My god—aren’t I glad I bought the physical copy of this beauty? Now I get to pull it off the shelf and reread it whenever I feel like romantic fluff, emotionally mature characters, and, let’s be honest, very pretty faces.
The artwork? Drop-dead gorgeous. Every page is frame-worthy. I genuinely paused mid-read just to appreciate the detail. (Yes, even the linework. Yes, I’m that person now.)
The story? Surprisingly grounded and grown-up, which made me love the characters even more. And Puppy Seunghyun?? The CUTEST. My kingdom for a coworker like him. Where do I apply? Seriously, the fictional workplace benefits must include emotional support puppies in human form.
I’m now crossing my fingers that more of Moscareto’s work gets translated because I need more of this art in my life. Stat.
In short: 10/10, would reread while curled up in bed, preferably with snacks and unrealistic expectations of future coworkers.

The ending felt a bit rushed on this one. I would have preferred less of a nepotism themed conclusion, but this is bl, so I can’t expect too much.

último volumen de 10, me gustó además que fue una historia de solo 3 volúmenes, y que no había nada de tóxico entre los dos. A veces es refrescante alejarse de las actitudes tóxicas y/o abusivos que tantas veces encontramos en el BL.
Estoy deseando ver ahora el kdrama aunque ni modo es tan picante como el manhwa, no me importaría ver una adaptación tailandesa la verdad.

Remembering now why I don't really consider this a top favorite manhwa. The final volume honestly got a little bit boring.
The big drama here is that Seunghyun gets rejected during what should've been an absolute shoe-in of an interview process, due to Mr. Choi pulling some strings with a friend of his who was on a particularly crucial panel. Kim Jongchan sets out to fix it, furious with himself and with the company for clipping Seunghyun's wings due to something that wasn't his fault. After all, the only reason he failed the first round was because of petty office politics with people who hate Kim Jongchan for his success.
I...didn't fully get all of the reorganizing that happened as a result. Honestly, my eyes kind of glazed over during the business talk, because it just wasn't conveyed in a very interesting way. Kim Jongchan shows up at the CEO's house to ask for the promotion he's spent years turning down, which was somehow part of the reason for everyone resenting him. He was far more qualified and talented than the people (like Mr. Choi) who were technically his work superiors, which made them itchy with insecure jealousy.
Except he accepts a transfer to the sales department, since the CEO can't boot Mr. Choi out to replace him with Kim Jongchan...plus he doesn't want to give Kim Jongchan the opening to "form his own gang." But then he ends up creating a new team that's of equal status to Mr. Choi's, promoting Kim Jongchan to team lead, and letting him transfer over other employees at will (like Jiyeon) and hire contractors (like Seunghyun, who can't be an official employee until the next year's open recruitment, but who can be paid an employee-level contractor wage until then).
So how was this not forming his own gang??
The story cuts off short there, with Seunghyun and Kim Jongchan being happy that they can continue working together, but with nothing at work truly resolved, because they still have to interact with the jerks who put them in this position to begin with. Plus they have to pull in new clients and come up with new projects, which is all just glossed over as something Kim Jongchan will easily be able to handle.
(Confusingly, I swear I remembered a plotline where Kim Jongchan's clients all kicked up a fuss and wanted to stay with him, or follow him to another agency he formed for himself, but I must be remembering another story. I guess they start to meld together after a while.)
One thing that annoys me about manhwa as a genre is that the main story so often "ends" before the actual ending...which comes in a "side story" that can be fairly crucial to the primary plot. After four side stories that are just...a single long smut scene...we get a final chapter that jumps forward in time a bit, with Jiyeon finally finding out that Seunghyun and Kim Jongchan are dating, and a quick summary of other work upheavals that've happened in the meantime.
Like Mr. Choi getting booted out after all, for fraud, and the CEO (I think?) being let go in a round of executive team layoffs. Which is a wild thing to include for no particular reason. If the company was this volatile then why didn't Seunghyun and Kim Jongchan just split off and go somewhere else?
It is still a decent story, and the earlier chapters have some really good stuff, but this conclusion just overall wasn't my favorite. Plus all the smutty scenes were shading more into the "no I don't like it" "quiet, I can tell you actually do" exchanges that I don't particularly love. I did like the moments of tenderness that were mixed in, and I wish there'd been a lot more of that. That was the dynamic I'd liked so much with these two.

Not a huge fan of the side stories but I did like some parts of it. Overall, I’m happy with the story despite the confusing parts about their jobs towards the end of the main story. As long as I get fluff and happiness I’m easy to please. Hehe.

La historia fue separada en tres volúmenes pero yo voy a hacer una sola reseña para todas las partes.
Me gustó la historia pero fue un poco aburrida. La pareja principal es muy cute y ambos tienen muy buena química pero todo el tema empresarial fue extremadamente tedioso, la verdad es que me salte la mayoría de las páginas que trataban de charlas laborales. Mi otro problema fue que le faltó angst y drama porque el plot principal de la historia llega a su punto más alto y te quedas como: “¿eso es todo?” “¿Este va a ser todo el problema que van a tener que enfrentar?” meh.
Al final voy a terminar olvidándome de este libro muy pronto.

Después de haber vivido durante muchos años un amor no correspondido, el joven Woo Seunghyun ha estado luchando para olvidarse de ese chico que le rompió el corazón, sin saberlo, en su época de universitario. Ahora, siendo becario en el Equipo de Planificación 1 de la empresa de sus sueños, el destino caprichoso ha querido que se fije en su jefe, el señor Kim, un hombre adicto al trabajo que puede ser muy estricto, pero que en realidad lo que busca es que todos hagan un buen trabajo y que lo que tanto disfruta haciendo salga bien.
Por su parte, el señor Kim, poco a poco ve el talento de Seunghyun y no tarda en protegerlo de los abusos de otros departamentos, los cuales quieren aprovecharse de él solo porque es un becario. Pero las cosas no acaban en simple protección, sino que un sentimiento que nada tiene que ver con lo profesional está haciendo mella en Jongchan al igual que en el joven e inexperto becario.
Siendo virgen, sin haber tenido una relación y con su amiga diciéndole que deje de ser un mojigato y que pille rabo, el batiburrillo de sentimientos de Seunghyun hace que este termine cayendo ante el carisma, la amabilidad y la fascinación que siente por el señor Kim, sucumbiendo al placer de sus besos, de su roce, de su cuerpo. Es la primera vez que tiene novio y, aunque se había jurado no tener un romance de oficina para no repetir lo que le ocurrió en la universidad, la sinceridad de los sentimientos del señor Kim (y los suyos propios) hacen que Seunghyun quiera intentar tener una romance adulto con ese hombre del cual se está enamorando muy fuertemente de forma irremediable.
Y es que, con el señor Kim, Seunghyun está descubriendo un mundo de placeres desconocidos para él, un universo en el que sus cuerpos hablan, se mezclan, se estremecen y arden entre lujuriosos fluidos llenos de amor y de deseo. Ahora que Seunghyun está preparándose para las entrevistas de trabajo que está organizando la Empresa AR para contratación de personal, sus días están llenos de Jongchan, el cual no solamente lo está ayudando a prepararse para que sea el nuevo fichaje de la empresa con todas las de la ley después del trabajo en su departamento, sino que, con estos encuentros, ambos están afianzando su relación al conocerse mejor, intimar más en lo privado y no solamente a través del sexo, sino que se están conociendo mejor en lo que se refiere a sus psicologías.
Preparado, aunque nervioso, el día de la entrevista llega y Seunghyun lo da todo para conseguir el puesto que tanto desea y para no defraudar a su novio, el cual no ha dejado de ayudarlo para que consiguiera su sueño: entrar en AR como un nuevo empleado y no solo como un becario durante un periodo de tiempo.
Pero este sueño se trunca, y cuando el señor Kim averigua por qué Seunghyun no ha conseguido el puesto descubre que todo es un entramado contra él, contra su actitud y por el miedo que otros directivos y jefes le tienen por ser el mejor publicista de la empresa y estar en un puesto intermedio que le da demasiado poder. Sintiéndose terriblemente culpable por ser la horma en el zapato de su novio, de la persona que más ama, Jongchan toma una drástica decisión. Ya es hora de ocupar el puesto que por derecho le corresponde.
Llegando al culmen de la historia, el final de El nuevo empleado no podría ser más redondo y perfecto, manteniendo el confort en todo momento, la erótica y una relación preciosa, sana y sin toxicidad en un romance adulto que no solamente te cuenta una relación sentimental entre dos hombres, sino también cómo son las grandes corporaciones en Corea del Sur, el clasismo que hay y que la realidad es que la cultura del esfuerzo es una falacia mundial.

“I like you. How could I not when it’s someone like you?” Those words made me tear up. I loved that bath scene more than any other scene in this series.
It’s amazing when the person you love, loves you back.
Overall, I enjoyed this series. I loved that Seungyhun was a more passive character. I can relate to that. And Jongchan was so protective. I really loved that about him! That and that he loved Seunghyun for who he is and didn’t try to change him. Lots of series with a shy, quiet or passive main character, always make it seem like they need to change.. They need to “work on it” “be better” etc. What if that’s just them?? Not everyone is an aggressive go getter. The world is more fun if we aren’t all the same!!!!

This is one I've just seen all over Instagram and Facebook, and I had a good time reading it. It's a lot of fun and very gay, with a lot of workplace dynamics. It's a very quick and easy read, and it didn't have too much substance to it. Also, obviously if this was to happen in real life there's obviously the issue of someone sleeping with their boss, so morally this isn't the best story but, with comics like this I never take them too seriously in terms of things like that. So overall this is a very fun and quick read.

Man oh man so I finally wrapped up on this series. I gotta say it has made it to being one of my favorite bl series I’ve read recently. From the office work being portrayed to the romance between the characters it’s all been so fun and so cute. Mr.Kim really loves Seunghyun so much he was willing to do whatever it takes to make sure his man got the job he deserved. Also the 🌶️ was like at a high but also sweet and tender. Totally recommend if you love office romance

Seunghyun you make me want to become a better man.
This series needed to be longer. The office drama finally happened where Jongchan's enemies went after Seunghyun. This is how I knew I would never fit in a corporate office. All that politics and drama is so unnecessary.
The final volume was probably the spiciest. And the bonus scene was 🔥

I actually *loved* this series. It was sort of quiet and mundane in a way that felt very different from a lot of the other BL webtoons I've read, and I actually really liked that. Both MCs were sweet and appropriately complex, and I loved their relationship. To be honest, I actually wish there was more of this! I could read a million side stories about these two <3

La verdad es que tengo un amor-odio con los romances de oficina o donde uno de la pareja es el jefe del otro, principalmente por el abuso de poder que se pudo ver al principio de este manhwa. A pesar de esto, me gustó y siento que se logró mejorar la comunicación, por lo que eventualmente terminé enamorada una vez más xd.

cute read. not problematic considering it's an office romance. i just dont like the plot where they basically have the same ex, if you know what i mean. also the "dont have experience" and "have experienced" duo is so not my cup of tea these days. or since forever.

Sunghyun decide aplicar por un puesto en AR, y Jongchan lo ayuda a estudiar, sin embargo la envidia se hace presente y termina afectando a Sunghyun por lo que Jongchan toma una decisión que cambiara su futuro.
