Finding Beau

Beau

Beautiful Beau. That’s what they called me. My life was anything but that and I was struggling.
Things were hard. Really hard. A sister who couldn’t say no, a boss I couldn’t say no to, no matter how hard I tried and a place I could be kicked out of any time.
I was fighting a losing battle, and wondered at this point if it was all worth it. I had nothing to live for, no one to live for and at the age of twenty-three, I was ready to call it a day.
If only there was someone to show me, to prove to me that life was worth living, because right now, I was afraid the next thing I did would be my last.

Kwanchai

Making it big, that was the dream! The fame, the fortune. We wanted it all, the moon and especially the stars.
But a gig in Liverpool, a beautiful bartender that catches my eye, and suddenly, my world is in a spin and nothing is clear. I want to know more, need to know more about the man who’s sad smile speaks so many words.
The man that has captured my attention. The man that has captured my heart.
Success beckons though and I’m in turmoil. He needs me and I have to make him see that he’s worth it, that together, we’re worth it before it’s too late.

Finding Beau is the second in the Liverpool Boys series. It follows Beau, the tortured bartender and the blue haired K-pop star that finds him.
Please heed the trigger warnings: This book features abuse, both verbal and physical, sexual assault and drug use There is also mention of suicide, both thoughts and intent.

Beau and Kwan meet at a pivotal time in their respective lives. They connect on a visceral level, but can they dig deeper to find themselves, and the love they both deserve?

This is a tale of mental health battles, coming out, and finding self-acceptance and affection.

We as readers receive valuable insight into Beau’s thoughts and feelings as he navigates the difficulties with the present (Bernie, Megan, despondency) as well as his haunting past. The situation with Bernie does make for difficult reading; the storytelling is vivid and quite painful.

It’s enjoyable to see Ziggy and Marc return. They are excellent characters who contribute to the plot and are there to aid Beau throughout some of his most challenging tribulations.

As the plot develops, it’s endearing to see both main characters beginning to stand up for themselves.

When Kwan opens up to his sister about Beau, it’s not even eloquent as much as brutally authentic. He knows deep down how he feels, and it’s appreciated that he may not be able to express himself as neatly and comprehensively as he would like to.

It’s cool that the guys are vers…

Altercations with Simon further underline an additionally under-explored theme—how difficult being beautiful can actually be. When you are incredibly good-looking, people don’t “see” you. They only see the surface you. This is articulated adeptly. We endlessly hear the benefits of “pretty privilege”; we rarely find any worthwhile exploration of the darker, ugly side of being disgustingly gorgeous.

At times, a cautionary story that explores the dangers of not taking care of our mental health. While Beau and Kwan are a couple the reader roots for, more on-page time as a couple would help to stick the landing.

This is a tale of two guys falling in love. Beau, who is 23 years old, is a beautiful guy from the inside and outside. He struggles to stand on his own two feet in the world and endures a challenging life. Taking care of his sister, who is a drug addict, is his toughest challenge. He forces himself to make decisions that would significantly impact him in order to protect her. He will allow others to abuse him, including extortion and sexual assault. But eventually, he will have to put an end to everything and declare that enough is enough. Kwanchai, on the other hand, is an Asian man who aspires to become a successful K-pop star. The two guys’ lifestyles and differences from one another are pronounced. There is no turning back after they first encounter one another because something in their hearts ignites.

The story is written in the first-person narration style from the two main characters’ perspectives. The reader learns the innermost sentiments and thoughts of the two major characters, which helps the reader comprehend their points of view. Beau’s tale is the more dramatic and somber one of the two. Kwan’s role is more laid back until something occurs to one of his colleagues. I’ve never read anything by the author before, and I liked her writing style. I appreciate how she maintained the characters’ sexual versatility, which is uncommon in this genre. I am aware that this is book two in the series, but you can read it as a standalone. Possibly soon, I’ll pick up the first one.

In my opinion, the lack of communication between the two protagonists did, in the middle of the book, lessen the impact of the story. Lack of communication and miscommunication in romance are tropes that usually do not go well with me. Fortunately, the story did not stay in that tone and moved on. Overall, this is a lovely romantic story with some hard subjects that might be triggering to some readers. So be sure to check the trigger warnings before you get into it. Yes, you will get your happy ending as well, if you were wondering about it.

Many thanks to the author/publisher and Booksirens for providing me with an advance reader copy of this book.

I admired Beau for his strength of character. Between his sister and Bernie ( ex boss), I don't know who I despised more!!! I cheered when he found the strength to cut toxicity from his life. I was thrilled when Kwan and Beau decided to pursue a relationship which wasn't easy and breezy, but they fought the obstacles to be together. Just when I was hopeful for Beau and his new job, my hopes were dashed. Then. Kwan is MIA!!!! This decimated me and I completely broke down and cried my eyes out. This boy couldn't catch a break! I was hoping to see some karma for Simon, but none!!!! * tears*
The epilogue was uplifting after all the pain!
Warning; tissues required while reading!!!

After Saving Ziggy I wanted Beau’s story next, I was so excited when I found that his story was being written 💙

This book starts off with a heart wrenching scene, just get your tissues out! But it’s so beautifully written 💙 I’m in aw over Alex’s writing!

Beau doesn’t have an easy life, he really got shit happening on all fronts. But then he meets Kwan, a K-pop star who wants to become big! Of course there isn’t a walk in the park for these two to make it together. I love how Kwan reads Beau as a person, how he wants to be there for him and love him. They get their beautiful HEA eventually.

I love the writing style, all the heart breaking moments and the storyline. This isn’t an easy read, but I loved every page.

I’m so happy we got Beau’s story, and I’m happy he found love.

The book was so heartwhelming and sweet. Pure beau needs to be protected. I hated there were so many misunderstandings among them. The couple is so good, they balance each other

Alex J Adams has written another gritty story of survival. Despite the hard times and tough situations, though, it is ultimately hopeful and surprisingly steamy.

It's the second in her Liverpool Boys series, and while you'd do well to read Saving Ziggy first, you can read Finding Beau as a standalone if you choose. I don't recommend it, though, because Ziggy and his man Marc play roles in Beau's life. Both books have extensive trigger warnings, though, and I recommend paying close attention to them because they are not overstated. If you can hold on, though, the characters and story are worth the effort.

I recommend NOT starting this when you're in a dodgy place emotionally, though, because it's grim and depressing in many places. I read it at a really bad time for me, and I made it through, but I know I didn't appreciate it as much as I would have had I read it in a less tense time. Both Beau and Kwan have their issues, and each finds his hard-won happy ending as they find their HEA together.

If you're a fan of angsty, dramatic, hurt-comfort reads, you'll enjoy Finding Beau.

4.5 rounded up.

Finding Beau hit my heart from the beginning. Everyone called him beautiful but his life was anything but that. His life was full of people who took advantage of him sister and slimy bosses. He always carried a guilt over what happened to his sister which made his work situation worse.
Kwan comes in the light litterly has he is a struggling K-pop star and so happens to be performing at the bar Beau is working at.
They find a bit of a connection with each other. They both have struggles to work through separate and together. {Beau is more mental because when all the things fall apart he does the same (I know this feeling well I can relate to a lot of this story) Kwan he deals with the issue of not coming out yet to family and his band mates. Amongst other things going to school and helping his parents at the restaurant.} Beau not knowing relationship well is doing all he can do to be with Kwan. There is so much to this book you need to read Alex did her job when you cry , scream laugh and fall in love with the characters. And the characters are forever in your heart. Read Finding Beau as he deals with self doubt and being a failure at everything he does and some what of a curse of being beautiful on the outside because your inside beauty is never seen.
Kwan comes in and some how pulls out the deep end Beau fell into with some help with some friends Ziggy and Marc.
Alex J. Adams is definitely a needs to read Author.
Please Read amazing story but ⬇️

Finding Beau.Finding Beau ( Liverpool Boys Series Book 2) by Alex J Adams.
Alex J Adams has once again proven how great she is at this writing gig.
Her writing drew me into the life of Beau, a beautiful young man who has such a lot to offer, but he never gets the chance.
He has problems that have haunted him, as he tries to see through the clouds, everything goes wrong again, his sister is his biggest problem plus his boss who takes what isn’t offered!
Kwan enters Beau’s life when he is needing love and support.
Together they begin a journey, a journey that isn’t easy and that has many obstacles along the way…
Kwan can read Beau, he knows what Beau needs, love, stability, family, and friends, he is prepared to give Beau everything.
Their happy ever after is written flawlessly.
Congratulations Alex J Adams on a superb book.

Just the prologue, and wow! Tissues required!
All this book it's heavy, is an emotional rollercoaster. You cry, you scream, you love, you feel, you're angry... It is a very intense, in perfect Alex style.
Beau and Kwan are two beautiful souls, each one is strong and powerful in his very own way. Beau and his insecurities... it really touched my heart.
Aside from all the warnings, my advise is to reading it in between two "lighter" readings. That's what I did, and found it helpful.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Shew. This was a heavy one, and I adored every word of it.
Beau is struggling, simple as that. And while he may not be in the right headspace for it, he and Kwan make a go of it. Kwan is a little in over his head as well and what ensues is a story of trial and error that ends with a hard won HEA. This was a beautifully written story with the best characters and side characters ever!

Finding Beau left me with emotions I honestly had to close off at times. I’m not going to lie; it can be a tough read in some parts. Please read the trigger warnings carefully. I will say that one thing I love about Alex J. Adams is as much as her stories are fiction she writes about very real topics. This story can be someone’s biography and I think it could hit home. It’s the ugly of the world people sometimes like to sweep under the rug, just like Saving Ziggy. What I love about Alex J. Adams writing is she writes with so much emotion you can feel it come off the pages. You literally feel like you’re standing in the room with the characters going through the event with them. It’s fiction but feels so realistic.

Beau and Kwan are an incredible couple who have a lot to overcome. This story could have gone sideways. If the story had been written any other way, I don’t think it would have worked. But it flows beautifully. Nothing is constantly repeated. It wasn’t completely predictable, except for the HEA. The characters are engaging. Each one serves a purpose and I found it pretty true to life instead of very story like. Yes, they get their HEA in the end, but it’s a hell of a road.

I wasn’t sure where to begin with this story. I’ve read Alex J. Adams books from the beginning. I’ve watched her grow as an author and in each book I see her becoming an even better writer than she was in her last story. When she wrote Saving Ziggy I wasn’t sure how she could top it. I don’t know if she topped it with Finding Beau, but as I said, Saving Ziggy was pretty off the charts in my opinion. That said, Finding Beau was unexpected. I knew it was going to be emotional. I wouldn’t expect anything less from Miss Adams. I just didn’t expect this…. WOW!

I just finished this story and am feeling totally inadequate to write a review. This story is so beyond what I can express. I can not even imagine what the author had to go through to write this story.
It is a beautiful story about Beau a guy who nothing works in his favor. Short of being on the street, his life is hardly a step above. He blames his self for the awful things that happened to his family. He tries his best to look after his sister yet can’t keep her out of trouble. He can’t get a decent job and the requirements put upon him to keep the awful job he has are a crime. Then he meets Kwan.
Kwan is working hard to be a K – pop star. His family want him to take over the family business but it is nothing he wants. He also knows there is a time limit of popularity so he attends the uni for his backup plan. He is gay but not out. Then he meets Beau.
Their instant attraction is so heartwarming. Their journey to a relationship not so much. There are a number of events that enter into both of their lives that make a relationship improbable. Yet there is something between them that they can’t ignore. So many times I was tearful from the things that kept trying to keep them apart. Yet there were also parts where I could feel the joyful emotion they brought to each other. I don’t know how this author manages to do it but it is easy to feel the reality of the story. I was glad to have Ziggy and Marc play a big part of the story. I didn’t think after Saving Ziggy the next story would grab me like it did but this story sure is right up there. I can’t imagine what is next but I’ll be anxiously waiting to find out

Oh this was as good as aspected. 😍 Alex is Such a talented storyteller and I’m living for it.

This is the second book in her Liverpool boys series and I loved it so much. Beau and Kwan is my new favorite couple.

This book has a lot of hurt and heartache in it, which I love. Check out trigger warnings.

Beau is living in Liverpool with his drug addicted younger sister. Working as a bartender for a boss who takes advantages of him. But Beau has his love for the beach and the ocean. Here he finds some peace and quiet when life is too hard.

Kwan is the aspiring k-pop star with the kind eyes and blue hair. Kwan life is the polar opposite of Beau. A loving family who gives him time til live out he’s pop star dream. While he simultaneously go to the university.

The two men meet when the Kings, Kwans band has a gig at Beaus workplace. They both feel there is something there. After the gig Kwan is witnessing a bad situation and rescue Beau. ❤️

Phone number is exchanged. 😏

After that there’s a lot of misunderstandings and miscommunication, but Beau and Kwan finely become boyfriends.

A lot of heartbreaking things happening to beautiful Beau who struggles with his mental health and loneliness, it hurts that he never seems to get a break.

For me this is more Beaus story then Kwans. And that the moral of this story is that even though life knocks you down time and time again, you can get up on your feet again. But that you don’t need to do it alone, that you need to let people in and let them love an care for you. An if you let go of the guilt and the shame you can find your happily ever after.

Highly recommend. ❤️

First I need to say a bit about Alex J Adams. I've followed this author from the very beginning of her journey in publishing. I’ve watched her progress from writer to author and that progression shows in this book. The writing was tight and flows flawlessly from scene to scene, with characters that are well developed. You truly forget they aren't real.

Beautiful Beau, that's all they see him as. A beautiful face and physique, nothing more. A plaything to be used and abused. Life is not good to our Beau. He struggles with deep depression and guilt over his family's tragedy and sisters addiction and you feel everything he goes through. And then he meets Kwan.

Kwan has his own struggles with his aspiring KPop dreams along with his uni studies and family restaurant business. But he helps our Beau see his worth. And together they try to build a relationship.
Prepare to have your heart bleed and tissues at the ready because the reading of Beau's mental illness is raw and gritty but so worth it in the end. Of all Ms. Adams' pairings, these two are top of the list for me.

Wow, that was a beautiful but emotional and tense story involving two young men, one of whom has experienced way too many terrible things in his life. It just seems way too much, but then a blue-haired K-Pop star stumbles into his life.

It’s still not always easy, and there are definitely some extremely emotional lows as we witness the setbacks that depression can cause, but these two are stronger than they look, and as they find themselves they also find happiness that didn’t seem possible.

It’s a dark story, that is difficult to witness at times, but its ending is worth it and heartwarming.

Finding Beau was a highly complex and multi layered story that will make you cry, so emotional! Beau is a mess and just plain ready to give up. His sister is an addict, and his boss sexually abuses him. Kwan is in a K-pop band, they’re struggling to make it big. His manager plays favorites and is just plain a jerk. When he meets Beau, Beau finds himself. This was such an amazing roller coaster ride of emotions. Overall, a highly emotion charged, fantastic read! Well written with great pacing that will keep you glued to the pages. Highly recommend.

I wasn’t prepared for how emotional this read would be. Please please read the TW’s before reading. I strongly suggest a box of tissues for Beaus story.

Oh Beau, I bloody loved him so much. I finished this book needing to meet him for a cuppa and a cuddle. I met Beau briefly in saving Ziggy and was happy to be seeing more of him.

I really fell for Beau, Alex didn’t hold back and punches with his story and the prolog had me in tears before I fully knew Beau. Alex didn’t sugarcoat Beau’s mental health and I love her for this. This book in places is heavy, it crushes you with how emotional it is but my god does the ending make up for all of the tears and heartache.

Kwan while he has a few troubles of his own is the ray of sunshine Beau needs and deserves. He is there to support Beau never judging, never trying to fix him. He just want to help Beau be the person that he truly is.

Having read all Alex’s books Beaus story has hit me the most and cemented her as on of my favourite authors

I received a arc in return for my honest review

Another stellar literary piece by an amazing author who not only writes gripping tales of love, but writes them where you actually FEEL all the emotions the characters do as you read along.

Please heed the trigger warnings on this book as it does deal with very sensitive subject matter of attempted suicide and depression.

Let’s start with Beau. My dear and beloved Beau, who we first meet in a prior book from the author, “Saving Ziggy.”
Beau quite literally is living a very problematic and devastating life; and he blames himself for all of it. His sister is riddled with drug addiction, and Beau himself suffers from depression. He’s at his wits end with so many problems he’s having to deal with.

Enter Kwan. A budding and compassionate Kpop artist who enters Beau’s life at just the right time. He quite literally ends up saving Beau’s life. The two have the most amazing connection, and together are compatible as perfectly as can be. Of course there are issues, but Kwan is very patient and understanding.

This book has high levels of HOTNESS, has high intensity and angst at times. I cried throughout for my beloved Beau.

This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

PHENOMENAL! EMOTIONAL! MUST READ!
If you have a hard time with certain triggers, I hope you'll heed the trigger warning the author put at the front of the book. This is a very deep and emotional story. It feels so true to life. What happens through the story can happen in our every day lives. We just don't hear about them. Not until it's to late. Alex did an amazing job with the emotions and feelings one goes through when a person feels used, inadequate, alone, and as if there is no one who truly cares. Beau has the weight of the world on his shoulders and when Kwan comes into the picture he receives the love, support, and care that he needs. Kwan has a career he's trying to succeed at at the same time he meets Beau. There are stepping stones throughout their relationship. You will laugh, get frustrated, smile, and cry throughout Finding Beau! I feel the way this story was written was perfect. Alex brought out all the feels, emotions, and reactions one goes through when dealing with the situation that Beau dealt with.
The Liverpool Boys have a big piece of my heart. Have you ever felt as if you were a part of a story? One where you feel every bit of pain, joy, and happiness the characters go through? Finding Beau is one of those stories. Beau and Kwan will steal your heart and hold onto it even after you've finished the book. Make sure you have chocolate and tissues ready! This is one book you won't want to miss! 💙💙💙

This is a complex and emotional, sensitive, painful and beautiful story... some people's lives are sometimes so dramatic, there's so much pain and despair and there's no way you can know it without feeling your heart break into pieces...💔 I just wanted to hug and cry with Beau, the beautiful Beau…💙
Kwan is a budding K-pop star, he knows and understands that artistic life is hard and often short, but even so, he is trying to have his big break. He's dealing with the expectations of his family, two bandmates who are loyal friends, Cho and Sammy, a partner who makes his life difficult Kasem, and the manager Saul...
Beau is, well… poor dear Beau is a mess. His sister is a resentful drug addict he tries to help over and over and over and over… and the boss is a scoundrel who makes things very difficult for Beau with threats and abuse… no more spoilers here!
The tension and level of anguish are high and disagreements are inevitable, after all, the two of them have a lot to deal with on their plates… We find the adorable Ziggy and Marc from the previous book and the couple Kenny and Ty, good friends besides Cho and Sammy, oh, and Hana, Kwan's sister...she's amazing!
When Kwan and Beau finally meet, it's beautiful, it's hot, it's perfect, it's life, it's finding yourself right there and finding your place in the world, having support and acceptance…and they're both deserve it so much!!💙

My poor beating heart...

This is Beau's story! Beautiful Beau. With the crooked smile and beautiful blue eyes. A flicker of deep-rooted sadness behind those blue eyes, that went unnoticed. All anybody saw was his beauty, until... there was Kwan.

Beau's story is one of trauma, regret and desperation. Most of all though, is a story of a beautiful connection! A life saving connection. One that brought hope even with all the hurdles and obstacles in their way. Beau and Kwan broke me, but every tear was worth every second of this heartbreaking story. Because the end definitely justified the means.

This is book two in the Liverpool Boys series, with returning characters from book one, Ziggy and Marc! I absolutely adored getting to see them again and the support system they offered our Beau. If you've not read Saving Ziggy, I recommend starting there before Finding Beau. It will make your reading experience all the better. I absolutely adored this read and I'm desperately waiting for the next in this wonderful series. Alex J. Adams writes with such beauty and always brings depth filled characters and emotionally investing stories.

Well done. Powerful. Emotionally wrought. Strong. Loving. When I finished Finding Beau last night all I could say was wow. This morning a few more words come to mind. They all speak to the emotions of the story for me anyway.

Beau is a secondary character from Saving Ziggy. In this book, we get to know him. Why is he struggling? Why does he love the ocean so much? Why is Megan the way she is? So many questions and for the really curious me is Kwan a good guy? Oh Kwan. Thank you, thank you for remembering that small snippet of information given to you.

There is so much to rave about it in this book. From the power with which Alex J. Adams writes, to her ability to bring real life mental health and drug abuse issues into to her book with sensitivity and caring, and last but not least the healing that can take place when love is found. Usually I sit on my reviews for 24 hours, it helps if I want to change my wording or to help me catch spelling errors. Just like Ziggy, I don’t want to sit on this review, I want to put it out there and hope it finds that one reader that will give Finding Beau a chance preferably after they read Saving Ziggy.

A first for me by this author and I was definitely not disappointed. Starting with a gut wrenching scene, I knew from that moment on I found a new favorite. Her writing style was absolutely mesmerizing, with amazing character development skills. Which was highly appreciated since I have yet to read Saving Ziggy.

Beau and Kwan’s journey was an emotional one filled with turmoil, sparks, and excitement. Meeting at a pivotal moment, their connection deep, yet still forced to find themselves. And, the mental health issues of this book were appreciated, along with the struggles of coming out while learning self-acceptance.

An amazing first read for me, especially with the level of mental health brought to light in this book. The in-depth discussions of the consequences of not taking care of your mental health was accurate and once again, greatly appreciated. The intimate scenes were scorching, with versatile characters, which is always welcome. Definitely recommend and heading to read the first one.

Triggers might apply for some.

This is book two in the Liverpool boys series.
Alex J. Adams did it again, a heartfelt book which I feel like I went through the wringer with all the emotional upheavel. My heart ached and rejoiced, especially for for Beau. I was happy to read that he, with help, is managing his depressions better and is way furher away from the precipice.
And Kwan choosing what he want and needed and being such a real support for Beau.
I liked that Ziggy and Marc are very present in this book as friends to Beau and helping and supporting him.
About the side characters: I wished so much bad things would happen to them f.i. Bernie.
To me the author gave mental health a platform in way that is realistic, it is not a straight line to recovery for so many it is a way of finding balance and she shows that perfectly.

I kindly received an arc and I am leaving my honest review.

An emotional roller-coaster, full of feels and drama. 👌❤️
After reading Saving Ziggy, I knew my heart would be broken then put together with this book as well. Beau’s self-blaming and insecurities were so realistic, every page hurt to read.
Caught between taking care of his sister with drug addiction, and trying to escape advances from his nasty boss, Beau meets Kwan, a member of a K-pop band. Kwan is not there to save Beau, nor to change him. He finds him and with that Beau finds himself as well. They match on a visceral level and fully deserve the HEA they got in this book. Amazing, emotional read!

❤️

This is a great follow up to Ziggy but I think it could comfortably be read as a stand alone. When we meet Beau he’s having a pretty difficult time and struggling under a heavy weight of guilt. This author has done a good job showing the challenges of living with grief, guilt and feeling worthless. It’s tough to read at times as Beau’s sorrow really drips from the pages. Kwan brings light and hope into Beau’s life with an instant connection and I loved seeing their relationship grow. One of the elements I loved the most about this story is that Kwan is in a Kpop group, it’s not something I’ve read in MM before I and really enjoyed their dynamic and have my fingers crossed for a Kings series!!!!!! Highly recommend this story 💕 five stars ⭐️

This book was fantastically written. I love that the author delved into real life problems. Beau is a beautiful boy with the weight of the world seemingly on his young shoulders. It’s a perfect example that all that glitters isn’t gold. He is beautifully broken and I love the realness of his character. Enter Kwan, who is trying to become a pop star, still hidden in the closet to his family. So many frustrating misunderstandings and so much heartache but they finally got their HEA. I admit this book took me on an emotional roller coaster and I had to take a few breathers. I wanted to reach into the book and protect Beau so much. The trigger warnings are there for a reason. Heed them well but definitely read this amazingly touching story.

Wow! Alex J Adams continues to show why she’s quickly become a one click author for me. She’s brought all of the emotions in Finding Beau, a perfectly balanced story full of feelings, struggles, and spicy scenes before reaching a hard fought happily ever after. In Finding Beau, Book 2 in The Liverpool Boys series, we meet Beau, a young man struggling through life as he tries to make ends meet and support his sister Megan. He carries so much misplaced guilt over a tragedy that was not his fault at all and feels responsible for her life choices and addiction. He ignores his own mental health issues and suffers through so much, making this a very emotional story that brought tears to my eyes and I wanted to reach through the pages and just hug him. When Beau meets upcoming K-pop star Kwan, their connection is instant but neither know quite how to navigate the roadblocks in their way. Beau has never dated and Kwan lives hours away balancing his music career and education and hasn’t come out to his band mates or family. Throughout the story, I felt so connected to both Beau & Kwan, feeling their frustration as they deal with everything they have going on in their lives while trying to make time for each other. They seemed to be the calm in the storm for each other and my heart shattered for Beau when a series of events cause his mental health to spiral out of control. Alex did an amazing job writing about some very sensitive issues in this book, subjects that I’ve seldom seen tackled so well. I highly recommend this story, but be sure to check the trigger warnings.

I felt a connection to this series right away, starting with Saving Ziggy. Finding Beau was so full of emotions on all levels, it gave me a definite book hangover. I love the way Alex J. Adams writes and the soul she puts into her words and brings out all the emotions that will make you fall to your knees. I love feeling like I am apart of the story and know the characters as if they are my friends. Beau and Kwan were a match, finding their way and give each other the strength to survive their lives together. Absolutely was glued to the pages from start to finish. Great read
