Both your favorite avatars return in two all-new stories from The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra! Dive into the fun for Free Comic Book Day, and expect excitement, familiar faces, and a hefty helping of shenanigans!
Meredith McClaren is an illustrator and cartoonist who has no business doing either.
She sometimes entertains the idea of drawing the fourth book in Jen Van Meter’s Hopeless Savages series. And her journal comic Scraps indulges her closeted narcissism.
Supposedly she has a postal code in Arizona, but really, she could be anywhere.
I like the different art styles, though I prefer the usual style in ATLA and LoK comics.
Aang's Unfreezing Day is only a small preview of the full-length comic that will be published soon. Wishing it was out already, to be honest. Been waiting for AGES!
Beach Wars was cute! I liked seeing Toph and Katara together again. And Bolin. Man, I love Bolin.
Fun way to learn english especially I know more about slang. I can feel the ambience of the story and I can imagine iif this comic become anime series or live action. The wholse story is hilarious and make me laugh. I like the way author illustrate the whole scene especially the 4 elements (air, water, land, fire) used. Unfortunately there are little bit i nfotmation about zocco.
I have been keeping up with series so see this one make sense in the time line that they were at and add more detail to korra line as well also in enjoy read I found nice to add new info on both time lines of the main characters

--- This is a cute and short read. Both stories feel like a glimpse into the life of each Avatar.
"Aang's Unfreezing Day" has super cute art but it´s not a complete story -and was not advertised as a 2 part comic, so that's a bummer-.
"Beach Wars" felt more complete -even if the end implies it could have a second part- but the art was a little weird. Still, I enjoyed seeing Toph and Katara together again.
In short, it's a cute comic book that could have been better if the first story wasn't left on a cliffhanger.
Aang’s Unfreezing Day: The excerpt was adorable. I love Aang’s interactions with everyone so far, and I can’t wait to finish the story when it comes out next year.
Beach Wars: Asami said it best- the grandmas are plotting. Good to know Katara and Toph are still besties so many years later, and are corrupting their grandkids. (Even if Meelo and Bolin are the only ones into it lol). Also, LET KORRA HAVE HER VACATION.
Reading this made me miss waking up early or even staying up late to watch avatar. Geez I really want them to release more avatar related things. I will say I do love the avatar chronicle books.
Fun little stories. Nothing complicated, just a fragment of the Gaang planning a surprise for the local Avatar, and some nostalgic grannies shenanigans
