I finally got Valerie to give Deacon what he wants.
To move to the city so the three of them can be together.
I just have to give her one thing...a penthouse in my building.
That means I'll have to see her, talk to her, and worst of all, assist her.
But no matter how difficult she is, her being here means Derek will be here...and that makes it all worth it.
Until she gets between Deacon and I...and rips us apart.

Disappointed in this book. What happened to Cleo? The author made her into a doormat.

It dragged on and on with big declarations of love and Cleo stating she wanted to have his baby and be his wife! Their relationship moved fast from her POV but obviously Deacon was wary.

Predictable what happened and the fall out but it went on too long and then doormat Cleo just accepted whatever Deacon had to offer and was just SO grateful he decided to take her back even if he wanted things to go slow.

I was bored reading this. Obviously I’ll read the conclusion but there’s no way this needed to be told over 4 books. I can’t even see what the fourth book will cover other than her probably getting pregnant by accident and him freaking out over it!

Spent the night reading this and now I’ll be going to work tired.
The strong self confident woman was no where in sight in this book! I still liked the hero but the way he treated her when he found out that she had a relationship with another man before she met him pissed me off! He treated her like she cheated, broke up with her and she had to beg for forgiveness just because she didn’t confide in him about her relationship with the other man. She didn’t need to beg because she didn’t do anything wrong! Sure she could have told him but his reaction was ott!
I knew his ex and her ex would get together and get her fired. It was very predictable!

3 stars for now.

Safety: No cheating. OW/OM drama

I was never a soap opera kind of girl but Victoria Quinn has somehow kept me invested in a story that should have been two books at most. I surmise it's the writing. Victoria Quinn can write.

I got so caught up in the falling action that I found myself brought to tears at one point and the storyline at this point isn't even that good.

It follows the same sequence as the others. Continuation of the latest battle with Valerie, working through their relationship around the roadblocks placed by same Valerie and then a resolution that leaves them either on the outs with Valerie or in the comfort of each other's arms. Sometimes both.

But I have spent days with these characters, getting down to the minute details of their lives, that it was easy to feel everything. From Trevor's new girl, Jake's drama, Valerie being Valerie, Derek's first day of kindergarten, Deacon's hurt and Cleo's revelation of finding a family after being on her own for so long.

Personally, I can't understand why there is another book after this one because it feels like this is the perfect time to put it all to bed. The sex has improved, Deacon is slowly picking up on social queues and though Cleo now seems an insecure and blubbering mess, I'm cool with that. The girl has been through the wringer. It's been quite the year.

Regardless, on to the next book I go!

The drama that popped up was pretty predictable and expected in this one. But it still hurt. I will say that Derek is the cutest kid. I love him so much. I love how much he loves Cleo. And how much she loves him, outside of her relationship with his father. I love Tucker. He's a great character. He may not have understood Deacon and didn't have as much patience for him when they were kids, but he continues to want what's best for Deacon and pushes him to do right by Cleo. Hopefully Deacon and Cleo have made it through the worst Valerie has to offer. But somehow I don't think she's done with them yet.

I purposely took two days to read this book because I love Deacon and Cleo so much. As far as Valerie and Jake goes if I could reach through the phone and sock them in the face I would. With that being said this book picks right up we’re book #2 ended with Valerie agreeing to move to NY if Cleo will do everything for her like she does for Deacon. Another beautifully written story amazing characters (even Valerie and Jake) that you will not be able to put down once you start. Victoria is another favorite go to author of mine. Looking forward to the next book.

Book 3 starts right where book 2 ended with Valerie asking Chleo to find her a property in the Trinity Building if she wants her to move to NYC.
I enjoyed book 3, I crave emotional moments and this book had so many.
Chleo and Deacon go through a break up that is hard on both them.
I think the reason of the break up wasn't so strong since it was about a past story but I think I needed some emotional drama when H&h understand the magnitude of their feelings, so in the end I didn't care.
Deacon is always such a fantastic hero...even in here.
Felt bad for Chleo...she didn't deserve all that. She loves him so much! It's like love/obsession with these two.

Can't wait for book 4

When will this be over!

I really should stop reading but I’m a glutton for punishment. 3 books in and the story still hasn’t concluded. Why?!

i will start by saying i love cleadeaon. i really do. i fell in love with their dynamic and chemistry from books one and two.

however, i genuinely feel like by now they could have had a happily ever after. it’s unbecoming and turning more unrealistic throughout this book, and especially at the end the way every loose end was tied, plotlines were tied and every conflict was resolved. in fact, this novel ended on a happy note. while i think these two could have had a happy end by book two, i also strongly believe that okay, we met a new conflict in book three, but it was resolved, why not make it a bit lengthier and give cleodeacon their happy ending? it seems rather excessive to me. i feel like book four is a far fetched idea to drag on the romance and wring it dry and essentially ruin cleodeacon’s dynamic. it’ll be a pointless novel of stirring the pot for inconvenient drama.

i also believe the author made cleo a damn doormat in this. so, because cleo felt a little intimidated by a professional in deacon’s field (given her past) she wasn’t allowed to feel jealous? but the moment he found out about her past before they even got together he sent her away? and the moment he demanded her to move in with him because he found out the crappy place she lived, she accepted? where did he grovel? and where is the strong heroine i read in the first two books?

nevertheless, i will read the fourth and concluding book. i sincerely hope i don’t lose interest in these two because of that final book. i love the way deacon describes her and i love reading his pov and i love cleo overall, i hope she doesn’t remain a doormat and i hope i walk out of this unscathed of my appreciation for them. or else it’ll be very grave... for the author.

“We’re like penguins, cardinals, sea horses…” Her eyes were still soft, but her eyebrow rose slightly. “Animals that mate for life,” I explained.”

Read 2: this book was a tough emotional read. I was so afraid that Deacon would fool around with other women (especially that bitch scientist) when they were apart I basically felt sick to my stomach. I was glad he came around but man, I feel like he maybe should have suffered more. The next book better be less of a rollercoaster!

Such a good series. Couldn’t put it down and read the first 4 books within 48 hours. Amazing!

The way the male protagonist handled the entire conflict disgusted me so that’s why I give it four stars. I get she loves him but good god she doesn’t deserve to be treated that way over a mistake like that

We all know that nothing is easy and in this story specifically, there’s certainly no ease on the horizon. We know that at the end of book two, Cleo had managed to do the impossible, she had convinced Valerie to move with Derek to New York. The hitch is that it had to be in the same building and she wanted Cleo to wait on her night and day. Cleo of course would do anything for Deacon, so she made it happen.

We know that this is going to get far worse before it gets better. Remember that Valerie thought that Deacon and Cleo were together, and Cleo convinced her that she was with Tucker. So that means that in addition to having to keep up a lie for the sake of Cleo’s job, we have to watch them do it for the sake of Derek and keeping the family as close together as possible.

Things seem to be playing out well. Deacon’s introduced Cleo to his mom as his girlfriend now which is a new step and Margo is thrilled that Deacon’s found happiness. Tucker has moved on with his own girl who seems to be pretty cool and that makes this a well balanced group of characters. Until of course we remember that Valarie is there and she’s vindictive. In every sense of the word.

She doesn’t want to do all the things a caring parent should, taking Derek to his parent teacher conference etc, and has Cleo do it instead. Which frankly is no stress on Cleo given that she loves Derek. What becomes a problem though is one night when Cleo walks into Valerie’s apartment to drop off mail and low and behold, JAKE is there. And not only do we know that Valerie wants Cleo to report back to Deacon that she’s moved on, but we know that there’s intense bad blood between Jake and Cleo.

What happens next is no surprise. Jake tells valerie of his past with Cleo, who then runs to Deacon and shares the information. Which of course causes a huge blow up because Deacon now believes that Cleo isn’t the woman that he thought she was. We watch Cleo’s world crash down.

She’s lost Deacon

She now loses her job because either Jake or Valerie ratted her out to the building

She’s lost all prospect on a happy or even unhappy life in New York and she gets ready to move to Washington.

There are a variety of events that happen that take us on a dark journey with Cleo – watch her downward spiral of her life, and really wish that something else could come along for her. Being a new yorker, i’m still not sure how she lost her apartment after just one month knowing the money that she made, but then again, I don’t know what her expenses were. But she’s forced to move to a studio in a bad neighborhood in Brooklyn before she moves west to where her family is. She has no job prospect because she’s not hireable and the last part of her heart and soul is now gone.

Deacon’s no better to be honest. while his life goes on, part of his heart and soul are dead and it brings out a side of Deacon that we’ve never seen.

It’ll be a wonder who can help solve this mess, if it’s even salvagable and I wonder what that means for the rest of the story. we want Deacon and Cleo to be happy but that ship seems to have sailed. We want Valerie to suffer but she always seems to have the upper hand. I’m not sure where this story will go, but i’m sure going to read book four and find out.

Valerie and Jake are both snake in the grass!

Deacon, needs to grow a pair and fight Valerie, for custody of their five year old son Derek. I"m sick and tired of this back and forth with her yanking his chain. The way he allows her to control him using their son, because he's a afraid to take her to court to fight for custody. It's stating to kiss me off. The way that both Valerie and Jake, screwed over Cleo, is just sad. She lost the one thing she holds dear because Jake and Valerie, are jealous of both Cleo and Deacon's relationship. Valerie is a Grade A Bitch, that needs a beat down from Cleo. And Jake is a douche bag that needs his a as kicked by Deacon. I cannot believe that he ratted Cleo out to her boss, causing her, her job and her apartment, in Manhattan. Leaving her with nothing but a ratty apartment in Brooklyn. Thank goodness for Deacon, helping her even though he broke up with her, because of Jake. I still think that Cleo, should have come clean to Deacon, before the shit hit the fan. The way that Deacon laid into Cleo, after he found out about her and Jake, was so heart wrenching. That Valerie is a stone cold bitch, the way she ratted out Cleo to Deacon. Deacon needs to put that witch in her place once and for all. When will he finally day enough is enough?! When will he get mad enough to fight her in child custody court? I'm so bored with him allowing her to treat him like crap and using their five year old, son Derek against him. He needs to kick her trifling ass in court, and get his son away from her once and for all.

5 stars for The Man Who has No Love by Victoria Quinn. This is book three in the Soulless series. Cleo gets Deacon what he wants, Derek close to them. However, it includes Valerie, and this could very well be their downfall. This book gave me all the feels. I will say I shed some tears during this book. Ok not just some but a lot. “A person’s worth isn’t determined by their wealth. Take my money away, and I’m the one not good enough for you, Cleo. You’re kind, compassionate, passionate… You have a heart that I’ll never have. You bent over backward for me when I was less than kind. So, don’t sit there and say I’m better than you. You’re better than that.” I did want to hit Deacon a couple times during this book. He made me so mad. I do not want to say too much because it could ruin the story. I am ready for book four.

Cloe Cloe Cloe …

In this 3rd book Cleo went from being this bad bitch that had her shit together and was so accomplished to a rescue pet like seriously ? She didn’t have savings ? After a month ? Couldn’t reach out to her billionaire millionaire contacts and get a job ? Ask for favours ? Also Deacon treated her like shit and she acted like she was super guilty and he was better like girl no stand up and get some spine . Also and this have been annoying me now for a while this is a very expansive complex to live in with basically a Concerge / personal assistants you bet your sweet ass that they also have night shifts and SECURITY so they would have seen her not going home when she was with Deacon that’s a big big flaw here all private residences with that many wealthy ppl have security …

Man Deacon can be clueless sometimes! UGH! And Jake's just an absolute JERK anyways! I was so mad that I wish I could've rung some necks...lol. I felt every emotion that Cleo felt when Deacon confronted her! But Deacon shouldn't have treated her as badly as he did either! Also Valerie needs to mind her own business too! Just be glad that she doesn't have to call on a Nanny anytime she wants to go out!
If you want to go on an emotional roller coaster, then this the book for you...lol. But I would suggest that you start at the beginning of this series to know what's going on. I love Victoria's books. She's is an awesome writer/author by making you feel like your in the story with all those characters.

This book picked up right from where we left off in book 2! Cleo saying she will move to New York if she can get a condo in Deacon’s building, so they Cleo will wait on her all the time. This book played with my emotions right from the beginning! I loved seeing how happy Cleo and Deacon were! But as soon as I read about Valerie’s date I knew something bad was going to happen! When Jake pulled the stunt he did I wanted to reach through my phone and punch him and Valerie! I was also mad at the way Deacon treated Cleo! He was so cold to her and treated her like garbage! It broke my heart when Derek confessed how he felt about Cleo and how much he missed her! I can’t wait to read the final book and see how this entire story plays out! I feel like we aren’t done with Jake and Valerie yet!!

I'm going to give it 3 stars because the writing is good and doesn't make you bored.. About the FL she deserves to be fired.. She knew that she is not allowed to date the residents yet she dated Jake and it was a disaster.. And she was fortunate to not be cought.. Then she started to be with the ML .. That is so stupid... If she really loves him then she should quit her job and be with him.. But NO she wants EVERYTHING !
And she should have told him about Jake.. Because now she seems like a woman who likes to play and jump from a client to another...
And if she is as great as she is portrayed in the book in her job.. Then the owner and residents will refuse to let her go.
Anyway I'm in the part where the evil ex- wife tells the ML about the affair.... Let's see how the will end.

In the conclusion of book 2 Valerie only agrees to move if Cleo can get her a place in the same building Deacon lives in. In book 3 Cleo as great as she is makes it happen. Valerie is a wicked evil woman that needs the hell smacked out of her! Deacon brings Cleo to dinner to meet his mother and finally revealed there in a serious relationship. When Tess the waitress finds out she throws a fit the whole time! She needs her ass fired! Valerie believes she has a chance with Deacon beens there goin to be living so close again. Derek is so excited to be living so close to his dad again. I love how the cabin is their get away from everyone and its their special place to be together ❤

I am loving this series! I think that Deacon and Cleo are perfect for each other. The question is can they fight the forces that seem to be trying to tear them apart? Is love enough when it seems that everything is against you? How hard are you willing to fight to hold onto this Love? Check out the book to find the answers. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I was on a roller coaster ride of emotions. I wanted to sling my kindle a couple of times! Kleenex and ice water will be needed. A must have book! I can not wait for the next book! Would give more stars if allowed! Loved this book!!!

I love how this author really gives life to her characters. They are not cookie cutter people - each and every one has their own strengths, weaknesses, quirks, and definitely - personality.

I love how Deacon has been more aware of his interactions with people. I love Chloe's dedication to her job and Deacon. I love that the author has made me hate the 2 evil exes. Derek is once again an awesome little dude. The drama caused by the exes brings some devastation to our couples relationship but it ends on a fairly happy note. I cannot wait to see what happens next (I really hope the exes move to Timbuktu and have no access to phone or internet!).

TMWHNL is the 3rd book in the Soulless Series by Victoria Quinn. This book continues after the dramatic ending in the previous book where Valerie agrees to move to the city with Derek on the agreement that Cleo finds Valerie an available residence in the Trinity Building. On one hand I was so excited to get started in this & the other I was dreading the drama. However the drama was toned down for most of the book surprisingly which was refreshing though towards the end it did get slightly predictable on what was going to happen next. Still loving this series though & look forward to reading what happens next.

As usual this series doesn't disappoint!!! I will say that I was really disappointed in Deacon behavior. I understand his hand up in regards to be in a relationship, but the way he overreact toward Cleo was something. Also what happened to strong confident Cleo??? It's like her whole self-worth went out the window. As far as the ex's getting together was some what predictable!!! Still I'm looking forward to seeing what else is in store for this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.

This series keeps getting better and better! In the beginning of the book we read how Deacon and Cleo’s relationship grows more confident and steady. And then bam! Valerie and Jake destroy everything. My heart burst out of my chest. The confident, feisty heroine was knocked on her butt. No spoilers here. I’m just waiting for The Man Who Has No Sight to see how everything hopefully falls into place for Deacon and Cleo. Oh, and Derek is still a perfect addition to the series. He’s a great child character, perfectly written.

So, Valerie moves in with Derek and begins to cause trouble. starts dating Jake
, Cleo’s ex Jake, they get together and stir up a bunch of trouble when Jake tells HIS version of his relationship with Cleo. Valerie runs to Deacon with the info and because Cleo had not told him about her relationship with Jake before she met Deacon, he freaks. Cuts Cleo out of his life wants some space. Cleo leaves in tears. If that isn’t bad enough, she loses her job. This book had me on an emotional roller coaster. So good, I’m gonna read it again.

Cleo was of her own demise. Shocking how seriously Deacon took the deceit. Cleo should have come clean sooner even if it was to her embarrassment. Of course Jake wants cake and pie and ice cream and acts like a baby when he doesn't get it. At least Cleo did find some worth in the fact the tenants supported her. She is so focused on caring for others and saying -'yes, I will get that done for you' that it does take over her well being. Will she get her own HEA? Or will her comment to Deacon be the end - you are it for me, there will be no others after this. This book definitely had turmoil.

Good writing. The author has the power no doubt.

Yet, she chose to disect the story to four (!) Parts. Why? No idea. Too tiring.

The story? Well, the heroine, she was a doormat from day one. "HER CAREER" for Seven years (yeah, just like slavery time) of serving as personal assistent to sooooo many clients was just too sad...
And even worse was reading her fall for a sociopath who couldn't smile next to her for a picture but he did smile on a photo shoot next to the mayor.

I better not even get started. I said my piece, I go in peace.

All the feels

Most romance novels focus mainly on the pre-relationship and ends when the couple get together. This series is unusual, reading about a couple being together. It's refreshing.
This book had me feeling every which way. So many hilarious moments - Tucker and Derek mainly. Sad moments and glad moments. Annoying and frustrating moments - Jake, Valerie, both being mega obnoxious, then Deacon and his wealth and self-absorbed ways, all annoyed me in this book. All felt so real.

I’m enjoying the series don’t get me wrong, I can’t put the bloody thing down, but I have no clue why this series is this long! It could so easily be condensed. From book one, It has the slowest burn of the century.
This book finally had a bit more drama intwined into the heavily overused sex scenes. The book is more sex than plot for sure. Sometimes I feel my eyes almost skipping through the sex scenes because there’s only so many times you can read about Deacons creamy base from Cleo’s arousal lol

Wow does this story between Deacon and Cleo ever get more interesting. I think there were more twists and turns than a rollercoaster.
As for Valerie, Deacon’s ex wife, gosh she can be so cutting and spiteful. Can Valerie come between Cleo & Deacon, does she succeed?
Love the humour with Tucker, Decons brother. The relationship between the two of them certainly grows now Tucker is in New York!
Another brilliant read from Victoria. Book 4 can not come quick enough.
