THE RAGE KING HAS AN UNQUENCHABLE LUST FOR DESTRUCTION!
Colt Holliday knows all too well how life can sometimes just piss you off, but he’s learned to control his anger issues. Or so he thinks. When an ancient god takes over his soul, Colt is faced with a rage unlike any other. Now when he gets mad, he hits like a Category 5 hurricane after too many shots of Patrón.
Colt soon finds himself in an insane world of mythical creatures—vampires, werewolves, and demons—hiding among humans. These monsters will do anything to take this new power from him. Colt needs to control the god of rage, but to do that, he'll have to win the heart of a nerdy girl possessed by the goddess of lust and a sad vampire who swore she would never fall in love again.
Disclaimer: Rage King is a steamy, rather slow-burn urban fantasy adventure that has the MC creating a harem to control the god of rage possessing him. The sex scenes are explicit. Welcome to a rich, brand-new world from Aaron Crash, the bestselling author of the American Dragons and the Princesses of the Ironbound series.
well thats enjoyable! the world building and game mechanics blend well and I like the way the harem aspect is done quite modest compared to many smarty romance to I like this a lot. I expected way more sec to controle the rage but it was so tastefully and way different the the trope I give it an extra star for unexpected class
Colt Holliday has anger issues which he thinks he is keeping under control until he's taken over by an ancient Sumerain God and plunged into a world full of mythical monsters hiding amongst humans who are all out to steal his power. So can Colt control the god of rage, Urgu-Uku? Not on his own he can't, but with the love of a girl possessed by the Goddess of lust, Zeh-Gaba, and a very sad and bashful vampire who swore she'd never fall in love again but actually did, he can. They found out that Vincent Isaac, the tyrannical elder vampire who had turned Eliza and who wanted the Gods currently residing in their bodies needed to be taken care of, they also needed to find and break the Fate Blade which could kill them and release the gods, and they needed to learn more about the Gaia orb and how this could help them. They had help from Colt's dead aunt Jewel who had taken up residence at her house as a ghost, as well as from the gnome called Bafflestone who had been the first in Firestone Alley and who hated Isaac. Elisa was full of remorse blaming herself for releasing the two gods who had inhabited Gilly's and Colt's bodies but these two were actually pleased to enter this new world of magic and myth. This urban fantasy adventure is jampacked with hot explicit sex scenes for a mature reader in the usual Aaron Crash's style, which I for one really enjoy but it is also full of love shared between our very endearing trio.
Holliday secrets are revealed as Colts and Gillys lives are changed forever so
Another smashing hit by Aaron Crash it entails a average human working at a warehouse operated by UPS once owned by Colts Grandfather Walt but his evil uncle sells the company Colt had once thought to run some day . Now in order to save all the workers jobs a Holliday must work there a number of years before moving on later if they wanted to . Later a accident happens an Colt an his college partner are possessed by gods as relics of statutes are accidentally broken unloading from a pallet for shipping . recommend reading excellent book .
More of the usual in Urban Fantasy where you get the MC discovering that there are other races hidden in amongst humans. In this story they mostly keep to themselves in their own underground cities. This story brings a bit of a twist with the MC getting an old God trapped in his soul, a God of Rage and destruction which somewhat meshes with his old anger issues. This was a fun book with some interesting characters. Some of the aspects seemed a little half-baked like how/why the MC gets runes, but similar to American Dragons sex activities seem to power-up abilities for the MC.
Normally I think Aaron Crash’s books are decent, but I think this one missed the mark. Too many character choices just felt contrived rather than organic and there were even a few contradictions in the story that didn’t make sense to me (i.e, main character wonders what endurance does when it says it right in the orb message).
Unfortunate, because it was an interesting premise, I just didn’t agree with a lot of the Author’s choices in how a normal person would react in the situations portrayed.
Move over American Dragon, Rage King is taking the top spot as my favorite series from Aaron Crash. While you could say that I should wait till more books come out before I make that statement, if you've read any of Aaron Crash's series, you would know just how good this is gonna get. Trust me, I've read them all. And I will be waiting anxiously for the next book to be released.
A well written, well edited and original harem story
Aaron Crash has produced one of the most readable and enjoyable harem novel series that I have come across in a while. Thoroughly enjoyable, with the lead up to the harem handled in an as believable a fashion as I have seen anywhere. Read this story about a couple of the old Gods translated into the 21st century and what it actually feels like to be an avatar.
This is a fun read there's a lot of action a little bit of humor and a whole lot more action. The characters are well written and easy to understand and get into. I like the way the fantasy world is built and I can't wait to read more about it and the further adventures of colt and his two women that he loves
Aside from the initial burst of action and magic, the book itself was slow to start, but this worked well with the baffled and intrigued MC and ally who were basically thrown into the deep end of a world they knew nothing about.
I was already a fan of his other books, so getting into this was a no brainer. It's an interesting balancing act for the MC between his own anger issues and having a rage god taking up residence. The women come across as actual people and not just spare bed pillows with their own concerns and issues that need to be addressed. Looking forward to where things go from here.
I would classify this story as a non-starter instead of slow because after reading 30% of the story I have no idea who important characters are, no idea of the way the story is going to go. If I had nothing else to do maybe I would go further, but not right now
Nice to have a slow sex progression. Harem? Maybe a werewolf? Is everything like a video game? Will the shipping place keep on? Where are the werewolves in the real world?
Very promising book with a good story and great fight and sex scenes. I just give it three stars because of the repetition of the dialogues. Eliza is insufferable with her "golly". I just can't take it.
As I have found all of this authors works, this is a well written and fun adventure story!!! Lots of interesting characters, unique magic and a uniquely intriguing world!! More more more
I stumbled upon gem and gave it a shot. Good world building and interesting characters. The gods possessing the main characters give the book a nice fun angle to it. Looking forward to the next book
Very much enjoyed this, supernatural with a salting of fantasy and one might say a sprinkle of steampunk. The characters were well developed and I thought the story was tight. Looking forward to the next in series.
This book was full of action. Seems the good guys cannot catch a break. Every time they remove a threat seems another one pops up! Can't wait to see what happens next. Love ghost stories especially helpful ones.
This was a great beginning for a series. I really look forward to the follow up books. The main characters were well thought out and relatable in their own way.
Ugggg this is terrible 😢 the first spicy scene was cringe and the whole there is a god in my body story lines is weird jill is overly repressed and this is just not doing it for me DNF
A good read and another reasonable MC dealing with the hand he's dealt. The idea is interesting, and the MC's ability to (mostly) channel/redirect an ancient amoral force of destruction is kinda Hulk-ish, but going paranormal instead of superhero is the right call to provide more story possibility.
