Hmm at first I loved the idea of having two books, and after reading both I don't think this was a good idea at all.. Well unless you just pick one book and don't get curious like me to know how could things go if characters have made different choices...I'm not gonna lie I'm 100% team Damien, but I mean in this book the author decides to make Damien this obsessed crazy monster... I guess we always want the character to develop and become something good and in this book there is no development, but for me that's ok because I could actually see how this ending is very realistic. Now the reason why I'm giving this book 2 stars is not really because of how the story ended but mostly because I thought both books were so repetitive, I had to read the same thing over and over again, moreover the dreams were just annoying to read, it repeated everything that I already knew, maybe if there was only one book the author could focus on writing just one ending and making the end just amazing instead of meh, trying to make everybody happy. I'm kind mad that I had to pay for two books that were 75% the same thing.. So here is my advice do not buy both books, pick one and that's it!!!! I actually was looking for spoilers while reading reviews and couldn't find any, that would totally saved me some time and money so for you all that are curious to known how this book ends, here come some spoilers!!!! Basically in this book Etta kept in touch with all her friends and family when she moved, she then realizes Aaron is great and decide to give them a chance to be together.. She knows that what she felt for Damien was not love, but an obsession.. Damien goes to jail and he decides not to take his pills so he get off jail and he is still the same person he was before, angry and impulsive.. In the end after he left prison, Damien is this Crazy obsessed asshole, he pretty much kidnaps and beats Etta... Aaron tried to save Etta and he gets in this fight with Damien, Etta gets in between them trying to protect Aaron(who is getting his ass kicked by Damien) and she ends up falling out of the balcony with Damien... Damien hold Etta on top of him so she doesn't get hurt.. Damien dies , at the same time he saves Etta. Etta gets her happy ending marrying Aaron and yeah the end..I don't know I really have mixed emotions about this book..
When Lilli announced there would be 2 books for drawn 2, it got me thinking... who should Etta end up with... Aaron the fun loving guy who would bend backward to make Etta life smooth and easy, OR Damien who is very rough around the edges who it totally obsessed with Etta and not in a good way.
So I first read Obsession. WOW WOW WOW it did not disappoint. Aaron stayed by Etta as he always had. What I loved was how Aaron character changed in this book where his was somewhat the pushover guy, he now stand with confidence and ready to defend his woman… god I loved seeing that change in him… I still think Etta is not 100% all there… but that’s her she has always needed a man to guide her, being her dad or boyfriend. Over all I finished the book on TEAM AARON … Lilli it was an amazing read as always. I love how now I can choose who I wanted to walk away with the girl… and because I was a fence sitter with Aaron and Damien I am reading both books. xxxx
The author wrote two books (2&3) with two different endings. So the reader gets to choose which guy she ends up with depending on which book they go for.
Well, I mean it's a good idea. But I don't want to make that choice. It's a cop out for an author in my opinion. And it's extra. Obviously I wanted her to end up with Aaron but any author with good sense should have wanted that too instead of making another book with an alternate ending where she is lumped up with cheater, emotionally/mentally abusive/deranged Damian who watches/coaxes women to masturbate and draws their bloody wet vaginas for cash and treats the general population of women like trash.
I chose the book I wanted with Aaron being her guy, and yeah, it was lacklustre because homeboy was definitely second best. “I feel a bit shitty this morning about how I reacted over Etta’s dream last night. It’s just that when the woman you love is lying beside you making sex noises, you kind of hope she’s making them with you in her mind. Hearing her say ‘Damien’, well, it broke me. I lost my shit. In the six months that we’ve been sharing our lives, it’s only happened a few times. At first, I didn’t say anything about it. I guess I thought that maybe I misheard, or maybe something else was going on. But the more it happened, the more I was sure she was screwing him in her dreams. How the hell am I supposed to react to that? I guess I’ve been feeling cheated on… An affair of the mind is what I think they call it. I’ve been wondering if maybe she sees me as second prize. You know, the guy you get when you can’t have the one you truly want… I don’t know… but after confronting her over it and seeing how upset she was, then realising that those dreams are actually scary for her, I feel kind of bad. She’s said a few times that their relationship wasn’t a real relationship and from what I can gather it was all about sex and control. I don’t think she really knew him at all. I guess that kind of control is hard to break, and I’m trying to be understanding. I really am, but fuck… sometimes it’s just so damn hard to be the good guy.”
Ok wow!!! So ARC review for Obsession. I read redemption first and loved it check out my review of that one too!! I loved Obsession but had to give it a 4.5 star rating rather that the 5 I gave redemption... simply for the fact that I'm team Damien.
So it amazes me how the little tweaks in the story completely altered the choices and decisions of the 3 characters. This is another testament to what a magnificent author Juliana is. I love her ability to pull you in. As I said before I'm team Damien and I loved the healing process he went through in redemption and the factor of having a different support system in prison in Obsession altered everything for him. I found myself actually cringing because I love Damien and he just made the wrong choices that ultimately made him into the monster everyone thought he was.
I also felt Etta was much stronger in this version. Having the change in support from her mother and keeping contact with friends allowed her to heal from her toxic relationship and see it for what it really was.
Aaron!! Ok I'm team Damien but I have to say I was team Aaron by the time Damien got out of prison in this version. He did everything right and allowed Etta to heal before pushing for more than friendship. I just feel in love!!
So now I have whip lash from going back and forth. I think I'll choose to think of these two sequels as alternate universes so I can pretend both Aaron and Damien get their HEA.
Final thought on this. The ending was a shocker and I did shed a tear. But if you love Drawn you have to read both Redemption and Obsession. You will not be disappointed.

At the end of Drawn, our lovely author left us with a massive cliffhanger. Now she gives us a choice, which hero do you want Etta to end up with? If you choose Aaron, then this is the story for you. If you prefer Damien, then you need Redemption. In Drawn, we follow Etta's relationship with Damien and his obsessive need to keep her close. Now, he's in prison for started a pub brawl that landed several people in the hospital and Etta is trying to rebuild her life and learn to be a mother. She can see know that what she had with Damien wasn't love, it was nothing like the feels she now has for Aaron and when Damien shows up at her doorstep, she wants nothing to do with him.....but will he allow her to make that choice?
While I didn't love Etta in the first novel, here I really connected with her. She is doing her best to move on and build a life with Aaron, though she doesn't want to tie in down in her drama initially. She doesn't have many options left in her life except to try and be the best parent she can and be grateful for all of Aaron's help. He literally swoops in and saves the day, helping her with everything she needs while not pushing for the relationship he really wants. She really shows a lot of growth here, coming to terms with the relationship she had with Damien and realizing that it wasn't really a relationship at all, just an affair with a man who would let her know him as well as she wanted. We also get to see her devotion to Evie, who is the cutest little girl ever. In my head, she was more or less a black-haired version of little Anna in Frozen. I loved watching her stand strong against her pull towards Damien because we know it will never work.
Then we have Aaron, my beautiful sweet Aaron. The man has the patience of a saint, not only waiting for Etta throughout the Damien episode but also waiting during her pregnancy and after Evie is born and just waiting in general for her to make a move. He was prepared to move on with his life and let her go, if it was what she wanted. Thankfully, it's not. This time around, she wants him as much as he wants her and they are magical together. They have that perfect relationship we all dream about, with love and trust and complete devotion to each other. The way he is so head-over-heels for Evie as well just had me falling for him all the more. It takes a strong man to love his enemy's child as his own.
Then we have Damien. I was never a Damien fan, but I almost feel sorry for him here. In Redemption, we see him really put an effort into improving himself and getting well enough to really win Henrietta back. After watching him really put some effort into it, it was very sad to watch him spiral out of control here. I feel like his life in Redemption was the best possible scenario and this was the worst, but the more likely of the two to occur. The odds of Damien getting Jordy (or someone like him) as his cellmate were much higher than him getting Keith (who was in cellmate in Redemption). Without Keith's presence encouraging him to improve, he worsens because a violent prison life is likely to have that effect. Why would he change when his ways make him the top dog in this life? And while fighting to stay safe in jail, he's obsession with Etta only worsens. I don't think I would ever want him to win Etta back because I don't believe that would ever really work, but I would have liked to see him get a happy-ish ending. Maybe not a wife and kids, but just a life solidly on the redemption path. The thing he does at the end broke my heart a little. It doesn't redeem him completely but it's hard not to let it bring out more emotion.
I really think that Redemption was the fairy-tale ending, with everyone getting to ride off into the sunset with their happily ever after (Damien with Etta and Aaron finding love with someone new) and this is the realistic path. Under that logic, I should really like Redemption more because I'm a big (HUGE) fan of the happily ever afters, but I really don't think it would have worked. I don't think Etta would really be capable of forgiving Damien and moving on with a life with him after everything he has done. The way this story works out was a much more depressing ending. Aaron & Etta (and Evie) do get to live happily ever after, but Damien's fate isn't very happy...which is why this gets four bows instead of 5. I kinda felt like that was how this was going to end. Once Damien shows up at Etta's house, this is the only real logical way the story could play out, but I kept that hope alive that maybe it would turn out differently.
In the end, I like this story better than Redemption and even more than Drawn, but it wasn't perfect. I loved the idea that we get to pick who she ends up with and that they aren't just the same story with different endings. I love the idea that different choices set you down different paths. For anyone else out there like me who wants to read both novels, you will get a bit of repeated material at the beginning. The start off the same, with very minor differences, but once you hit the halfway mark, things go drastically different as we see how those choices effect their lives. I also love the idea that the two novels present together with regards to Etta. If you read both, you can clearly see that, whether she admits it or not, her desire for Damien is completely within her control because she gives in to it in Redemption but fights it here. That simple choice, give in or fight, changes everything. I have wholly enjoyed this journey and encourage everyone to give it a shot. How can you not want to read a novel where you have the power to choose who Etta will end up with?!?!
****Thank you to Lilliana Anderson for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review****
Well I have been a Drawn fan from the moment it came out. I was as obsessed with it as Damien was with Etta. After reading this story it put a different perspective in the series. Im still Team Damien. But I do love Aaron also. Choose your hero wisely is the perfect phrase for these last 2 books. I LOVED THEM! I was so much Team Damien I was skeptical about Aarons story. Two different stories with different endings but both with same characters. You have to decide who you love more Damien or Ettas dear friend Aaron who helps her out of the dark and self destructive life she was going down. A life that she was so obsessed with. Will Etta choose her hero wisely? Who would you choose for Etta? This is your choice in the books. Is it #TeamAaron or is it #TeamDamien?
After Etta leaves with Aaron she sets out to build her a new life without Damien. But she still has the feelings there for Damien. How do you forget someone who just was your everything? Etta has to make this choice whether to forget Damien and move on with her friend Aaron.
Aaron has loved Etta since the first time they were dateing when her father made the choice for her to stay home. Aaron loves Etta and has helped her thru the the most toughest decision she has ever had to make. Start a new life without Damien in it. And now Aaron is in her life now and plans on living his life with Etta now where he thinks it should have been from the time Etta moved out on her own.
Damien is hell bent on getting back what was his when he finds her after her being out of his life for 3 whole years. No letters from her, no phone call and no trace of her. When he finds her he discovers something he never dreamt of. What has Etta done? He wants what is his and he is going to win her back one way or the other. Or will he?
Can Aaron hang on to what he wants and is he willing to fight for it? What does Etta want now that Damien is back in the picture? Does her feelings return? Or will she choose her hero wisely?
I gave this 5+ stars. How can Lilliana Anderson write these 2 storys and keep them straight? She did and she will keep you captivated thru this book all the way thru it. If your Team Aaron then this is the book you should read FIRST! If your Team Damien then read Redemption first. But either way you MUST read both books you'll find out who the hero is in both books.
Drawn 2-Obsession had my emotions going crazy from the first page. I chose this book because I wanted to see the good guy win for once. I am tired of reading about females going after the bad boy and the good guy is left out in the cold. Makes me think about Mary J. Blige's song called Mr. Wrong. The chorus says "Bad Boys are no good, but good guys are no fun". For once, I want the nice guy to have his cake and eat it too. LOL!
In Drawn, Etta was in love with Damien and he turned her world upside down. Aaron would always be there to help her when she fell but again she wanted the bad boy. Obsession pretty much picks up where Drawn left off and there are even a few flash backs to help you in case you forgot a few things. I even questioned by love for Aaron and Damien in this book. The author allows us to be in everyone's head and it is truly needed in order to understand why these characters are the way that they are. Damien's past is so heartbreaking that I started to feel sorry for him and almost wanted him back with Etta. Then, I read things from Aaron's POV and feel sorry for him also. Both of these men loved Etta in their own special ways. Damien was just more manipulative than Aaron. Aaron was such a sweetheart and loved Etta from day one. I loved that he taught her how to make her own decisions and be independent. He didnt want to control her like her parents died and how Damien did when they were together. Aaron gave her freedom to decide. He was so patient, kind and gentle and Damien was the complete opposite. The build up to their relationship was slow and steedy not rushed and like having that time to get used to them as friends/lovers. In the end, I think I chose the right man!
Now the question is will I read Drawn 2-Redemption. I'm such a noisy person that I think I just might.
**********I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review********
This review has taken me a few days to write. I’ve had a difficult time putting my thoughts and feelings down onto paper (uhm, cyber paper in this case). This ending was very raw and gritty. I won’t lie, somewhere during, Redemption I could not help but wonder what life would be like if Etta had picked Aaron and settled down for a life filled with love and stability from a man who’s love for her is pure and selfless. I got my wish when I read Obsession, and let me just say, wow, their life together was lovely. However, it didn’t come without heartache and tragedy and for this reason alone I’ll stick to Redemption as my alternate ending, thank you very much.
When starting this book I knew it was not going to end well for certain people, and by that we all know I’m talking about Damien. His love for Etta during this story took a haunting turn. They don’t call this book Obsession for no reason. What I enjoyed seeing as I read this version of an ending was, how different life can turn out with just a few minor changes along the way, a different cell mate, deciding to move on, a mother’s advice, ect. This book was similar in the main events, however these minor changes caused such a butterfly effect that it effected the ending entirely. I felt gutted when I finished this book. It was hard to accept, and painful to even consider. I’m so glad I read both endings, and if I had to pick my ending it would be Redemption.
** ARC giving by author in exchange for an honest review. **
Well done. I love my bad boys, we all do, and after reading Drawn, a part of me wanted Damien to win. But a bigger part also wanted to see how dark he could get, and give Aaron what he deserves. So, I picked Obsession. And I'm glad I did. Lilliana does a fantastic job of showing how narrow minded the unstable thoughts of a person like Damien can be; how he honestly believes he's doing the right thing. I loved that despite her fear, Etta held a soft spot for him, as shown at the end. After all that happened, she still showed compassion towards a troubled man. I'll admit - the end had me glassy eyed, and that, is VERY hard to do. Standing ovation, Lilliana, for a well delivered story.
Alright Drawn fans... I'm going to use Lillian's words... Choose very wisely whom you want Etta to be with! I love the fact that the two books parallel with each other but different paths are taken! Another page turner, and a cannot put down book! Darker than redemption with intense mixed emotions! I must say I am still a Damien girl, and preferred Redemption to Obsession, but still a very good read! Redemption was just my happy ending :)
This one was bittersweet for me although I loved seeing Aaron and Etta work out and become a family and find real love, I was sad for how Damien's life had turned out and ultimately destructed in a way that I didn't see coming. I liked Redemption a little better just because everyone had their perfect ending I guess I'm just a sucker for you go through hard times but in the end you get happiness. I did really enjoy the book though.
I read Redemption first and I'm very glad I did considering I am #teamdamien. If you are #teamaaron then maybe read this one first. I loved this and read it in one sitting. COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! I also cried like a baby! both books were amazing and I love the alternate ending. bravo!!
Awesome!!! It's always fun to see the good guy get the girl :) The way Lilliana portrays the characters is unforgettable. I love her writing, she is a very talented and creative Author!!! This series is a must read :)
I choose Damien but I wanted to see how life would have turned out with Aaron. With Damien I think she was in lust with him and because he was so controlling she just went with it but I truly believe she loves Aaron. Damien not a bad guy.
I’m completely screwed up by this ending! I was crying like a baby! I have to admit, I cheated and read the other ending, Redemption, first, and I was rooting for Damien. I’m just twisted right now!!! This is also a good ending to this series.
So this book was a lot different from the other alternative ending. I must say I enjoyed it just as much. I love how Damian saw his faults and got the help he needed to change. I do love a damaged Alpha.
I received an ARC copy of Obsession in exchange for an honest review. I read redemption first and loved it check out my review of Redemption!! I loved Obsession but had to give it a 4.5 star rating rather that the 5 I gave redemption... simply for the fact that I'm team Damien.

This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Have you ever read a book where you love the back up guy, the bestfriend more than the hero? Drawn by Lilliana Anderson was that book for me. I wanted to love Damien, I really did but I was always finding myself drawn to Aaron (see what I did there!) I beta read for Lilliana and I often told her this. I got Etta's attraction to Damien sure, he's sexy and all alpha but he was just a little too domineering for me, a little too secretive and at times all kinds of crazy, so when Etta decided to run and Aaron was there to support her I was cheering because I wanted Etta to see Aaron the way I did, as someone strong, someone she could love with her whole heart.
Drawn Obsession is very much Aaron's moment to shine, he's stood back and been the caring and supportive friend, he's been there for Etta when she felt like the rest of the world had left her, he's been a father to Etta's daughter and never treated her like anything other than his own flesh and blood. When Damien resurfaces and lays claim to Etta once again - Aaron is there, ready to fight for his family.
For me though, I knew Aaron would be the hero of this story, what I wasn't prepared for was how much Etta had grown, how much she truly loved Aaron, how he was never a consolation prize in Damien's absence and even more than that, despite Damien's psychotic tendencies he did prove himself worthy of redemption... In what way you ask.... You're going to have to read Obsession to find out.
Lilliana took on this huge task with writing two sequels, she allowed he reader to literally choose their own destiny for Etta, she absolutely surpassed my expectations.
I really love having a choice on how the story ends. I choose Aaron to be the hero.
At the end of Drawn we see the moment that Damien finds Etta and sees Evie for the first time. Damien is smart even if he is obsessed and he knows instantly that Evie is his little girl. Damien has to take on Aaron to get Etta back. Damien wants to explain all of the things that he held back from Etta while they were in a relationship. He wants to explain the PORTRAIT ROOM and what that job entailed.
Damien of course needs to be on medication for this obsessive behavior. He has been medicated in the past but is not longer. Damien is not being rational and in an effort to convince Etta that they belong together he threatens to kidnap Evie if Etta does not listen to him. Etta is scared and now has been taken by Damien. Etta has no idea what Damien is going to do to her. Damien is unpredictable and unstable which is some of the reasons she left him in the first place.
Now Aaron must find Evie and save her from Damien's obsession. Will Aaron be in time to save the woman he loves? Will Aaron die trying to save the woman he loves? Will Etta ever be free of Damien?
This story ends exactly how I thought it only could. It was a little predictable in my experience but it was still an awesome read. I liked 2 better than 1. Maybe because I really liked Aaron and Book #1 was focused on Etta and Damien's toxic relationship.
Drawn 2-Obsession...where we get to see how everyone's choices lead Etta to wind up with Aaron. Now, for me personally, while I do love the bad boys in books Aaron just really appealed to me more than Damien did. BUT, with that said-seeing how the circumstances and choices faced by the characters in this path shaped who Damien wound up becoming in this version, my heart went out to him as it tore me up to see how dark he became.
With this version being in support of Aaron, it was wonderful to see the relationship between him and Etta become reconnected and grow into so much more. And when Damien returns with his hardened attitude, it all sets the stage for some crazy fireworks between the characters that will keep you glued to the pages to see what will happen.
Damien's character going down the path that he did in this version just struck me as not the way his character should have ended up. I know the way this version turns out is a way to show how totally different life can be based on those seemingly insignificant decisions-no matter how small-that we make, but I personally did not like how things ended up for Damien...which led me to my 3 star rating since that overshadowed everything else.
The book is still captivating, and will keep you on edge until it all plays out.
Oh my god! I couldn't put this book down. Poor kids got ignored only for a little bit I usually read at night and when they are at school. This story had me laughing and crying. I love the characters what can I say Aaron was a perfect guy. He waited for his princess and I can't say it will spoil it for others who haven't read it yet. I was crying at the end but can't tell you why. My kids think I am crazy crying reading a book I know the characters are fake but her writing is so great I feel like there real characters and I felt what they felt. It beautifully written. Even how Aaron felt at the end of the story he shouldn't have cared but that's not him. He cares and is a loving guy. Now I am off to read Damien's book let's see if I feel the same after reading his story but for now and since the beginning Team Aaron.
Let me just start by saying....im definitely team Damien...I mean like HARD CORE DAMIEN FAN.....but I really wanted to read and see the book with Aarons love of Etta. I have to say this book tore me up. Having had a family member who was bi-polar and manic depressive, I really got a true sense of how crazy and desperate Damien got. I also loved how at the end of the book, when Damien was hurt/passing on, how Lilliana let Etta and Aaron feel compassion and hurt when he died. Mental illness is something very hard to deal with and you need to learn how to love the person and not the illness because it really makes you do and say crazy things. I felt she really grasped that at the end and it was a very beautiful moment in the hospital. That being said...cant wait to freaking read Damien as the hero ;-)
I think these are the best words that describe Obsession. I will admit that I went into this book not wanting Aaron to win, but..... Yeah he won my heart over by the end of the book. He is loving and caring and true to his heart. What does his heart say and want? Etta. This series answers that what if question. What would happen if I choose this man or the other? What would my life look like? Did I make the right decision? What better way to get your answers but to live both lives! So if you were team Aaron after you read Drawn then this is definitely the book for you. Lilliana's writing is brilliant, I mean how often do get get to read the what if? Loved beyond all measure!
I thought that I would love the idea of being able to choose who Henrietta ends up with but there were pros and cons to it. First of all I probably should've just chose one book and not read both but who honestly thought that my curiosity wouldn't win out on that one? So yes I read both. I read this one first though. It was good but I would recommend reading the other one, Redemption and just not reading this. In my opinion even if you like Aaron he still makes out okay in both. I hope that's not giving too much away. I kinda feel like it gives a little away since you clearly know who she ends up with in each. They are both good books!
Wow, I just don't know what to say! I read this book even after reading Redemption simply to see how the story line would play out. I was happy with Damien and Etta's HEA, but my curiosity won out again. Obsession was a great book as well, however it was definitely very emotional. I did find myself crying due to the turn of events and the way the story ended. I don't want to give anything away, but it was just such a tragedy!!! Either way, Obsession was a great read overall. It was such a great idea to write two different endings to Etta's story!
Took one star away due to editing errors which annoy me. I worried for the first few chapters that I wasn't going to feel the emotions of this book as truly as I should because I already know who wins the girl.... the ending is unexpected and shocking and made me cry and hurt so much for the characters. I wasn't planning on reading the alternate ending, where Damian wins the girl because his hot headed ass was driving me nuts by the end of book one but now I need to see his happy ending to feel complete.
When I had the choice to choose which ending I wanted Etta to pick Aaron or Damien, I figured I would choose Aaron. But obviously I will also be buying the other ending too. I like how Etta and Aaron end in this book with their happily ever after, however I didn't like Damien's ending..so sad!!!! I needed Kleenex for this. Like other reviews I read this one (Aaron's happily ever after) first and now I must read Damien's. This was a great read.
