Great storytelling!
Though some parts did not make sense and I hate how Indian culture's women is expected to be obedient regardless how s*itty the husband is.
It was not at all romantic.
And what happens to Madhavi? No clue for that!

An epic in its tamil original, this english translation is of poor quality, colloquial with repetitive adjectives, and doesn't convey the spirit of Silappadikaram. An irritating BGM in the Audible version further mars the narration. Finished it with difficulty.

Now I want to read more Tamil epics in Emglish. This legendary book is also a poetry. An ode to the hidden strength of the graceful maidens of the Chola times.
