Fearless is a cross country adventure of intrigue, friendship and murder. Six childhood friends embark an on altruistic camping trip in the 1970's to console the widow of veteran who was killed in Vietnam. Their trip, beginning with brilliant weather, warm camaraderie and the magnificent beauty of the nation quickly deteriorates as the weather changes from pleasant to hostile. Exacerbating the weather are the characters they meet and the events they encounter: the snowplow driver, Jimbo the Vet, the furry of the mighty Colorado, the antiquated, time warped salon in a small California hamlet, Vietnamese emigrants and the tumultuous meeting with the widow Lucy. Humor, adventure, PTSD (Post Traumatic Syndrome Disease) and ultimate bloodshed are woven into an exciting tale that pays homage to Veterans who served and sacrificed their lives for the country. Fictitious yet real, this story will grip the reader from beginning to end and will beg for a Part 2 to be told.

Fearless: A Journey Across America has been an incredible adventure to read. The author has such a special way of using words that could simply be called artistic and magnetizing in a way that just pulls the readers right in. The climactic moments and scenes of the story are further emphasized and dramatized with the magical way Frank chooses and weaves his words. Join the adventure of a group of youthful teens as they reunite to console the widow whose husband died during the war in Vietnam. As they travel across States, the abrupt change of the weather marks the sudden change of scenes in the story. Vinnie and Emily were lost and deceived, pushing the characters in this novel to their fates, unearthing that sometimes, what drives people to do wickedness is our very own darkness. This book teaches us that in the real-world people, who desperately want to cling to wealth and easy life through force and deceit, use deceit and lies. However, some are like Vinnie, fearless and adaptable, who tried to make a difference, reminding us that wealth and an easy life come with hard work and honesty. With a great plot twist and well-drawn characters, this one is hard to put down. Readers will find it easy to follow the storyline. The pace is fast and highly engulfing. Strongly recommended!

I have always believed that a book is an outer manifestation of its writer’s innermost being and Fearless: A Journey Across America perfectly lives up to this saying. Frank Settineri, the author, pours out his whole heart into writing this masterpiece and it truly shows in the way that his words and the plot itself held so much impact. Frank’s passion for writing is extremely tangible in this and one cannot help but appreciate such devotion.

The trip to California was surely a trip to forget but somehow, that’s where the strong plot of the story lies. Vinnie and his friends are on the way to console a widow, yet, their supposed road trip in a DEVEX turned out to be a nightmare. Every chapter is an experience itself, and it goes from light to dark in seconds that you don’t quite expect but should see coming. Furthermore, it’s compounded with a sense of suspenseful events that gets worse as the story progresses. The only qualm that I have for this book was that everything came at you fast and hard, not giving you a chance to sit with it in the end. There was only so much you could do with the major stakes of the book, only so much that you could take in at a time. As such, it didn’t quite stick the landing, despite a spectacular attempt to do so.

When the talent of a novelist and the strong principles of an outspoken intellectual collide in a single person, it is inevitable for a masterpiece to be created. Frank Settineri writes every line with a portion of his heart and soul imbued to produce tantalizing thrilling prose.

Fearless: A Journey Across America is a fascinating fictional story on survival, friendship, love, and suspense. With a theme this heavy, one would expect an angsty and dramatic recounting of a complicated plot with lots of dizzying twists and turns. This book focused on the lives of these six individuals, narrated by Vinnie, one of the six childhood friends as they go on a road trip. But even before the road trip, there were already climactic and a lot of fun scenes that were happening. They just keep getting better and better as the story progresses. Frank Settineri did not disappoint and even exceeded my expectations with his action-packed narrative that filled me with excitement, thrill, and overall paranoia of fearing for the protagonist’s life. An awesome novel to read. You’ll beg for a sequel on this one.

Frank Settineri takes us on a whirlwind of survival, betrayal, taboo, and karma as he, through Vinnie’s point of view, recounts the whole prose. Despite the tenterhook experience, Fearless: A Journey Across America is surely an inspiration.

Joey, though his minor role in the story, made a strong impression of respect to the veterans of war. Fearless not only describes Vinnie’s transformation but also gives us a glimpse into the lives of the veterans through their post-traumatic syndrome. It’s a novel that is less than 400 pages and you’ll be sad to see it come to an end. With its length, this one is perfect for regular readers. There’s nothing that I have for the author other than high admiration and praise. He was able to bring life to every character, and even from the first page, I was amazed at how he placed each character, setting, and event while also placing a bit of humor throughout the pages. The book details a lot of things that would leave you feeling satiated. This is, without a doubt, a must-read that will appeal to a wide range of people. I couldn’t recommend this book enough.

An action-filled, cross-country novel that is sure going to have you at the edge of your seat the whole time. Because of its compelling scenes and well-drawn characters, I finished this book in just one sitting.

A group of young people decided to go on a road trip in a camper that was lent to them by Bobby to console the wife of a widow. Her husband died during the war in Vietnam and they wanted to pay their respect and make sure that the widow and the kids were fine. However, their plan turned awry. The deep snowstorm and strangers during their stopover made their trip scary. Fearless: A Journey Across America tackled all my senses. This might be the only one in my reading list that has so many highlights with the sheer amount of thrill and suspense this book imparts. I found myself engrossed in every page as I continued to turn it one after another. I had a blast reading this and I feel a lot more motivated than before I started reading. Kudos Frank Settineri for delivering such well-written prose!

I saw this book on a shelf, I’d be compelled to pick it up and look inside. Fearless: A Journey Across America is a book that speaks of friendship, betrayal, murder, and love. First impression matters and this is my honest review.

Fearless: A Journey Across America by Frank Settineri has an intriguing title. If I saw this book on a shelf, I’d be compelled to pick it up and look inside. The plot was well-structured with just the right balance of drama, suspense, and action. It featured the lives of these six childhood friends as they reunite to console a slain soldier’s wife. Every twist of the story has its huge surprise and aha moments. Nonetheless, this book honors the fallen heroes of the war and the living veterans. Frank captivates his readers by expertly weaving a web of excitement and thrill, a dash of heart thumps, and a couple of well-placed suspense and action. The only thing that I didn’t like about the book was the tidy ending, but based on the epic cliffhanger at the end, it was simply hard to top.

With interesting and challenging story twists matched with well-drawn characters, this was a very well-written book.
Told from the first-person point of view, Vinnie, a reluctant yet adventurous traveler went on a journey to California on a camper together with Emily to console the widow of a veteran who was killed in Vietnam during the war. Their road trip turned into a nightmare as they were met with a lot of challenges along the way. And when their childhood friends get reunited to join the trip, things got more complex to the point of death among their gang.

The narration was smooth and you could feel the tension, the frightening weather, and the scenes. I was deeply engrossed with the twist and turns of the story that reading feels like watching a film. Fearless: A Journey Across America turned out to be the perfect remedy for my reader’s bloc. I am recommending this book to each of the five stars!

Frank brings us suspense and an action-filled story, not of idealistic romance, but a cross-country novel. Fearless: A Journey Across America gives us a glimpse of what’s inside a mind of a youngster who merges his life with little mistakes such as stealing cigarettes. Although I do not commend what they were doing, somehow, during their childhood days seeing dim ditch cops, and get away with stealing is satisfying. A great plot twist made this book remarkable and appealing to suspense enthusiasts. I didn’t see the murders coming, and one particularly scary night in a camper where they were haunted by wolves according to a stranger. There are trigger warnings in this book such as profanity and gruesome murders. If these things don’t bother you at all, then this book is for you. It’s something that you would want to take your time reading to savor all the thrilling and suspenseful life of Vinnie. Great read!

Frank Settineri narrates the story of a young man named Vinnie as he accompanies his friends on a trip filled with twists and turns. Fearless: A Journey Across America is written in an alluring fusion of youthful adventure, bittersweet reality, and a beautifully satisfying ending. Vinnie’s point of view was well narrated in the story and gave the readers a sense of connection with the main characters, making it easy to bond and feel a kinship towards this young man. It’s a great book to witness the transformation of this scared and inferior little boy into a fearless man. Even before the trip began, all the challenges he encountered along the way made him a remarkable character to emulate.

One thing I will say for the author, Frank Settineri knows how to leave readers utterly speechless with his jaw-dropping scenes. I was floored by the truth that was teased but never fully explored until the end leaving the readers with beautiful cliffhangers that foretold more is to come.

An enthralling, exciting, and scary cross-country novel by a talented author. It’s a book that proves life ain’t easy. You’ve got to stand up to earn your reputation, and never allow bully you. The journey of Vinnie, together with his girlfriend and childhood friends will take you to a 1970 setting.
In general, I genuinely admire Frank Settineri’s talent for writing. Although written in fiction form, he made me believe in friendship, love, and forgiveness despite the circumstance. This novel is relatively short and I finished it in one setting. I was sad when I came to the end real quick. I wish there could be a sequel for this one for a different adventure. Despite the length of the novel, the action, the drama, the conversations, and the twists and turns we get to explore are timeless. I do not doubt that this book is going to be a blockbuster.

It was such great fun reading Fearless: A Journey Across America by Frank Settineri. The way he describes the appearance of a setting in such a detailed manner creates an incredibly clear image that it feels like I’m watching a movie in my mind’s eye as I read. The conversations and body languages of the characters depict each character’s personality very well with no hint of discrepancy. I love how inferior Vinnie is to Gino. I had so much fun reading his point of view on his inferiority which later on he overcame. But the way Vinnie narrated the whole scene felt was a great way to bring us a unique perspective to every scene. A perspective that is limited to Vinnie and gives us the thrill, suspense, scary, and fun reading experience.

Overall, this book by Frank is a literary work of art that perfectly reflects this author’s pride, passion, and talent.

Fearless: A Journey Across America is a fascinating blend of exhilarating adventure and thought-provoking scenes. Reading Vinnie’s journey through their trip to help a widow and to survive such a trip of tragedy and romance gives the readers a sense of respect and inspiration for the main character who, through thick and thin, grasped his life in his own hands and steered the sails of his destiny through the help of his friends, his valiant effort and brilliant mind judgment. My heart went out to this young man who got to learn life the hard way.

The realistic approach of the author in recounting his story made Vinnie all the more real and tangible to the reader. This deep sense of connection with the protagonist enamored me in the book as I felt like I was also going through what Vinnie was going through. I am recommending this book to each of the five stars!

The beauty of Fearless: A Journey Across America by Frank Settineri lies in its perfect blend of action, thrill, drama, and realizations. I enjoyed the author’s deep perspective and ideas about Vinnie’s life that make this book unique and more lifelike. His characters come to life through explicit descriptions as well as their interactions with each other. The tone in which the whole story was being narrated was dire and action-packed with just the perfect amount of brooding undertones accentuated by the meticulous choice of vocabulary that made the readers aware of the seriousness of the situation.

I like the ending, and though there were murders and confessions, the ending is timeless. And I believe that it’s going to leave a long-lasting impression on both minds and hearts of the readers. A great and suspenseful book to read!

Deeply themed with cross-country adventure, six childhood friends embarked on a journey to find and comfort Lucy, the wife of one of their childhood friends who died during the war in Vietnam. However, life does not live up to one’s expectations. It’s a story of friendship, romance, betrayal, and adventure.

The author provides a unique and heart-stopping takeaway on the challenging and suspenseful supposed adventure of this group of youths who were reunited to console Lucy. It’s a story that would have you on the edge of your seat, anticipating, and wanting to learn more. The ending was surprising. There were a lot of murders and it was sure a lot of fun to find out the murderer. Highly recommended!
