There is no content to this book. It just tells you the things you will do in the game. No real hints or tips on which house to choose, the play style methods, spell combos nor any real secrets of the game.

This is utterly pointless and is just a synopsis of each mission instead of an actual game guide.

As someone who struggles immensely with video games I found this book to be really helpful. I’ve never been very good at knowing what to do in games with worlds as big as this game but I was desperate to play Hogwarts Legacy! The book helps you figure out what to do for each quest, including almost all the side quests! Defiantly worth it if you aren’t used to games like this or just generally need a bit of a prompt on where to start. Once you finish the game it’s a good keepsake too <3

This is the official game guide released soon after the "Hogwarts Legacy" video game came out in Spring of 2023. This is a great collectible and companion guide for any fan of the game who wants to revisit previous quests as well as gain some additional insight.

I only give this 4 stars for a few minor things. Every quest is given the same formatting and there isn't any differentiation for which are main quests, and which are the optional side quests or relationship lines. It is odd why some core storyline parts aren't included in the book while others are spoiled. These differences leave the impression of there being multiple authors but no single authoritative voice that read through the entire manuscript for consistency. Indeed, there are a few inaccuracies (the book says broom upgrades will cost 2-25 GP when in game they are over 1,000 GP each), meaning the book content was sent to print before gaming decisions finalized. As a result, this game guide reads as though written by someone brought on to play a beta version and then document their experience rather than by someone embedded within the lifecycle of the development team.

I do like the imagery chosen and I've had fun reading this. My husband can confirm I've played nearly 100 hours of gameplay by this point, and I'm certain I'll play more! I wonder how the game guide compares to "The Artwork of Hogwarts Legacy" book?

My game isn’t arriving until the end of July 2023 so this was a nice book to show me what to expect when it gets here. It is filled with very colorful pictures and detailed drawings that make me excited for when I can actually play the game. I can also speak a bit to those who are already playing the game or at least understand what they’re talking about. If you’re looking for a peak into the game this might be for you.

I found this guide mostly useful in keeping track of who's who and navigating the super intricate storylines. It advertises itself as a guide to gameplay, but that isn't really true. There's no hidden secrets or locations revealed and, most importantly, no guidance with puzzles, unlocks, gear, and talents.

Ordered this thinking maybe it was a walk through guide, or maybe it would have better maps or tell you how to find hidden things like most normal guide books do. It is basically a summary of the story line of the game. It's completely useless. Pretty to look at, but that's about it.

Overall I enjoyed this book. I have finished the game so this was just a fun read for me. Keep in mind this is not a strategy guide where it gives helpful tips and tricks, its just a run through of the game so it goes in some detail about characters, places, and quests. Great quick read!

This is a decent overview of the game, but if you’re looking for maps, step-by-step guidance, or for things to be listed in the exact proper order it won’t give you what you want. The background information on various NPCs is outstanding, however.

Bought because I'm still waiting for my game. I ordered it on the Switch so I have to wait a little longer. I thought it was very handy. At least I know which side quests to do 1st so I can get a head start with spells. I thought the book was fun. Not needed to play the game, but it does have a rundown on all the enemies you'll face and the best spell to defeat them.
