I was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario where I attended Saltfleet High School and McMaster University. I've spent most of my life fighting for the little guy in one form or another, advocating for the poor, for environmental sustainability, for minority rights.

Throughout my twenties, I wrote about five novels and threw them all out because they weren't very good. But I improved and honed my skills with each new manuscript. About two years ago, I had an offer from a traditional publishing house, but I chose to go indie instead. Writing is my passion; if I could dedicate myself to one thing, it would be bringing the ideas in my head to life.

great reading but do not listen to it

Have loved reading this book collection at the start I loved listening to it as well, it meant I could listen when driving to the city or even be working on my embroidery projects.

Then one day when I turned on the audio book only to find the audio book has been butchered, they had changed the voice that sounded so out of place, but when they added stupid sound effects of the doors and so much more it was no longer enjoyable to listen to.

When I am reading a book my mind has always filled in the blanks to enrich the story thus has been something since I was a small child and Mom would read to me every night, she would ask me was I was picturing in my mind. She taught me to envision the story and build onto it.

But when they changed the voices used for Jake and Anna to some over exited male voice with a face accent, an American not a Candian voice mind you it became pathetic and very much annoying.

I regret paying good money for the audio books that became fake and poorly read. What was once a great enjoyment became a nail biting irritation like fingernails being dragged down a blackboard.

Read the books yes it has so many nail biting moments, I love working through the twists in the story to try and work out the twist before it is revealed. 9 out 10 I have gotten it right lol. But the second half of all the audio books are just a waste of money.

I prefer a real human reading a book their voices have such a richness that the AI just cannot impart at all.
