I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

This is a fantastic book for teenagers to help them through puberty and all the emotions they may have and feel especially in the modern world of today with all the stresses, strains and pressures surrounding them.
This book talks about dealing with emotions, rage, anger, hurt, frustrations, friendships and more and the tasks spotted through the book help teens to build up their understanding of said emotions and feelings as well as build up their resilience and work on coping mechanisms.
I wish I'd had a book like this available to me when I was a teen.

This is a fantastic evidence-based resource for young people - this self-help book is engaging, highly relevant and easy to follow. There are so many great features of this book including the beautiful and descriptive illustrations and the exercises that provide step-by-step guidance for young people on a wide range of challenges. The layout of the book is also very helpful in working with teens, with each chapter covering a particular topic. As a psychologist, I'm always looking for resources just like this as I have been able to give clients a relevant and short chapter to read. I have already started incorporating the material in my work with teens and all have found it extremely helpful. This will be a valuable resource for anyone working to support young people.
Cannot recommend highly enough.

As an HPE teacher, I felt this book has the potential to help students. I can see recommending it to teens and hoping they would read it. Some of the language etc. make it probably not appropriate to adopt as a class text, however, I think it has a lot of good solid advice for teens who are struggling learn to cope. It provides some good tips and advice that kids could easily adopt. It also provided some great research and stories of experiments that I would love to share with students because I found them super interesting and think they would too.

As a child psych, I found this a helpful, easy to use manual for teens as based on the ACT DNA-V model. Accessible format and language for varying language/comprehension ability. Great ideas for session planning if working w teens or as a self-directed book for adolescents.
Part 1 speaks to building DNA-V specific skills. Part 2 covers topics including: anxiety, relationships, bullying, low mood, managing screentime/online behaviours, self-confidence. Very comprehensive and content is adaptable. Empowering stuff for teens.

The authors break down and teach some complex psychological tools grounded in acceptance and commitment therapy in fun and visually memorable ways. This is a highly enjoyable, easily digestible and visually delightful book.
