I really enjoyed this book, it was fun. The hero is a former teenage delinquent, former Marine and current Chief of Police, a job he is not sure he likes, he is also the man Katie, the daughter of the town's richest man had a crush on in high school.
Despite being two years older Mitch noticed her, he couldn't help it, she was shy, a good girl and then a sad one dealing with her mother's death. Mitch has matured but it seems Kate is determined to be a bad girl.
Kate came to town for a school reunion and to make her dad finally take notice. Her whole life she has been good, great grades, job everything but her dad has never been satisfied and now that he has the son he always wanted, he seems to be more absent. First off her dad is a dick, who makes their daughter take an appointment.
On the advice of her friend Kate tries to do bad things and almost strips something Mitch stops. I loved the chemistry between these two, it was sizzling. I also felt sorry for Kate, she was just so desperate to connect with her father but finally had to face the truth which had been in her face.
I especially loved the ending when she proposed. A pretty good read.
Cute, funny, incredibly sexy read. I truly enjoyed the characters and scenes that made up this vintage Temptation title...with the exception of the heroine's dad. THAT guy needs therapy and a backbone!
The scene were they first made love was a little confusing to me. On the one had, it seemed as if she had no experience but then it became obvious that she had some experience. I don't know. It just wasn't too clear for me.
T781 May00 Sweet Talkin' Guys #5 Chief of police Mitch McKee, had been a teenage delinquent and a marine. Mitch had stayed away from Katie Sutherland, now she's back in town for her high school reunion and ready to rebel. She wants her father to notice her and to be apart of his new family. Great chemistry between Katie and Mitch. Her father and her step-mother needed a big attitude adjustment, she thought her step-daughter was to close to her in age to be apart of the family!? What? So Katie can't know her infant half-brother and her father won't see his grandchild! Utter nonsence.

I found this book quite funny and entertaining. The characters were well developed and likeable. I also liked that the HEA didn't happen in the way most other small town romances do.
