A self-professed crazy chicken lady, Danica Favorite loves the adventure of living a creative life. She loves to explore the depths of human nature and follow people on the journey to happily ever after. Though the journey is often bumpy, those bumps are what refine imperfect characters as they live the life God created them for. Oops, that just spoiled the ending of all of Danica’s stories. Then again, getting there is all the fun.

I am not the biggest fan of the enemies to love trope. I know others love it but I'm not a fan of personal conflict and I had a really hard time liking the hero. He was pretty much a jerk toward Eugenia. I couldn't figure out why she would feel any attraction to him at all with how he treated her. I was glad that he repented and changed his ways eventually but my dislike of him was too deep by then.
The story line itself was Hallmark-esque generally. It is clean and has pretty heavy Christian lit tones that are not subtle and eventually I kind of felt there was a sermon intended for the reader rather than just part of the story.
I'm intrigued with what the next installment of Abundance Valley would be about but I'm still not liking the enemies trope so I hope that isn't a theme through the series.

This is my voluntary review of a free copy I got through a Sweet & Swoony Romance promo.
Good story.

I love that Brandon was called out on his behavior, accepted the criticism, and repented. His actions after that showed that repentance. Honestly, I'd just about had enough of him by then. Eugenia was a wonderful character. I love the fancy name and the non-fancy personality.

I also appreciate that the corporation wasn't the bad guy. I felt the story walked a little close to that line between worshiping the the Creator and worshiping the creation, but it stay just on the correct side of it.

I really enjoyed the godly aspects of this story. Brandon sure doesn't behave like a godly man to begin with. I enjoyed his humble capitulation. Eugenia is a great, gifted, conscientious godly woman. The characters and their values really 'spoke' to me. The book was a delightful read with useful information too. Interested in reading more books like this. Uplifting.

A short and sweet story. I think my favorite part of this story was that both Brandon and Eugenia had strong faith in God, and they both were mature enough to acknowledge that, while butting heads, God was constantly bringing them together for a reason. They both made mistakes, but they owned them and grew from them

The beginning of this book was really slow and the end was really fast. Not a good balance. But the characters' dedication to the environment was interesting.

I couldn't stand Brandon in the beginning but I loved the faith aspect and the way the characters went to God first and the end was absolutely adorable.

This was a fun story set in a small town with a hidden identity. I enjoyed learning some about development and conservation. The thread of mystery was fun to follow also.
