Eizo has mastered mithril sword repair and is looking forward to new experiences, new commissions, and new metals! When a mysterious woman requests a custom katana, Eizo’s passion is ignited. There’s just one problem—the client is a demon, and her people have had a complicated and historically violent relationship with humans. Since Eizo desires a peaceful life, can his conscience withstand forging a god-tier weapon for humanity’s former enemy?

Along with a new commission, Forge Eizo also receives a new family member: an adorable drake called Krul! Unfortunately, navigating wingless dragon ownership isn’t the only trial ahead. Aggressive monsters suddenly appear and start coordinating attacks, so Eizo must join up with military forces to defend the kingdom from the onslaught. Between forging a demon sword, fighting hostile beasts, and supporting his diverse household, can Eizo still make time for a quiet life?

Ezio continues to be a good guy. Is he an ace icon??? Potentially. I just love that he values family more than romance. He wants that kind of companionship. And it rules.

This was the most action packed volume of the series so far as Eizo takes his slice of life story on a military campaign, and my favorite book so far in the series.

Not much to tell about the third volume, another girl is added to the retinue-harem, this time a magic-user, Nilda. With the Drake, named Krul, that carries the wagon, there are 5 plus the main character Eizo, the Blacksmith.
They have not made a sewer or water system from the river to the cabin, they have not made a road out to the town. This fantasy-isekai (reincarnated in another world) novel series is slow, but so far it is all positive, no violence, no gore, no profanity or sexual violence. Because it is for underage readers, then this is super positive.
This is an adaptation of a web novel series. The benefit is that it is well thought out, well written, well translated. If the main character Eizo would actually use his Over-Powered abilities and skills a little more and not hide out so much, then this story could/would be better.

Story: I thought it was going to be better than the 2 previous ones, until it got to the battle.....first he gets pushed to fight, despite the fact he is NOT a soldier. Then he kills the the Big Boss, but he is not acknowledged and then he doesn't get paid as much as expected because he was fighting the fight the asshole duke should have been fighting and was not able to do the job he was actually requested originally....WTH? We have no money to pay you but I brought you here to use you.....useless ass. The dialog for this whole fight was SO LAME!!!! Then he gets tied with yet another woman. Can't they just build another abin for people? Do all of them have to sleep in the same place? Also, how many times does he has to has to repeat he is old, he is only 30 YO.....WTH? Do people die at 50 in Japan? Ridiculous! Onto my next adventure, Happy Readings!

he will told story

the story continues with lots of action and the development of the characters coming along nicely. I enjoy the slow pace of the story as it also has fast paced Adventure. the story is kind of like a slice of life but I think the main character is a little bit in denial as far as he considers the ladies who live with him as family but the author never goes into what kind of family adopted sisters adopted aunts wives girlfriends he never really says and for me that's a little bit boring if it wasn't for the adventure and the well told story. I would have given it five stars if there was a little bit of romance but it's mostly from the girls side and never from his. he is somewhat naive.

Eizo's quiet life in another world continues, disturbed by the odd arrival of a demon and a short military expedition that requires more then the smith's crafting skills. Much like the previous 2 volumes, is is mostly a slow paced slice-of-life story set in a for the genre fairly typical fantasy setting. The harem aspect is really tame, which might be a good or bad thing depending on your preferences. Many women hang around him, nothing happens. As in previous volumes, him constantly thinking of himself as an old man while being in his thirties is a bit exasperating. Still, it is the kind of story I enjoy and hoping to read a bit more about Eizo on JNC in the future.

Still enjoyable..

This is an interesting series and still very enjoyable most of the book is pretty quiet about a Craftsman doing doing doing his craft. That said there are some highlights and some battles. But those are the exception of the rule. Sometimes it's fun to read a book and not have to worry about the big baddie at the end. Don't know if we'll ever see any possible romance between the MC and any of his family. Considering the genre this is part of that particular aspect is usually left completely Unfulfilled but this time not frustrated. I look forward to watching the craft grow the business grow and the family grow looking forward to the next book

Story holding strong

Cute clever reptile draft beast nice addition to cast. Comments by demon guest make me suspect only partly grown up, and magical field at smithy area may be helping it develop. Military segment interesting, and Enzo fooling himself that soldiers won't know and spread news of monster killing blacksmith.

A little action this time but otherwise more of the same. It was fine overall. I do think the illustrations in this series are outstanding though.

A story with some of the most interesting plot points in literature but conversely has some of the most bland dialogue one could ever read.

I have enjoyed all 7 volumes that I have read so far. I am looking forward to volume 8.

I highly recommend the audiobook version by Podium Audio and well performed by Greg Chun. The first 3 volumes have been produced by the date of this review. Volume 4 was released in late December 2023.
I would give the audiobook series 5 stars if there was a way to review it separately.
