Spider-man, Venom and Avengers

Great 3 in 1 preview of things to come for Spider-man, trying to be friendly when the neighbourhood it's self is no longer friendly. Who is behind the Dark Web.

Venom and friends? Venom is recruiting on earth, and Eddie Brock is embarking on a deadly journey. How far is he willing to go to get back to his son?

The non-stop Avengers. The Avengers are doing what they do, but is it too late?

Spidey fights a mailbox and Venom continues to be uninteresting. Lame…

We begin when Spider-Man rescues an elderly gentleman from a killer blue mail receptacle. (It likes to eat people.)

This one is actually fairly funny.

Second story—We see Eddie Brock in the future. Something/someone is explaining magic to him.

Eddie is looking for Dylan. The entity continues to ask Eddie what he wants and what he needs.

Avengers—She-Hulk, Thor, and a monster goon.

A bit scattered…

I enjoyed the Spidey and Venom stories. The Spidey story in particular felt like a one shot with the humor you would come to expect. Venom seems to be going in a fun direction. I may start picking that up now.

September preview.

Excellent color artwork. Brief look at three mags. Spiderman. Venom. Avengers. A lot of symbiotes and asgardian villains. The avengers have a good line up this season.

The first story with Spiderman was weird and felt out of place and the venom story was continuing a story with his son overall it was an entertaining read and the sneak peek with the avengers story is good.

Me agradó el dibujado. Es un abre bocas, no esperen una historia compleja. Es free con eso se justifica cualquier cosa

Better

Way better than the last comic. The venom and avenger short stories were great. Good artwork and nice introductory stories.

I gotta admit that this comic book, is a very decent comic book from Marvel. The recent comic book I’ve read and reviewed weren’t that great as you might have noticed if you read my recent comic book reviews. But this one is pretty decent and so much better than them.

In a way this comic book offers us as readers an intriguing glimpse into the dynamic relationship between two of Marvel’s most iconic characters. But even thou I found this book to be fun and interesting it isn’t without its bad moment here and there throughout this comic book.

The storytelling in both the spider-man part and in the venom part is very good because both of the storylines are showcasing their contrasting personalities and moral complexities. But still both of the stories had their downsides at times, which in a way affect the rating I gave this comic book because of how I didn’t enjoy moments which weren’t that good.

The dialogue in both of the storylines presented in this comic book are in a way sharp, with moments of humor that feel true to character, particularly in the interactions between Spider-man and Eddie Brock aka Venom.

The narrative in both of the storylines in this comic book could have been better than what we actually got here. Because it feels rushed at times. It felt like the writer tried to cram too much plot and story into a limited space which of course this comic book is.

The artwork in this comic book is very good since its vibrant and sort of has the dynamic panel layouts to it which makes the plot a little bit more interesting. However, there are moments where the art feels overly stylized, potentially alienating readers who prefer a more traditional comic book aesthetic.

However the plots in both of the storylines feel more like an appetizer to get into Spider-man and Venom comic books rather than this comic book being a full storyline in itself.

I always pick up the Spider-Man/Venom FCBD issue, despite my ongoing confusion between Venom and Carnage. In the Spider-Man story, Spidey has to battle a magical post office box that had turned into a monster. It somehow has to do with an evil Ben Reilly and Madelyne Pryor from the X-Men- so they are now pulling together characters from two franchises, which has potential. In the Venom story, a one-eyed Eddie Brock wants to keep his son safe, who is a symbiote himself. Don’t know the background for this family drama, but the last two-page spread with other monsters was cool.

Standard superhero action drama. This is a Free Comic Book Day issue, so it contains three short teasers instead of a complete comic. They're pretty standard: the first features Spider-Man, the second is about Eddie and Venom, and the third covers the Avengers. Spider-Man and Venom don't actually interact (sadly) but the cover art is fun to look at. Nothing special here.
