Viking I am Vice-President of The Devil’s House MC. Since leaving the Marines after my last tour in Afghanistan, the club has been my life. I’ve never allowed myself to develop attachments to women; Hell, I never wanted to; relief was all I ever needed, one night. That was until I saw her, Summer Rodgers, a stunning curvy redhead. I couldn’t get her out of my mind, and then one night changed everything; now, I’m not letting her go.
Summer All my life, I have been told I’m not good enough. My weight has always been an issue, and my boyfriend Steven is cruel in his words and actions. But now, his cruelty has gone to a new level, and I see only one way out. But before I could take it, John Monroe, Viking to his club, stepped in and promised me a life I only dreamed of; it seemed too good to be true. A man as gorgeous as John interested in me? Can I take a chance, or will insecurities cause me to run?

Viking falls for the tall curvy redhead but must save her life from her boyfriend. Summer and Viking are a cute couple and enjoyed getting to know them.
Really enjoyed parts of this book. Loved Viking and how he was with Summer.
Viking sees Summer at the nightclub he runs, a year before they actually meet. She’s with her abusive boyfriend Steven, so Viking watches her for a year. Yes you read that right. A YEAR!! 😱 When Summer is about to do something really bad, Viking saves her, and takes her back to the club. Viking is amazing with Summer as she’s always believed that she’s fat, as her ex put her down all the time, and physically abused her. Their relationship is really sweet and I loved how Viking was determined to help Summer get her confidence back.
Then there’s the bad side of their relationship. Neither of them talk about their pasts. Summer has obviously been abused by her parents, then Steven, but never talks about it. Just bottles it up. Viking was in the marines and has got really bad scars on his face, and has extremely bad nightmares, but never talks about it. YOU CAN’T BOTTLE UP PTSD AND STILL BE OK!!! 😡😡😡
There’s a tiny plot with a tiny bit of danger, that’s over way to quickly, and yes it spoilt it. The club women are determined to destroy their relationship, and that plot didn’t go anywhere either. The spelling in this one was unbelievably bad. So many mistakes. Yet again none of the men speak to Sumner, it’s like she doesn’t exist. Shadow is supposed to be really close friends with Viking, who is his VP. Yet he never talks to Summer?? IT’S SO WEIRD!!!
This book isn’t very well written, but I still enjoyed it. Can’t believe it but I did.
Summer Rodgers is at a breaking point, her boyfriend has threatened to kill her if she leaves. She can no longer handle the abuse and is looking for a way out. Little does she know she has caught the eye of Viking the VP of the Devil's House MC.
Viking saw the creep Summer was with and witnessed his abuse. He has been watching for Summer for a year and seeing her distressed, he steps in. He has a plan to make her his. Can Summer see herself for the beautiful woman she is with the help of Viking?
I liked this one best so far in the series. Viking is intimidating but he sure shows a different side of himself to Summer.
This is a new to me author. I hate to critique an author, especially after all the hard work of penning a story and publishing it. The premise of the story was a good one. However , I found the repetition of Summer, constantly calling herself fat throughout the story boring. I did not feel the chemistry between Summer’s character and Viking. I think better character and plot development could have made the story more interesting.
It was a good book. The usual biker fare. My only issues are A. How do you make your wrist bigger so you can slip out of handcuffs? And B. How is it putting yourself down to realistically talk about your size when you are overweight? It seems like anytime anyone mentions their weight these days they are accused of low self esteem or low self worth. There's a difference between that and being realistic and matter of fact.
This couple deserves to be together. Self esteem issues keep Summer from being a strong plus sized woman. Her relationship with Steven is one of humiliating and demeaning words and actions. Viking shows her what a real man is.
Absolutely lovedViking and Summer’s story ❤️❤️❤️ so far this is a great series, plenty of action and of cause those jealous club girls causing drama. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
OMG! This was worse than the last book with all the errors. It’s almost like it was typed out how it was thought and just sent to publish. I am not continuing series. It seems to get worse with every book.
DNF at 73%. Multiple spelling and grammatical errors in the KU edition. Story/plot was mid. I could tell the author was trying to make compelling characters, but execution was left wanting.
