Not even small towns are safe from sticky fingers. Charlotte McKay doesn’t know what to think when a robbery goes down in Sweetwater Fountains. While the store’s owner has always been good to Charlotte, free-spirited Jeanette has remained a creature of mystery. When Charlotte learns that the fountains are worth far more than anyone anticipated, she isn’t sure if the small town of Sweetwater Falls is safe, or if the burglar will strike again. With a business lease on the line and a friend in trouble, Charlotte knows she needs to get to the bottom of who committed the crime… … Or Jeanette might have to close up shop for good. When Charlotte’s amazing landlord Jeannette is found on the floor of her own shop, Charlotte stops at nothing to find who hurt her friend. Amidst the stolen gems, broken fountains, and new friends, can she bring the thief to justice? This books was such a heartwarming one. It really reemphasized the closeness of Sweetwater Falls and the love these people have for each other and their town. I was grateful there was no actual murder in this one, as all this book’s characters have a special place in my heart.
Charlotte is so loveable, as is The Live Forever Club, Marianne, and Logan. This time Charlotte's landlady and friend is attacked and ends up in a coma. Charlotte follows the clues to oust the criminal. She also hires an assistant for the cupcakery Oh, and at the same time the whole town plans a surprise birthday party for Marianne. Lots of fun and excitement in this one!
Sometimes you crave a read that you know will make you feel good. The Cupcake Crimes series always delivers. This is the 9th book in the series and I always feel right at home when I fall into these pages and back into Sweetwater Falls. While you won't find anything profound, or any edge of your seat twisty-turny thriller type storylines here; what you will find is kindness, love, compassion, and a fun/quick/easy read. And sometimes this is exactly what we need as a good pallet cleanser. This series never fails to bring a smile to my face.
This one is more Charlotte, less her tight knit group. We meet Betty, a new friend.
Kept me guessing until the end and this time, no outlandish schemes on her part. It wasn’t as much about the mystery as her surviving everything she had to do during the investigation and thinking about everything.
A quick easy read, this time it’s a “cozy robbery” and not a “cozy murder”, which is good because idk how many murder a can happen in a tiny town like Sweetwater falls.
A little sad for Marianne & Fisher in this book, and there isn’t much side development with Logan & Charolette.

Disclaimer: I do enjoy these short easy reads but they’ll never be more than a 3 star read for me personally, I just can’t give them the same rating I would give a book that transports me to a different universe and leaves me wanting to re-read the book 3 times.
Strangled again? How is that the only thing that these criminals think do to? And she hits them in the head..... again. So many problems could have been solved if she would just text her boyfriend!!! Instead she tries to confront the attacker on her own, even though she locked herself in a pantry after seeing her messed up bakery. So many eye rolls for this one.

I absolutely love this series. This book highlighted her best friend’s birthday with her favorite flavor. I love that they did a surprise birthday party. I never know who the person is gonna be that did the crime til about the end. I love that I’m not able to guess.
This story is a good mix of who-done-it and romance. Charlotte finds herself in the middle of a confusing break in and attack. Of course she gets busy trying to find the culprit.
Terrific story with plenty of excitement, danger, surprises, suspense, wonderful friends and a loving small town. I would recommend this to everyone who enjoys reading wonderful mystery.
Predictably, the main character gets choked yet again. Slot seems to happen in this little town in under a year. Was hoping for more progress on the characters by now.
I have guessed the bad guys/girls in other books in this series but I didn’t guess this one! I am glad that Charlotte got a chance to make more friends and get help in the bakery.
A great story! Love the characters and the slow discovery of the identity of the burglar.
