At first I DNF but I’m not a quitter so I struggled through to the end. (spoilers)
This story was all over the place and tried too hard to have twists and turns. The reveal that Xavier was Havoc was obvious. The fact that he was using Malaysia was obvious to the point where the reveal that he was using her was lack luster. Malaysia’s was done a disservice. I understood that they were trying to show that she descended into madness but it was poorly executed. Well written anti hero’s usually have a point of no return when they transition to villain. where the reader can see that “oh this person is trippin” she did not have that. Romeo had no redeeming qualities and had no redemption arc where it’s satisfying that he got a happy ending. The addition of Naomi also came way too late in the series for any real connection to be made where I would root for her victory. I especially hate that the addition of Naomi, probably in a poor attempt to make the reader connect with her, they turned Malaysia from a character who was determined, intelligent and skilled, into a vapid annoying “side chick” just because end game was Havoc and Naomi.
Idk I feel like this book was a great example of when less is more, and I’m all for a book that doesn’t have a happy ending for all involved but this fell flat.

AFTER READING AUTHOR LADY LEGACY'S ONE AND TWO, I WAS HAPPY TO GET THE FINAL CULMINATION OF GANG TIES IN CHASE A CHECK NEVER CHASE A CHICK 3: THE FINALE. THE COMPTON HITTERS FILL THE CRYPT OF SALACIOUS WOMEN AND SEX BY BUILDING THE COFFERS BETWEEN FRIENDS FROM THE DEVIOUS PROCEEDS OF THE GANGSTER MAKING EMPIRE. AFTER SEVERAL DRIVE BY ENCOUNTERS AND WILD NIGHT HOOK UPS, A FRIENDSHIP TRICK IS A LOOK UP. THE GANG NEVER LOOKS BACKWARDS AND ANY FAILED SKIRMISHES ARE LEFT IN THE DUST.
I’m so happy Chico and Malaysia got there’s and I knew I was team Havoc for a reason. Love the series love that all three found love and that Havoc and Naomi are back together
Do many secrets came out in the finally of this series, I knew Malaysia was going to get hers in the end! Romeo mother is not yo he played with. I loved this series it was fast pace and kept you guessing, I really didn’t think it was going to end like that.
