I never expected to fall for my best friend’s little sister, and I definitely didn’t count on her breaking my heart.

Jade Cole entered my life like a tornado, and I never saw her coming. I should have been strong enough to resist her. After all, she was forbidden, my best friend’s little sister, and the bane of my existence.

But the more she got under my skin, the harder it was to resist her. Until I couldn’t fight back any longer. One kiss led to another, and the more I had her, the harder it was to let go.

Then she dropped the bomb I never saw coming.

I have cancer.

And it’s like I’ve been sacked to the ground all over again. I’ve already lost somebody I love to cancer, and I can’t do it again.

But I also can’t walk away from her.

Because Jade and I? We’re like magnets. And no matter how hard you try to separate us, we’ll find our way back to each other, regardless of the destruction we leave in our wake.

“I'm not sure when it exactly happened, but somewhere on the way, somewhere in this hell, I've fallen in love with you. You were my light, my saving grace. You, Jade, you're what saved me. When you walked away, you saved me.”

5 STARS 🌟

Kiss to Salvage is the continuation of Jade and Prescott's story and takes place right after the events and cliffhanger of the previous book in the Blairwood University series.

After that cliffhanger at the end of Kiss to Shatter, I couldn't wait to see what would happen to Jade and Prescott. Like the first part of their story, I knew this book was going to be a rollercoaster of emotions, but that didn't stop me from shedding tears as the pages went by! It was filled with sad, heartbreaking moments, but it was also beautiful to see two broken people heal and understand that they need to take care of themselves first. I couldn't keep the book down, and it's definitely one of my favorites in the series!

Jade finally admitted out loud that she was sick, and even though it was hard for her to accept it, and reminded her of her mother, she remained so strong and brave. Her journey is an inspiration! As for Prescott, he was still suffering in silence from his leg injury. He was afraid for Jade, and her condition brought back difficult memories of what had happened to his brother. Prescott blamed himself for what had happened to him and Jade, and he was clearly on the road to self-destruction.

Jade and Prescott's situations created a lot of back and forth between them because they couldn't make their relationship work. They shared a lot of raw moments and tried to help each other and get better, but in the end, they realized they needed time apart to heal on their own. They received a lot of support from their friends and I loved their scenes together! I also liked that there was not a lot of drama between Prescott and Nixon. He was there to support his best friend and sister, and it reminded me how amazing he was and how moving his book was. Even though most of Jade's friends didn't understand Prescott's attitude toward her, they knew how much he loved her, and they couldn't help but root for them. The longing and the love they had for each other were even more palpable in this book. Yes, it was steamy, but unlike the first part of their duet, it was more focused on their emotional connection, and I absolutely loved that!

The ending was perfect, and overall, Jade and Prescott's story was beautifully written. It was so emotional! They had to overcome a lot, but in the end, they came out stronger as individuals and as a couple. They deserve nothing but the best! Penny's book is coming out next, and I'm really looking forward to reading it. I can't wait to see who she will be paired with!

Spoiler alert!!
I hate the surprise pregnancy trope and that Jade had to choose between herself and her pregnancy right after she had her double mastectomy

I'm simply speechless at this point. To say that this duology took me on a rollercoaster would be the understatement of the century! I can't believe this story has come to an end. I started missing Jade and Prescott already and I've only finished the duet a few minutes ago! 😭💔

It was fascinating to witness the character development for every single character in this story! Some of the characters I already knew from previous books in this amazing series ❤ the two leads felt too real to be fictional and that makes my heart ache at the idea of saying goodbye 💔 I knew Anna was good at what she did because I'd read her books before, but I can firmly state that in this duology she freaking outdone herself!!!

I can't count the number of times I've cried and laughed and everything in between while reading this story. I seriously felt part of it! Getting to see Prescott and Jade hit rock bottom and then be reborn from their ashes 😫 it was both heartbreaking and awfully pleasing ❤❤❤ this duology covers the subjects of : pain ( both physical and mental ), love, friendship, rivalry and hope which made every single page a real delight!

The author promised a happy ending which she spectacularly delivered! I completely lost my mind in that universe but the ending was so freaking worth it that I'd reread it all over again with no problem! Let me just tell you that this story isn't for the faint hearted, so make sure to check the TWs beforehand. I could keep on rambling for hours about how much I loved it but I know it wouldn't do it justice, and I'd end up spoiling it out for you so I'll let you experience it for yourselves!

This duet dealt with some pretty heavy subjects but personally I still never felt like it needed two books. I ended up skimming most of them because the angst was getting to be a little too much and sometimes I was just too impatient to get to a scene that was very clearly about to happen but we'd have multiple chapters of filler before we ever got to the scene.

I think this was just a me issue and I'd still recommend the duet to anyone that enjoys NA Angsty books.

Phew, what an emotional roller coaster of a story. This book wrecked me, totally. But my heart got slowly put back together. I yelled, I cursed, I cried two thirds of the book, before I could breathe normal again.
Jade & Cole are both on a journey that takes a whole lot from them, and it’s not an easy way.

Anna has outdone herself with this duet, and I am left speechless. It’s her best yet, but I’m sure there’s more to come! Respect and kudos to this amazing story! I’m in love with it, and I’m excited to read more.

Anna did it once again!!! She made me fall in love with every book written by her and this one tops it all!! The raw emotions shown in this book was so amazing!!! This book was like the best and scariest roller coaster ride ever!!!

The happiest scenes were at the highest and there was a steep drop at all the emotional scenes which I did not see coming.

This book starts right where the previous ended, that is Jade breaking her secret in front of her love, her brother and her best friend. They all were heartbroken to say the least. Nixon is the best brother she could ask for and given how the situation was in Kiss To Forget (Nixon's book) he had made his decision to be there for his sister this time around.

Jade is the strongest of all the FMC of Blairwood so far followed by Callie from Kiss To Conquer. (Penny is another badass who has her own book coming next year). The way she survived every curve ball thrown towards her, the way she managed herself and took care of herself first was so raw and so stunningly portrayed. The one scene that was repeated in this book as the one in Nix's had my heart go numb once again!! I did not want them to go through the same things once again, but here we are!!! Challenging them at every single step, growing stronger every second and finally overcoming every hard steps in their lives. I am in love with Jade and she is my baby!! Ever since she was introduced in KTF, I have adopted her and did not see this coming especially to her!!! This is reason I am still not ready to forgive you Anna, but I will eventually xD.

Prescott had it bad too, he had to go through everything he wen through in his teenage years. He went back to blaming himself for the situation Jade was in. He went through a ton of emotions all while handling his physical wellness. Ever since his knees were injured during football he was never the same and add on all the pressure of his family, his guilt towards Jade and Nix and himself!! The pressure got up to a point where he had to take a drastic measure which led him to lose the love of his life. Nixon and Prescott had the best bromance in this book. Spencer was another person who stayed by him and was there whenever he needed.

I don't have the right words to describe just how brilliant the book was, every chapter and every sentence written either broke my heart or made me happy and not to forget mended everything back up at the end.

The best book written by Anna so far. This is my favorite one of the entire series.

Kiss To Salvage by Anna B. Doe

Kiss To Salvage is book two in Shattered & Salvaged Duet. You need to read Kiss To Shatter in order to understand this book. This book continued where book one left with the cliffhanger. The main female character, Jade Cole dropped the bomb that shattered the hearts of her family and most especially the main male character Prescott Wentworth. This book is heavy, with dark mature themes, so take note of the trigger warnings.

I went reading this book prepared for all the emotions I will go through; this book is angst filled. I hurt and cried for Jade. Her life is one emotional roller coaster ride. She knew what’s in store for her, having lived through the horror of taking care of her mother. Prescott has his own trauma, and he is living in guilt, and the burden of it all was planted inside of him. Upon learning about Jade’s condition, he again felt that he was responsible, and he couldn’t live through it. These two had so many things to overcome and when I thought that things would go well, another thing comes along, and it was raw, intense, and heartbreaking. Their love is toxic, they gravitate towards each other, their love is insurmountable, despite that Anna gave me a happy ending. I love that she made the characters realized how they are meant to be, but they must accept their weaknesses and to call for help. I love the side characters; they were a great support system. This is such an emotional book; I admire the author for writing this type of story, that hurts the heart, but always, Love wins, and hope prevails. If you want a tear jerker book this is recommended.

Thank you to Anna for the ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you Anna for an ARC copy of this beautiful book in exchange for my honest review!

This book quite literally built me up, tore me down and then built me back up again - you can sense the rollercoaster of emotions going on in Jade and Prescott’s lives. They are everything for each other, so if one shatters, then so does the other.

Kiss to Salvage is the conclusion to the Shattered & Salvage duet and I really couldn’t have asked for anything more out of the book! The push and pull between Jade and Prescott was so well written. The pain, the sadness, the joy, the anger as these two perfectly imperfect people navigated through some of THE most difficult things that life can throw at you was just so tangible you could feel it. They were each others biggest fans and that was the one thing that never wavered no matter what happened between them and that’s something you don’t see too often.

I absolutely adore these characters - Anna could write their entire life story and I would want to read it. There’s just something so special about characters NOT being perfect and having real flaws that makes you want to keep cheering them on.

I know this review is pretty vague, but I don’t want to give anything away as you just have to read Jade and Prescott’s story to really feel it and believe it!
Make sure you read Kiss to Shatter before you read Kiss to Salvage otherwise they won’t make sense!

I hope you all love their story as much as I did ❤️🫶🏻

Kiss to Salvage by Anna B. Doe is the second part of the Shattered & Salvaged Duet and the seventh book in the Blairwood University Series. This is the continuation of Jade and Prescott’s story.

The last book ended with such a cliffhanger, and I was so excited to see how the story continues and this book really wrecked me, and I felt all the emotions. You see so much more of their demons and that was so difficult to read about as I felt for them and just wanted them to be happy. But happiness doesn’t come easily and Jade and Prescott both deal with so much and I just wanted to give them a hug or do anything to take away a bit of their pain. And even if they attempt to go a separate way, their paths just cross time and time again and they are just meant to be together and ultimately this book made them and their romance stronger.

And if you thought the first book was tugging on your heart strings, just wait until you read this one. The angst and emotions were on another level, and I felt everything with them and cried my eyes out and almost had a heart attack. And that’s just what an amazing book will do to you.

Overall, Kiss to Salvage destroyed me and put me back together and I’ll never forget Jade and Prescott’s story. 5 stars.

Wow. I am completely and utterly shocked. My heart has been ripped out of me. This was a grab to the heart novel. Emotions have been everywhere!

Jade is resilient in this novel. At the end of Kiss to Shatter, we discover some shocking news come to light. Throughout this novel she faces her demons and deals with the hardest year of her life. Everyday is a fight to live and survive.

Prescott is facing his own demons. He never knows what to do. His actions are extremely toxic. He is digging his own grave. Reality finally hits him near the end of the novel when he finally gives in to need help. He cleans up his act with help of his friends and Best Friend, Jades Brother, Nixon.

Together they are on and off. Now their relationship is out in the open. There is still spice and passion. However, there is also heartbreak and betrayal. They had to let go of each other for a while to grow and better themselves. I’m the end they finally get their Happily Ever After❤️ Amazing duet.

This book picks up right where part one left off at, and man, when this author wants to pack a punch, she definitely packs it. If you thought the first installment was emotional, grab some tissues and more chocolate because ya'll ain't ready.

Seeing as how this book is one big spoiler, especially if you haven't read book one, just know that these two will not let you go and will stay in your heart long after the last page is read. Prescott and Jade have so many obstacles against them and against themselves individually, and i loved how this didn't focus just on their relationship, but their own journey and individual growth so they could come together and truly be what the other needed.

Even with all the emotions, there's still an undeniable chemistry and pull that these two can't ignore, and I loved seeing them stop fighting it and just let fate take them where they were always supposed to be. I definitely recommend this emotional duet!!

Wow, I don't have words, even days after I’ve finished their book

this second part, the final part, was more heartbreaking than the first and I love that Anna gave us two books of them because Jade and Prescott have so much to tell and so much to fight for

Something that has Anna is that she builds some good characters and knows how to take advantage of their stories. It’s obvious that Jade and Prescott were going to end up together because here we only read romance if it ends well, but the two have a long way to go separately. The good thing is that they are never alone, because the other characters of the series comes into action and shows support.

Love reading Jade with Penny and Grace and how Spencer and Nixon never left Prescott alone.

Can't wait for Penny but I'm not ready to say goodbye to the characters and series, also...Anna I need Spencer's book!

Thank you for the arc!

I'm not entirely sure I can put into words how much I love this duet! This has EASILY become one of my favorite stories by Anna B. Doe!

I loved Jade before I even knew her story. She's been a great friend who loves fiercely. She's also had a tragic past that has carried into her present. And by the end of this duet, I loved her even more.

Prescott ...I really wanted to shake him sometimes, but he came through when he needed to.

Kiss To Salvage starts right where Kiss To Shatter left us and, without giving anything away, let me just say buckle up because Anna B. Doe takes us readers on one heck of an emotional rollercoaster. (Tissues, wine, and chocolates are highly recommended!)

I urge any readers to read Kiss To Share and Kiss To Salvage without any spoilers. I also would recommend reading the series prior - especially Kiss To Forget, because that's where Jade is first introduced and gives us a better understanding of her world and what she's been through.

I highly, highly recommend this duet!

I didn't think it was possible to fit that many tropes into a book, but I stand corrected! What a wild ride (& not in a good way). This was rough. Almost everything that happened was so unbelievable and then something even more insane would happen. Just in book one we have brother best friend, college, sports, a pill addict, asshole parents, dead mom (caner), dead brother (cancer), and more cancer. Then in this one we get . Not to mention all the academic & sports stuff thrown in - partying too much, grades, asshole football coach. It was a lot. I do not recommend. Also given all the topics touched in this book maybe throw in a trigger warning in the beginning just in case?

The day I met the star wide receiver, he was acting like a grumpy ass, and I was so over big, bulky men messing with my life. He was gorgeous, with wide shoulders, a chiseled jaw hidden behind a week’s worth of scruff, and the meanest glare I've seen in my life. So what if he was injured during a game? At least he's alive, not that he appreciates it.

Now it's a new school year, but some things never change.

Like the sizzling tension between Prescott and me every time we’re in the same room. But the more we fight, the more I want to shut him up. With my mouth.

Then he sees me on a date with someone else, and something in him snaps.

The deal is simple: it's just sex, and nobody can ever find out. Especially not my brother.

But then the demons from my past come back to haunt me. The darker they become, the more I need Prescott. And I’m beginning to feel like he needs me too.

I was provided an ARC of this book via the author, all opinions are my own.

This is the second book in the two part duet featuring Jade and Prescott. You need to start with Kiss To Shatter as this picks up where that leaves off. You can read the duet without having read the other books in the series though. Though it isn't necessary, I would recommend reading Nixon and Yasmin's story in Kiss To Forget as Nixon is a big part of this story and the events of that book shapes Jade in many ways for the events in her own books.

This was pretty emotional and dealt with alot of the topics that I had issues with in the first book. We get all of the answers to those loose ends that were left open at the end of the first book and so much more. Jade suspects she has breast cancer, but she's been ignoring it because after watching her mother go through it she knows what it means for her life. She finally gets herself to the doctor and starts talking treatment options. Her road to recovery isn't easy or pretty, but I think the author did a good job humanizing how brutal treatment is for a cancer patient. Every single day is a fight, and we go through it with Jade on her good days and on her really bad ones. Prescott has his own demons to deal with as he has unresolved family trauma and a nagging knee injury as the football season comes to a close. He not only puts immense pressure on himself to perform on the field and in school and his parents put pressure on him to fill the shoes of someone he can never be. He and Jade try to make things work as the season comes to a close and Jade begins treatment, but they continually hurt each other as a protection mechanism. Fortunately for both of them they have a wonderful group of friends to support them through their darkest hours and challenge them when they are being unreasonable.

I thought the author did a really good job wrapping up the loose threads by the time we got to the end of this book. Jade and Prescott are not the same two people they were when we started this journey at the beginning of Kiss to Shatter. Their characters have come so far and grown so much. We got to see them both hit rock bottom before they were able to ask for the help they needed. We also got to see them achieve great things. There were quite a few angsty moments throughout, but they were necessary to move the character development along and I think that was done nicely to get Jade and Prescott to first fight their own needs then fight for each other.

As with the first book in the duet, I would definitely check trigger warnings for this one. You can find them on the author's page here. This book/duet has a lot going on, so I'd steer clear if you are triggered by these things.

Overall I really enjoyed this duet. It is on the longer side and it deals with some heavy subjects, but it is very engaging and doesn't feel long and has good pacing. I'm very much looking forward to Penny's book and what Anna has instore for the Blairwood crew in the future.

Kiss to Salvage by Anna B. Doe is the second book in the Shattered & Salvaged Duet. But overall this is book 7 in the Blairwood University series.

Jade and Prescott’s story basically blew up at the end of the Kiss to Shatter, which left me needing book two. I had hope that these two would get their HFN…and they do.

There’s so much I want to say about this book. But I really feel that it’s a story that needs to be read without influence.

Kiss to Salvage is a brother's best friend, college sports romance, but it is so much more than that. Book one was filled with emotion, secrets and angst and that continues in book two, but this time those secrets are revealed and it’s time for both Jade and Prescott to heal and have a chance at life and love. But nothing is easy and if they truly want a chance at happiness they both have to work for it and grow, both alone and together.

The note in regards to triggers I felt is key to this book and duet, as there is a lot that both Jade and Prescott experience.

Oh and maybe have a box of tissues on hand for this one, cause they’ll be plenty of tears as the emotions rise off each page.

“Kiss to Salvage” is a remarkable book. I truly cannot describe it in any other way. The writing, the characters, the development are all aspects of the story that I enjoyed. After finishing, I had such a warm feeling in my chest that decided my rating for me.

Let me back up a bit.

Have you ever read a book that deeply connects with you? Not necessarily because you relate to the characters, but because you see pieces of yourself throughout the characters themselves? That is how I felt reading this book. I don’t have cancer and my partner isn’t a football player, but I still saw pieces of myself, of us, in each character.

“Kiss to Salvage” picks up right where book one ends. If you thought things would be smooth sailing now that the news is out, boy are you mistaken. Don’t forget, this couple started out as enemies, and there will be bumps along the road for them. They fight each other constantly but, at the end of the day, are still drawn to one another. Their development was done very well, despite the back and forth dance they did for so long. I also appreciated how the side characters played just as pivotal a role in the storyline as the main characters. As an interconnected series this isn’t uncommon to see, but is something I still love. I say this in just about every review, but I love interconnected series!

A fantastic, emotional novel. I will most definitely be reading Doe’s backlog in the coming weeks.

This book starts where Kiss to Shatter ended. They most be read in order. There are some triggers in this one as well. Jade and Prescott are two damaged souls who gravitate toward one another. As much as they try to stay away from one another, the pull to be together is just so strong. As much as Jade tries to push him away. Deep down she needs him. He’s her light. And Prescott likes to run when things get hard. But there’s something about the other that brings them back together. Could it be they have something so heart wrenching in their pasts in common? This book will definitely have you grabbing the tissue box. Or grabbing a bottle of wine. But it will sink it’s claws right into you and won’t let go. Anna did another amazing job writing about some pretty heavy stuff. This book makes up a duet but is amongst the Blairwood series. The other books do not need to be read first, but Kiss to a Shatter and Kiss to Salvage need to be read back to back. Such a great pair of books and I can’t wait for more. Loved it!

Jade realizes that the time has come to share the fight she has in front of her not only to Prescott but to her brother and friends as well. As much as she doesn’t want to face it she knows that she must focus on herself and that means that she and Prescott must distance themselves from each other as being together will only devastate them both.

Prescott is shattered by Jade’s news and choose to deal with it in self destructive ways by focusing on football before he is ready and withdrawing from his friends however they are not about to let that happen. This forces him to take a harsh look at the situation and the love he has for Jade and realize that being apart is only making the pain worse for both of them.

The emotional ups and downs that Jade and Prescott are dealing with have you hoping that Jade and Prescott will find their way back to each other and recapture the love that is stronger than ever. Their friends are there for them individually and as a couple which only makes the story that much better.

When our hearts got shattered and destroyed, we have all been waiting not so patiently to see where these two beautiful souls take us. Jade and Prescott find themselves in impossible situations that can seem so helpless, but with the right mindset and support can make a world of difference yet learning to call on help is a whole different story. It takes a lot to make me cry unless I’m furious, but when it comes to feeling helpless and sad, I contain a lot, but this book had me teary eyed crying snot flying tears. (Sorry not a pretty sight but man the emotions the author brought out was so visceral). Jade is a beauty with her incredible strength even at moments when things looked dismal, she found an inner strength, especially when she realized calling on others for help isn’t a weakness. Prescott’s demons hurt my heart because I’ve seen these demons in person and it's not a pretty sight, but I was so relieved that when he reached the bottom, he looked in the mirror he knew it was time to stop this cycle. This story hits all the highs, the lows, the in between. Beautifully broken, deeply in love, and somewhat toxic this love is a love you can’t help but adore.

Kiss to Salvage is the continuation of Jade and Prescott’s story and takes place right after the events of Kiss to Shatter.

I was highly anticipating the conclusion to this duet after the cliffhanger from Kiss to Shatter and Anna B. Doe did not disappoint. This book was a rollercoaster of emotions. There were sad, heartbreaking moments, yet this story was inspirational.

I loved Jade and Prescott together and the journey to these two broken people coming together was so beautifully written. I was rooting for these two and they did. Together these two are stronger. I can’t wait to read more by Anna B. Doe!

What to expect:
💗 Enemies to Lovers
💗 Brother’s Best Friend
💗 College Romance

This duet is a whole ride!! The absolute best kind. We got the HEA, but we really went through it to get there. I laughed, I cried, and I hate that this is the end of Jade and Prescotts books! 😩

This book picks up right where the last book left off, and after that cliffhanger I am so glad it did!

The character development is unmatched. They really go through so much and come out the other side, better people and a better couple for it.

I know this review isn’t giving all the details, but it is simply something you have to experience for yourself. Anna simply did the damn thing 👏🏻

I did not think I could love Jade and Prescott anymore than I did in Kiss to Shatter book one in this duet but I did. My love for this couple really grew stronger with this book. Jade's diagnosis brought her and Prescott together. Which I have to say that I could emotionally connect with Jade. My mom was diagnosed with the same thing in March of this year. The treatment helped and she is on the journey to recovery.

The angsty romantic tension throughout this book was so, so good. It is what kept me reading. While Jade and Prescott were the main characters of this book, I do have to give a shout out to Nixon. Jade's brother. He was doing what he does best and being brother even if he got on Jade's nerves. If you love a heart story that will pull at your heartstrings, you have to read this duet.
