This was a short quick read. Andy knows that Mateo is keeping something from her Andy is also in love with Mateo. With Andy and Mateo’s wedding day soon approaching things begin to heat up between these two. Their chemistry is hot but Andy keeps denying her feelings for him. Mateo has made his feelings known earlier in this series but Andy thought he was just going along with the plan but he is not just playing along. Mateo will do anything to protect Andy. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I just loved this third installment of Andy and Mateo's story.

After the 'engagement party' cliffhanger in book 2, Andy becomes even more confused by Mateo's feelings, is he still playing along or are these now his true feelings showing through? Their relationship continues to be off the charts and you can't help but be drawn into this story, rooting for them throughout. I love how Mateo continues to try and protect Andy from the secrets of her past but Andy senses deep down that something is being hidden however, after the terrible history between her parents and her ex, who can she really trust? Just as she starts to trust the right person, her world is turned upside down and we are yet again left with a major tease of a cliff hanger! I am so excited to read book 4.

If you love a gripping, hot and steamy Mafia romance that ticks all the boxes and then some, you really should read this whole series from the start, you will not be disappointed.

Mateo is trying to get to the truth for Andy

Mateo is having more feelings for Andy. She asked him to marry her. He said he would. Her parents thought they could talk her into marrying Mark Whitlock. They all have been doing terrible things for a long time. Money laundering, sex trafficking and anything evil.
Mateo stood up to her parents at a brunch at their home. He told them he wasn't going anywhere and he was going to marry Andy.
Dario and Mateo are making plans to take Mark down.
Mateo is having problems explaining how he knows that her brother Kyle was murdered. Kyle, at one time, was friends with Mark. After he raped Andy and ruined her life, she was disowned by her parents. Now, they want her to do as they say.
Andy feels everyone has betrayed her.
Mateo proposed to Andy for real, but she didn't know that. She thinks it is part of the ruse.
Once she finds out his investigation into her family, she leaves him at the altar.
She's out for revenge on Mark Whitlock for killing Kyle.
Can't wait to see what happens next.

With Andy and Mateo’s wedding day soon approaching things begin to heat up between these 2. Their chemistry is smoking hot and Andy is denying her feelings for him. Mateo has made his feelings known earlier in this series but Andy thought he was just going along with the plan but he is not just playing along. When he plans a nice dinner after returning home from a week away from her, he will blow your socks off at what he does. Will Andy believe his intentions or is this all just for show. What will happen when the secrets Mateo has been keeping regarding Andy’s brother come out?
Mya Grey never ceases to amaze me with her books. I love her style of writing and how she can keep you wanting more. I need book 4 like yesterday. I have to know what direction she will take us in next.

I’m teetering on the edge of my seat at this point. Book 3 is more hot and steamy Andy and Matteo, but there’s also secrets and lies. Matteo really loves Andy and she’s stubborn, damaged, and too scared to realize or accept that fact because of people like her parents and Mark Whitlock. Matteo has learned some very critical information that he should have shared with Andy, but decided to keep it to himself for his own selfish reasons knowing it could very well explode in his face. What is going to happen with the impending nuptials? Can their relationship survive? Will Andy’s heart ever heal?

I’m so anxious for book 4! These two are just as bad as Dario and Nikki were with their communication, but I hope Andy doesn’t do anything crazy. ((bites nails nervously))

This book had me hooked from the start, right to the very last word! I gotten so invested in Mateo and Andy's story.

This book had it all. Suspense, action, chemistry that could start a Forrest fire, so many sizzling hot scenes, and so much more. Mateo and Andy belong together ❤️, they just have to deal with the diabolical black cloud named Mark. I absolutely love to hate his character! Mya has written him so well and I really look forward to what he will get up to in the next books. I also look forward to learning more about Andy's brother Kyle, and just how deep into his father's business he was. This series just keeps getting better!

This book ended on another fantastic cliffhanger and I am eager to find out what happened. I need to know what happens next!

I literally screamed at my iPad at the end! what a heck of a cliffhanger. This is book 3 of an amazing series, Andi and Mateo really are a great couple, love that we get both povs and it’s rare to read that the MC is the one sure of his feelings and voices them ,and it’s the FMC that keeps her feelings to herself. This book is engaging, intense and blooming hot, their passion is on fire and so is their stamina. I am desperate for book 4,intrigued to find what Andis up to. Mateo, you really messed up mate!! You can feel something is brewing and I’m rooting for her parents and evil Mark to get their comeuppance, despicable people. This keeps getting better and better.

Smart, Sexy, and oh so Tragic

Andy Carter is in love with Mateo Ricci, but she just can't seem to tell him. When she gets the guts to say it, he turns her world upside down.

This series has everything in it. Heartache over a past full of lies is going to tear Andy into pieces. Mateo is trying his best to shield Andy from that horror, but she knows something is wrong. Her parents are evil, her ex-boyfriend is evil, and now she thinks Mateo is evil as well. Who can she trust?

Each book delves deeper into Andy and Mateo's world. And each story breaks your heart a little each time. Can they find each other and actually say they love each other? I hope so!!!

Mya the ending of this book killed me, but what an amazing cliffhanger. Andy and Mateo are so amazing and the way they both think has my heart twisting. I devoured this book in two hours because I could not put it down. After reading the first two books, it was hard to read other books without thinking about Andy and Mateo and now after reading this I have a feeling it is going to be even harder to think of anything else until I get the next book! Thank you for writing this amazing story and I can not wait to continue reading Andy and Mateo's story.

Great 3rd installment of Andy & Mateo’s story. I loved the way this starts when Andy’s horrible nemesis shows up at the ‘engagement’ party – only to have his backside handed to him by the three brothers: Mateo, Dario & Raoul. The reader is left in no doubt, though, that this is not the end of the problem! Liked the way it is Andy who guards her feelings, whilst hunky Mateo is up-front about his emotions. This part of the story finishes on a wow of a cliff-hanger, teasing the reader to anticipate the next book. A good read, but you need to read the previous two books first.

Mateo tells Andy he loves her and is going to marry her. Andy thinks he is just acting to keep her parents and Mark Whitlock at bay. Mark is still being a jerk and claiming that Andy has to marry him as payment for her father’s debt.

Andy is upset that the marriage is just a sham because she realizes she loves Mateo.

Will she go through with the wedding? Will either of them reveal their true feelings for the other one? Will Mark Whitlock find a way to stop the wedding?

This series is just as fast paced as Dario and Nikki’s story.

Wow, things get more interesting in this book. More secrets get revealed and that horrible monster Mark gets out in his place. But he is upto something, as he has been quite.
Mateo and Andy continue to fight their real feelings and struggle to express themselves.
Although their chemistry is so hot 🔥, I wish they could just be honest with each other.
Unfortunately just before the wedding Andy finds out Mateo's secret. It ends in a sad cliffhanger but what is the real reason for this no show?
I can't wait for next book, i need it asap.

Wow, what a great book! I couldn't put it down. I love these two strong, sex crazed lovers. Both Andy and Mateo stand up for what they believe in. In this third book they get to know each other and just when everything seems to fall into place, another cliffhanger! Why can't they just communicate their feelings!?! My heart was breaking for both of them. I love the drama, mystery and intrigue in this story. Great job Mya Grey! I just can't wait for book 4.

The book starts after Mateo & Andy arrive at their engagement party which continues to blur the emotional lines of their fake relationship. Without giving any spoilers, Andy learns of the knowledge that Mateo has been hiding and the book ends at, what is supposed to be, their ‘fake wedding’. Excited to read the next installment of their story!

Even though Mateo proposed, Andy is afraid that he’s just pretending as part of their agreement to keep the enemies away. Will there be a wedding? Andy is in love with Mateo, but she's not without doubts. As many times as he tells her he loves her, she thinks there's something he's not telling her. Or is it keeping away from her. He isn't giving her any real reason to doubt him, especially not with the way he shows her how much he loves her. But she's not entirely wrong. Mateo hasn't shared what he knows about her family and, when the truth comes out, how will she react? I guess we're going to find out in the next book!

Andy and Mateo!

Oh man Mateo sure has alot of explaining to Andy,so much that she doesn't show up for the wedding and she breaks his heart.He really cares and loves her but she doesn't see that.Andy feels like she was being used like always by men.Sure hope Mateo can make her understand what he has been doing for her since he has met her and that he really and truly loves and cares for her.This batch of books are my favorite by far!

I loved Andy in the previous books and I loved this book. She wanted Mateo but not for a relationship. Fate had another idea. Their fake engagement comes complete with org@sms like she’s never had. There is also secrets Andy has kept since her teens and the monster is back and has bought her for millions of dollars from her father. This book has nasty parents, a monster with money and prestige, love, lots of steam and love. It’s a wild ride so buckle up and hang on.

lies of omission

Blaze is book three in the second part of the series Brutal Kings by author Mya Grey. WOW ok this one gets deep- both are trying to protect themselves but are doing a horrible job of it. Sometimes I want to reach through the pages and shake a character- “can’t you see”.
Anywho, so some truth comes out and everything goes to hell. Reminds me a bit of the movie- Runaway Bride. :)

Why would Andy run knowing Mark is after her? Why did Andy not talk to Mateo? Why leave him at the alter? Dosen't she realize that Mateo really loves her? Love the book. The drama that Mateo is going through on his own will keep you going. Add in Andy's drama (Mark, family, and Mateo) it is unbelievable. Could not put the book down and waiting anxiously for the next one.

This has been an enjoyable journey so far with our main couple forging closer bonds and overcoming challenges together. We have dual POV, which helps readers to understand our characters better and see everything from their perspectives. The action and intense drama are nonstop and that cliffhanger! I absolutly love the 2nd Brutal King series. Mateo is my new favorite man. I had hoped he and the good Dr. would finally really see each other, and get together. I can't wait for the next in series. Steamy, suspensful and a page turner. Great job Mya.
