A New-Adult and adult, multi-genre mixed sci-fi, sci-fantasy novel – what does that mean? Think, a science-fiction romp between Earth and a holiday planet? Think, extra-marital romance, often steamy, with all the troubles, tribulations, and excitement it can bring. “Jodee and Tilly face so many dilemmas, the reader can’t help but wonder how they would herself react in similar circumstances.”
Alien Assimilation is Part Three of the Crantis Marcian Trilogy where it is preceded by the internationally acclaimed, 5* Alien Affair and 5* Alien Abduction.
Book one has variously described in 5* reviews from the USA, UK, Germany and India as bonkers, sexy, mind bending, mad, witty, erotic, fast moving, well-written, and entertaining.
Book two follows a similar style and has a 5* description of “This book got me so hooked, I stayed up most of the night reading it.”
Book three sees Jodee and her friend Tilly live through their fantasy lives, travel to a holiday planet and learn things about themselves that they could never find out on Earth.
Stephenson Holt is an author that physically writes between 5am and 8am each morning, leaving that painting to sketch and dream for the rest of the day. Sometimes he returns into normality but not for long periods. For most of his life he is constructing one novel while sketching the next novel – it keeps the mind fresh. His favourite sketch and dream places are;- I. Lying on a beach listening to the waves. II. A favourite armchair in the conservatory with heavy rain on the roof. III. Laying in a hot bath staring at a tiled wall. IV. Sitting next to a canal where he used to fish as a boy. V. Motorway driving. VI. That chair in the corner of the greenhouse, shielded from the sun by that grapevine and next to the olive tree, full of bird feeders. VII. Gardening with a corner of his eye on the sparrow returning to the nest in the eaves above him and imagining he’s the sparrow looking down on himself. VIII. Running a familiar route where he doesn’t have to concentrate on where he’s going.
When stuck for inspiration he will;- I. Listen to an episode of “The Invisible College” a series of ten minute podcasts from BBC Radio 4 that sit nicely on an iPod. II. Listen to a three album collection converted to CD of Jack Kerouac reciting and backed by either piano or saxophone. Including “Poetry for the beat generation” and “American Haikus.” III. Fight like a superhero with a six year old grandson. IV. Walk in the hills.
Another bonkers read about aliens, time travel and other dimensions - Set 150 years after the events of book two and Jodee, Brad, Tilly and Kert are still alive with the addition of new character, Jodee and Brad’s daughter Bronwen. Which I was a bit confused with at first until I remembered they were all linked to Helen their computer AI who can regenerate them every year so they don’t age. The diabolical plot that the Crantis Marcians dreamt up to take over the Earth is now in full swing with most of the Earth’s population Human/Crantis Marcian hybrids otherwise known as Crants. With the grim situation that the Earth now finds itself in the four friends decide to take their pod and escape to a paradise alien planet for a long overdue holiday. However things quickly go south when the four of them meet their dopplegangers from another dimension and everything soon spirals into a surreal life of time travel, alien wars and the ultimate sexual fantasy. But after this nothing will be the same again. This was an enjoyable and exciting read. I loved the new time travel element but I felt there was a few things unresolved so I do wonder if this is not the end and a fourth book may be coming. I certainly hope so.
I couldn’t put this book down! I was so excited when I discovered it was released. This book continues with the four characters we all love! The added twist is that it takes place 125 years in the future. That means we get to meet Bronwyn, Jody and Brad‘s daughter. I was excited that she also gets a perspective. While Broadwin stays at the farm, everyone else decides to go to a holiday planet. Everything goes awry from there. There is war, doppelgängers, time travel, and a bitter sweet happily ever after for all!
This book is continuation of Alien affair and continues with four characters namely Jodee, Brad, Tilly, Bronwyn. They all go on a holiday planet. 125 years further. The part I loved is where is Tilly finds love in arms of her husband's friend and then how the problem begins, although finally it's a happy ending. My personal analyses is that why is there the need for couples to have genuine intimacy and love. The reason why everything starts falling out of place as there is lack of love.
I also loved the way as to how the author has portrayed about time travel, doppelganger and war.
