I was reading through this book to see if it could be used as part of the conceptual physics curriculum at my school. As a department head, I am always looking for better ways to communicate information in our courses. I thought this booked did a commendable job of conveying complex content in a tangible form.

As someone who never took a physics class but was always interested, this book is a great introduction to "bite-size" physics. I wouldn't call it a study guide, but it's definitely fascinating and breaks things down into easy-to-understand concepts.

Side note: at first I just accepted redshift as a concept, but the more I try to deeply understand, the more my brain hurts

Condense, well-organized and easy to understand

It was fascinating to read in part to refresh what I have learned years before, but also to be shocked with data that I didn’t know at all or that I had it wrong. It was a great treat to read and learn, I think this is was a must-read before I can continue with more advance books on Physics, specially quantum physics and astrophysics as I had planned to read next.

It's an amazing DK book. Both this one and SuperSimple Biology are engaging and informative. It breaks the concepts down into chunks that younger kids can understand, and their parents can explain.
I would say mid-elementary- older middle school are the right ages. Getting close to high school kids would need something more in-depth. We use this as reference material for homeschooling.

This was a good read (haha i mentioned the title of the website), it's nice to look at pictures and having bits of information accompanying it. I would recommend this book for people who have yet to begin to learn Physics, or just for a light read every now and then to remind ourselves the basics.

I liked reading about matter and the movements of atoms. The book is easy to understand and teaches you a lot. It is packed with interesting facts and charts to make your read much more understandable. Many equations for different topics.

*cough * As a sci-fi nerd, I am embarrassed to need this. However... it was very simple and got some concepts through my block head that wouldn't make it previously. Overall grateful for it. And it has great graphics!

Beautiful, dense reference book. This book would best be used as a secondary source for a science project.
