Rate this book
Kids and sports fans of all ages always look up to their favorite player. It doesn’t matter if they can throw a ball 100 mph, hit a grand slam, or catch a winning touchdown pass—athletes have a big impact on their fans. But what’s more important than a players’ stats and likeability is that they show a godly example both on and off the playing field.

In Sports Shorts, you’ll get an inside look at what motivates a Christian all-star player. You will find out that they have problems just like you. But they also know where to find strength when they are tested. Professional athletes can serve God and be happy even when life throws them a curveball and so can you.

Sports Shorts will show you wonderful examples of Christian football and baseball players at their best so you can be inspired to be your best.

Sports Shorts is the perfect gift for the young middle school athlete in your life. A great resource for coaches to bring into the dugout or onto the field to share with their players, this devotional lets younger athletes know that everyone faces problems and that no matter what life throws at you, you can still serve God and be happy and competitive.

I love God and I love sports so this was a great devotional for me. It is written for young adults, not necessarily those of us who are in their 60s.

The book alternates from a baseball player to a football player for 52 devotionals. It starts with an entry by the player about the main topic. This is followed by the Big Moment which is where the person will face the issue presented. Next up is the Big Play where the main point is driven home. Finally, there is the Coach's Corner which offers a takeaway and a Bible verse that is applicable.

If you love sports and God this is a great devotional for you. Also, give one to the young person in your life who loves sports. Help them to grow to love God more.

Del has hit it out of the park! This little book is one both children and adults will love. Each chapter offers a quick story from one of the featured athletes plus a powerful takeaway lesson for the reader. In fact, my husband is eager to read it.

I love it and am sure you will too!

This book was written for kids, but I could always find something to relate to in the little stories. It is great for a sports fan wanting to see some of their favorite players talk about their faith. Good nice read and nice to read a couple of the stories right before bed.

I really enjoyed this book! It had a good variety of athletes and talked about different parts of the athlete's life. Each athlete's story also ended with a Bible verse.
