back but doesn’t think he likes her. Then she announces that she is pregnant. Turns out her boyfriend doesn’t want anything to do with her now. Max sees this as his opportunity and he isn’t going to waste it. He is going to help her and if she feels the same way even better. He will show her how he feels and help her. He wants Addison and the baby to be his. He already considers them his. Addison can’t believe she is in the situation she is in. Alone and pregnant. Then one morning Max is on her doorstep and promising to help her. Does he just want to help her because he feels sorry for her or could he really have feelings for her. Addison has a lot going on and she finds it hard to believe that Max really likes her. This book is a great short read. A bit emotional. I felt for Addison. Max and Addison have stuff to work through. Addison wonders why Max would want to raise another man’s baby. The characters in this series and wonderful. They have made friendships into family. There are always there for each other. I love this series more with each book I read. I can’t wait to read the next book. Wonderful job S.A. Clayton.
Waiting for Her is the third book in the Harbour Cove series. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone, but I think reading this series in order is best. The books are short, and I loved seeing each of the friends find their happy ever after. This was Max and Addison’s story, and I was really looking forward to it. The chemistry between these two has been intense throughout the series and they finally have their chance. Max had loved his best friend’s younger sister Addison for years but was too afraid of ruining his friendship to act on his feelings. Now Addison is pregnant and the baby’s father has dumped her, Max knows he must act if he wants the future he has always dreamed of. Addison has loved Max forever but thought they never had a future so when he moves in with her and takes over, she is confused. Can they finally overcome their fears and admit their feelings for each other? This was a sweet and emotional story that will leave you smiling. I have loved every book in the series, but this is my favorite. I really loved watching Max and Addison finally find their happy ever after. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Is wondered if Max and Addison would ever find their way to each other, and I won’t lie. It looked bleak until now. She’s unavailable in a huge way, or so it seems, and yet Max can’t help but want to be a part of it all. And when he finds out just how wrong everyone has been about her status, he’s quick to jump into the role he’s hoped to have for years. But is it enough? And can he and Addison have it all?
I was frustrated by Addison at times, but I also got her oh so well. She’s got hormones and misery and stress and worry and all sorts of stuff swirling around inside her body and mind, so it’s not hard to see why she would doubt Max’s intentions. Is he just a guy with a savior complex, or is he truly in love? Lucky for Addison, Max is excellent at the “show” part of show and tell and doesn’t ever leave her guessing for long. And these two also communicate along the way, which definitely helps. Even when things seem bleak, their love and the support of family and friends makes all the difference for their chances at forever.
So now I wait for Lucas’s story. It’s bound to be interesting, that’s for sure!
Max Winters has always loved his best friend’s sister, Addison Mitchell, from the time he first noticed girls. However, he didn’t say anything about how he felt because it would be awkward around her brother.
Addison had always thought she would be with Max, but nothing ever came of it. But when she ends up pregnant by her boyfriend, and he dumps her and all responsibility for his child, she is surprised when Max steps in to be there for her. Although neither had realized the other had feelings for them, being in close proximity now is making their attraction noticeable. Will Addison let herself accept Max into her life? Is Max willing to open his heart to Addison and her child? If this really is love, and it seems it always has been, can they both embrace this second chance to make it work for them in becoming a family?
Although Addison didn’t think that her boyfriend was the man she was destined to spend her life with she did believe he would be there for the baby they were expecting. When she is proven wrong, she begins preparing to be a single mother however Max isn’t about to have her face this alone.
Max doesn’t remember a time that he hasn’t had feelings for his best friend’s sister but has never crossed any line. He regrets not telling her how he felt but he is determined to not repeat that mistake and will be there for her every step of the way and prove that he will not only be there for her pregnancy but every day afterwards as well.
Addison and Max were perfect for each other as they finally acknowledge their feelings for each other and the family they were meant to be.
What a great story here! All the feels in this one along with some swooning! 5 stars for this one! Addison is pregnant and the baby daddy wants nothing to do with it, so even though she's got her brother and his friends, she feels alone. When her long time crush Max shows up at her door offering to stay by her side and help her raise her baby, she's cautious, after all who would want to help raise another mans baby. Max has always wanted Addison, but was always afraid of what her brother would think. When he get's the ok, he swoops in and comes to Addison rescue, but will she be able to let her walls down and let him in? I so enjoyed this story! Grab this one asap, you don't want to miss out on it!
This sweet and cute novella is about Max and Addison who have known each other for a long time. What they both don’t know is that for years they both have harbored feelings for the other but the timing was off and now Addison is pregnant by another guy left alone Max sees his chance to prove to her his love is real and true. Addison is afraid of being let down again but she isn’t afraid to stand by herself and do what she has to for her baby, but she never sees Max coming. This was such a cute and steamy read that I loved their story even though it was quick and now I am curious about the other stories but especially Lucas’.
This is the third book in this series and is Max and Addison’s journey. Max has harboured feeling for Addison for as long as he can remember, but she is his best friend’s sister, not aware that she has been feeling the same. When Addison is surprised by a pregnancy for which the baby dad wants nothing to do with, Max steps up and moves in, determined to help her in any way he can. This is a well written story which has regret, family, friendships, emotions, and love, which leads to a sweet and steamy addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Max has loved Addison since he was sixteen, but never acted on them due to his friendship with her brother. When she gets pregnant by the guy she is dating, but baby daddy wants nothing to do with her and their unborn child. She resigns herself to being a single mom. After all she did not love him as she has been in love with Max.
Max shows up at her house with a suitcase informing her he will staying with her until the baby arrives. How is she supposed to hide her feelings being this close all the time? Can she trust him when he says he loves her? Or will he leave too?.
I received an Advance Readers Copy of this book with no obligation to write a review.
Addison and Max have been friends for ten years, with close friends who support them. Addison gets pregnant with a boyfriend who leaves the second she tells him. Right then, Max tells her he will be there for her every minute from there on. The characters are terrific, with great backstories and banter, strength, and intense feelings. Loved the storyline, the growing relationship, the tension and stress of the hospital, big decisions, a ring and much more. Very emotional, heartwarming story that I would highly recommend to anyone.

Addison has always been crazy for her brothers best friend Max but he has never felt the same way at least that is what she thinks. When she finds herself pregnant by her boyfriend who does not want any part of the baby or her she has to do her pregnancy by herself. Max decides now is the time to step up and make his feelings known and moves in with Addison so he can take care of the woman he has loved from afar but he wants her and the baby that she carries.

Max has been in love with Addison since he was 16. Addi’s boyfriend and the father of her unborn baby has just pulled the plug on their relationship, leaving her all alone. Max takes it upon himself to move into her house so he can be there to help. Addi’s been in love with Max forever and soon they admit their feelings. A pregnancy complication makes the emotion level rise but it ends with a sweet and steamy HEA.

This was wonderful and gave me all the feels on so many levels, all I can say is Max is definitely one of a kind and one of the good ones. Loved how the connection between Max and Addison, and nobody’s surprise of his big revelation. Surprising turn of events for this couple with some unexpected complications arise, I liked the way the author handled the situation and didn’t make light of the many possible scenarios. Great ending and looking forward to Mark’s book next.

Waiting for her by S.A. Clayton Oh wow I Obed this book. Max had been in love with Addison for so long he is taking his shot now. Sure it may seem like a crazy time for him to since she is pregnant with someone else’s baby but I don’t know it made me love Max so much more. I loved every second of this book and I could not put it down I wanted to know what happens if Addison was going to let her guard down and be happy with Max . Well I m not letting you know what happened because trust me you have to read for yourself. Highly recommend.
OK I know I know. I say it every time I read a new book from SA!! SO FREAKING GOOD!!!!!
I love her books, and WOW! This one was right up there with all the ones I've loved before!! The storyline, everything that happens, and I LOVE the pace of it!
Addison and Max. What can I say. Addison is pregnant with someone else's baby and Max, is just pining away for her, secretly. UNTIL he FINALLY says, "I'll help you."
Addison is sooooooo taken-aback by that statement and is not sure how to take it. How can she LIVE with him. There's no way!!!
Well she learns how to live with him. Can they both confess their feelings for one another? Can they make it work, and let alone with a baby in the mix?
I really loved the character development in this book!! They came a long way from the beginning and really showed each other different sides to them. I LOVED IT!!!
Some of my fave quotes: 1. sitting up and taking my fave in his hands and making sure my eyes meet his before he says the next part. I'll help you. - I legit shivered when I read this. SWOON MOMENT! 2. is breathtaking and at that moment, I know will marry this man. - AWE ADDISON!!!
This book was a nice and refreshing book. A nice short read. I really enjoyed it. I was rooting for Addi and Max! This has a happy ending technically no cliffhanger for the MC. All in all I really enjoyed the story and felt like I will definitely recommend this book for my friends wanting a lighthearted romance story with some spice. A nice quick read for one of those days where you want some spice and a couple to root for!
Addie and Max have always liked each other, but kept their feelings hidden. Now she is alone and pregnant and Max takes his chance to step in and help her. Will they end up more than friends. Great series of books.

Addison and Max finally have their happily ever after. I loved how he was all in regardless of her being pregnant. This was sweet and steamy and every story that comes out makes me fall more in love with this group of friends.
This is the third book of this series. Each book just keeps getting better and better. In each book there are different scenarios that deal with real life situations. This is Addison and Max's story. I was laughing and crying. If you love Older Brother's Best Friend with a HEA then this book is for you.
