Wow, what can I say. This book in the series went in a little different direction with the focus on Nell and not just the "monsters" Hux fights. This book explains a little more about who Nell is and how she ended up with "cosmic blood" in her. As if zombies aren't bad enough, this book has ice zombies.

This was good vs evil, edge of your seat kind of story. There was even some tragedy thrown in. I am a huge fan of this series and can not wait until the next installment is released.

These can be read as stand alone stories but it is so much better reading the series from the start. Great job Abe Moss!!!

While Tessa is doing a memory charm for a woman named Annamarie. She sees a baby that she knows is Nell. The next thing she knows her hand, Nell and her ability is gone. She must draw a job and all family remedy to help find the foster girl she has come to love. The whole house feels different with her absence. At the same time poor Nell it’s taken to a remote cabin on the side of a mountain and although other people are there she is confronted with a man that claims to be her long lost father. Despite the new familial ties she knows she cannot trust him nor Annamarie who just gives her a creepy feeling all together. Will hux be able to find her and will Tess’s ability come back? She knows her father wants something from her and it can’t be good. What she doesn’t know is how the hell she’s going to get out of there. This book was so so good!I love Abe Moss’s books and can’t get enough of the series. I highly recommend these books and have loved each one of them. I am always anxiously waiting for the next book to come out and then feverishly read until I am done. If only Mr. Moss could ride faster.

Just when everything seems to be falling into place for Nell, she’s violently abducted from Tessie’s house and taken to a freezing mountain location where evil lurks in the dark.
Lisa, Tessie – who was horribly mutilated during the attack - and Hux desperately try to find out what happened to Nell. But Tessie seems to have lost all of her powers..
On the Bitter Horizon is the 4th book in a chilling and imaginative series by horror author Abe Moss. He creates a unique universe, and great characters with all of their fears and emotions. Another amazing book in this thrilling series. What a page-turner!
I received a preview copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing.

Book 4...WOW!

This book did not disappoint!! I had to force myself to pace my reading otherwise I would have finished it in a day (and I would have called in sick to do it!) Abe Moss has created an amazing series with The Dread Void. In this book we learn a bit more about Nell and her parentage. We find out just what Lisa is made of as well as more of Tessie's background. We are also introduced to some unsavory characters that I have a feeling we'll see again. This book was edge of your seat thrills, pretty much non-stop. If you haven't read this series, you need to do it now! Highly recommend!!

Painless amputation.......???!!!!

Absolutely love this series of Abe Mosses books And I'm addicted to reading them all I do have to say that when Tessie got her arm chopped off in this book it is absolutely ridiculous that she did not scream or even act like she was in any pain when the amputation of a limb is one of the most severe pains in the human experience and it lasts from 4-8 weeks to heal up..... Forgivable for the storyline I guess but I can't help but to keep dwelling on it, lol!

An insane quest by a deranged cult

Tessie is shocked by a client's invasion of her home in their search for Nell. While Tessie and Lisa narrowly escape death, Nell is taken by the client who belongs to a cult. Who is Nell and what is their purpose for the abduction? Will Tessie be able to find her? A story which had me on the edge of my seat. A page turner which had me glued right from the start. Recommended.

I absolutely loved this 4th book of the series. Nell is taken by her “father” and a group of people exploring and looking for a treasure. She is taken to the cold north to use her special gift to help them, against her will. Her friends try to use their own special gifts to get her back. It was so exciting, all the way to the end. I hope there is more coming.

I received a free copy in exchange of an honest review.

Another fantastic adventure with Nell and her friends

Another riveting adventure with Nell, Hux, Lisa and Tessie. Nell gets kidnapped by someone who claims to be her father. He sent his ruthless partner Ann Marie to get her. Poor Tessie suffered the consequences of not telling them where Nell was. She was taken on a trip to a mysterious mountain to get some kind of magical artifact. Then all hell breaks loose...can her friends save Nell in time?

I believe that Nell has found her forever home and is delighted. I thought the storyline was very well done and this iis my opinin. And it kept me reading it from the very beginning to the very end. The character built up was very well done and imaginable in my opinion. I received this book for free thru an Advanced Review Copy, ARC, with an honest review freely given.

The Dread Void

Solid 4th book in The Dread Void series. Loved how the story picks up and gets into the new story. Strong main characters and a particularly scary new one. Fast paced, strong plot and easy to follow. Looking forward to the next book to see where the characters end up. Really enjoy the author's writing style.

Grateful to have found this series

Abe Moss continues to impress, with his vast imagination and ability to devise a uniquely creative sci-fi/horror setting and story. One thing I am so amazed by is how Moss makes each book different in plot without losing the larger overall storyline, character development, etc.

Intriguing Series

Supernatural horror stories that scare the heck out of you and me! Book four was a bit too gory for me but I am invested and interested in the characters enough that I will buy book five. The writing is superb.

Great Ending!

I really enjoyed this series of books and hate to see it end.
Abe Moss builds the tension and doesn’t fail to deliver.
Nell is once again thrown into a chaotic situation.

LOVE every one of the books in this series. Hate what happens to Tessie in this one and Claude. Claude was a likeable character, even if he ended up being part of the cult. Each book brings the 4 MCs closer together to resemble a family. Which brings more humanity back into Hux.

This is a train I never want to get off of. I did an alright job keeping up with Abe Moss’s releases as they were coming out, but I took a small break and now I’m back.

It was really nice to check in with these characters and I can’t wait to see where this series goes.

4 books too long.

I am sorry I spent the time to read this series. The ending of it was only sad without any resolution to the heroine's identity issues.
