Blair Babylon is the nom de plume of an award-winning, USA Today-bestselling author who used to publish literary fiction. Because professional reviews of her other fiction usually included the caveat that there was too much deviant sex and too much interesting plot, she decided to abandon all literary pretensions, let her freak flag fly, and write hot, sexy, erotic romance.
The author just blew Gen's assault premise out of the water! Her deep throat action ended it. No victim of a sexual assault with her level of fear would be able to do that. Plus she knows what to do! So how did she get the experience if she's so afraid of men? I also didn't like the submissive/dominate relationship Arthur thinks will help her overcome her problem. Gen is an intelligent woman who's got hang-ups about her body and sex. That would not be the way to help her overcome either condition. An occasional day of playing at s/d roles in a relationship is okay but not for weeks or days. That won't build a healthy relationship. Ms. Babylon would have had a better story if she eliminated most of the over the top sexual stuff, done more editing, and put what was left of the story into ONE book. Then perhaps she would have had a best seller.

For some how I missed this book in the series in its correct order. After reading it, it explained so much of what I had missed. It was great all the same!
Bought this book as I thought I had missed one, but it turns out it is the 2nd half of stiff drink repeated. I re-read stiff drink to remind myself what had happened, then started Hot toddy and it was word for word the same as the 2nd half of Stiff Drink. Annoyed that I wasted money on what I thought was a new book. I love Blair's books and I don't know what happened here. Did she originally write a big book then decide to split it in two, but my copy of Stiff Drink includes Hot Toddy. So this was a waste of money.
