As the wedding fast approaches on the Duke’s estate, Ryoma toils away to add his finishing touches to the venue. The night before the wedding he encounters the mysterious Yui, and gains another glimpse of the inter-dimensional traveler who came before him. After the grandiose wedding, the gods among its attendees, a sense of normalcy returns to Ryoma’s life. A new adventure in a new destination may lead to a jackpot of new slimes like this fantasy world has never seen... Sit back, and enjoy the 8th installment in this slow-living, slice-of-slime-ridden-life fantasy.
Nice to see Ryoma travelling and adventuring to other locations, and the experiences and goings-on he encounters. Another nice slow-paced entry, though we got to meet the selfish and somewhat evil Serelipta, god of water and ports. Just waiting to see if he will get his just desserts for messing with our boy Ryoma.
This book started joyous, with the wedding and the talk with the gods. But I think what I enjoyed most is Ryoma i can see Ryoma actually dabbing into waste management though! The scavenger slimes are all so dependable and convenient and there's also that talk with Reinhart. I want to see more of what's going to happen in that aspect. I can see Ryoma handling waste management in the cities well.
Ryoma also finally meets new gods. I'm not sure what to feel about Serelipta. He's quite the strong headed god in a lithe body. Really forceful and won't listen.
I can feel conflict or major events coming and I'm quite wary. I just want Ryoma to be happy, he deserves as much.
The extra story is hopeful and ahhh, But that bit is nice to know. At least they got some sort of closure even if they can't see him already. Also, the extra stories are all an enjoyable read. It's nice reading about the people around Ryoma.
I'm excited to know about the next. The plot is moving and it's making me look forward to it!
Much like the previous parts, a slow paced slice-of-life continuation of the story. The author does show some self-awareness when he has the MC contemplate how readers would complain about the slow pace if he was in a light novel. The ending is a bit ominous, we have the first mean spirited character who gives a prediction although the character is not overly trustworthy. So an enjoyable quick read and who knows we might get some real action and character development in future parts.
Awww....Hudges is finally married hehe.. a joyous occasion. And of course adventures begins and a new slime appears and also meeting new people and also gods. And also hiring a new helpers to help in his business. As usual the slimes are evolving and have different abilities that Ryoma is researching. Can't wait to read more. Loving the slimes. Oh and not to forget he got some new familiar which is a proud snarky chicken.
I had a feeling Ryoma would eventually meet a fairy! It’s also interesting that the fairy was the familiar of the Jamil family founder who was a Japanese person from earth.
Lots of new characters with the chickens and the new god. There’s conflict when the god Serelipta breaks the rules and nearly hurts Ryoma.
The new wire and pearl slimes are great!

I don't know why, but this felt a little boring to me. Not that much. But not as appealing as the previous volumes. Then again, there are instances like that. Just glad that I got to finish reading this volume. Oh, and I know why this volume didn't appeal to me that much. That new god introduced here. Urgh! 😒😑😔
I'm just like in awe. The ending got me real good. I can't believe Ryoma and a God were about to fight. However the god did gave Ryoma some good advice. I'm not sure how he will act.
3.75, but i’ll bump it up to 4 for the psychoanalysis talk near the end which just reminds me why I love this series so much. So much cozyness, but never afraid to go deep and reflective and tackle hard topics with seriousness.
A 6hr audio book. Another fun, short and non action packed slice of life from Ryoma. This did have a twist to this book, but I do not wish to ruin anything.
Very disappointed with the Bonus Story. This was not in the original, and the language was foul. I hope they don't keep adding these unnecessary vulgarities going forward.
I like reading this series it is definitely a slice of life primarly. Ryoma spends a lot of time working (even thought he wasn't going to) and accomplishes a lot for someone so young. He has a strange encounter with a god in this book and I will be interested to see if anything comes of that. Ultimately he just lives his life and tries to make his world and the lives of the people around him better and that is what I like about this story.
Ryoma Takebayashi's adventures continue in the eighth volume of the light novel. With his store secure from the slave he hired, Ryoma is off to fight Mad Salamanders. They are creatures on his list to find his inheritance.
To achieve that goal, Ryoma is off to Lake Latoin, where he meets a new cast of characters. He even aids in finding a lost child. The child, a boy named Nikki, becomes Ryoma's impromptu assistant with slime research. Ryoma meets the god of fishing and ports, Serelipta. Serelipta messes with Ryoma, though.
Ryoma needs saving from Serelipta, so Willeris and Grimp pitch in to help.
In other news, on Earth, one of Ryoma's old co-workers had a dream in which Gain, Lulutia, and Kufo told him that Ryoma was doing well. I wonder if this will be the end of the Earth stories.
I enjoyed the book. Thanks for reading my review, and see you next time.
