America is under attack. Saboteurs infiltrate the country to wreak havoc on unexpected - and undefended - targets. And danger strikes close to home, forcing former SEAL “Axe,” brilliant young intelligence analyst Haley, and retired Admiral Nalen to fight for their lives.
Mere days after their latest efforts to prevent World War III, the team is thrown back into the fire against mysterious new enemies.
The team is in the dark, struggling to identify their adversaries and uncover the plot against the country.
They're outmatched and outgunned.
But with Haley, they are never outsmarted.
With Axe, they are never out of the fight.
Will the combined forces of America’s enemies succeed?
Or can Axe and Haley stay alive long enough to save the United States from an unimaginable fate?
As a kid, I wanted to be a writer. After several fun careers, I've finally realized that dream.
It's both easier and more difficult than I thought it would be. When the words are flowing, it's miraculous. I feel like I'm taking dictation, typing the words that are meant to be written.
When the ideas don't come, I go for a run, think about what I would love to read, then start again.
Little by little, stories take shape, characters get into trouble, work their way out, and a book gets written.
Now, with over 17,000 5-star reviews of my books, I feel incredibly blessed that people enjoy my stories.

When not writing, I'm an avid hiker and photographer. I love getting out in nature to take pictures.
That was The Coolest Moment of My Life! This book is the fourth in a series that needs to be read in order. There are overreaching story arcs that continue between books and are necessary to understand the current book. This story is a multi-faceted plot that concerns a cooperative effort of several nations and groups who are trying to topple the US government. The book is pretty clean with no bad language or on-screen intimacy. There is violence, but not a lot of gore. One thing that I really appreciated about this episode, is the open praying to God for help, mercy, and all the other things that people in serious situations tend to pray for. These books do not come close to the threshold of causing nightmares. I could see this becoming a movie or Television series. I have been binge-reading these books and am off to start book 5 now.
okay, I want to win the contest re: who gets to claim bragging rights for giving Haley her call sign! oh, I know she's being called "Blondie" thus far, but Axe and Hammer raise a talking point about the obvious and unorigional, very predictable flavor of that one. so then the two warriors start tossing out better possibilities but without finding The One. that's cause I have it under lock and key: can it be anything else but "Hunch"? do a word search on your manuscripts. it drips off the pages while she's at work and gets ducked and dodged by her higher ups and team mates throughout the series. so, Mr. B.L., you can have this suggestion free. I just want bragging rights...
I've stuck with the Brad Lee series largely because of the author's writing style. Although the plot does require a considerable "suspension of disbelief," the characters are well-developed and the story line is entertaining. It is quite a reach that this "rag tag" group of analysts and "assets" repeatedly save the country from peril, over and over again; and with little or no help from the outside. However, the background and rationale Lee provides makes you want to believe that "this is the way it has to be!" Again, all in all, very entertaining. I will await the final book in the series.
These are fun light entertainment, not to be taken too seriously Some of the escapades the direct action team get up to, you wonder why they would and even when they do, how they manage it without dying, but it's viable if you believe in a lot of luck The analysts make jumps of intuition that would make even the most gullible question their conclusions, yet you have experienced operative going along with them without question, just because they have a "gut feel" If you can get past all of that , you'll love these books. I can and do :)
I enjoyed every action filled page! From the first page I had a difficult time putting the book down. The characters are well developed and interesting. An appreciation of the SEALS and understanding of their dedication and commitment has created an even deeper respect of what they do to keep us safe and how much we owe them. Thanks to Brad Lee for the books that opened my eyes more to the dangers of our world and our wonderful "Guardian Angels" in our government and Military that watch over us and allow us to fee safe.
Four books in a row; all with great story lines. it certainly makes you look forward to the next one. Brad Lee has a writing style similar to James Rollins (one of my favorites), just less serious in its content. He takes the story, divides into several sub-plots and keeps you interested in each along the way. Having developed many interesting characters keeps you constantly vested in their success. A very good series.
I still enjoy the characters, though I’m getting a little weary of Hayley’s illogical leaps of logic. Only so much can be attributed to intuition. I wish the author gave his people — and us! — a little more to go on (though I understand this is Lee’s schtick).
The verisimilitude is first rate, Lee’s obviously done a ton of research. Despite my qualms I’ll continue reading the series with interest.
A great read. Non stop action beginning to the end. This certainly was most enjoyable, so far. Lot to do, gaining help along the way. I believe Marianna Rodriguez will be a great 5th member to the team. I'm not sure how long Axe and Haley are going to be able to continue the rough side. Just about ended their this time around. You will not be disappointed with this case paced read. Give it a shot. They just keep getting better.
Start from the beginning and then charge through complex and intriguing plots with amazing characters who meet the challenges at every turn. We want these heroes on our side. All the installments are richly detailed and fast paced action. I hope Mr Lee has more of Axe, Blondie and Hammer to share.
I’m a stickler for reading books in order. The 4th novel in this series is exceptionally well plotted, rising to another level - dare I say, surpassing Clancy? Unlike some of his work (Clancy’s) that got bogged down in military minutiae, Lee’s latest book deftly walks the balance of action, exposition and dialogue. Highly entertaining reading!
Axe, Haley and the team are at it again when America is threatened. Between the analysts and the fighter they work as a team to uncover threats and take the necessary actions to protect and defend. Along the way the team interacts with like minded warriors and sometimes puck up s new team member.
While complexities are a large part of their lives, what Hailey actually thrives on, this particular case may be the one that brings them all to their knees. It's an intense, suspenseful, and intriguing story that you certainly won't want to miss! I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.
I'm really into this fast paced exciting series. Anticipation grows with each chapter. Reading these adventures makes you wonder if this could or would be happening in our country. I recommend these books for everyone. We need to get American back on track. It feels like were being taken down from within.
I have enjoyed the books in this series and will start book 5 soon. There is no down time in the action… don’t have worry about your thoughts drifting I recommend to anyone wanting to be entertained. I warn you at some point of the thought of “could this really happen?”
I super enjoyed this entire series. I liked that I felt like a part of the story. The plots are awesome and the characters, though flawed, kept it real. Lots of action, suspense and mystery. I highly recommend
Great action adventure that leaves you wanting more. The author has done a great job blending characters, backgrounds and technicals into page turning entertainment.
A quick paced action story with enough whimsy to taunt you and enough fact to sate your inner critic. Almost makes me think this is doable as an agency.... But we know, nah!
The team is growing...and getting smaller as simultaneous battles rage. Will they make it as they operate in the field sometimes as a force of one? In the end, they still must figure out the puzzle in time to save the day. It might be close.
Another win for Brad Lee, who, I swear, took it up a notch. Great plot, awesome pace, and scary $#!+ The way he does these mini-plots, then brings them all together is way cool. Now, on to Book 5!!
I have read all of the previous books in series. This one is another page turner. Lots of interesting bad characters. You will enjoy reading this book.😊
I'm amazed that this author can write so many fantastic novels, I hope that he never stops writing. His books are some of the best Entertainment I have read and worth the time to read them. Thank you for a very fun entertaining read.
Gave the first three 5 Stars…this one not so much. I’ve gotten very tired of Axe and Haley being always wounded to near death. Either kill them off or do away with with them being severely injured in every book
The characters are great and relatable, not that I know many intelligence analysts or Seals, lol but they give you the vibe of the guy or girl next door. Love the action! Can't wait to read the next book!
A team of five is needed this series is non stop action the story line is so believable you u could be reading it in a paper. Characters seem so real keep it up
Great characters, a little exaggerated small team tackling big challenges, but well done. Looking forward to Brad creating the next few in this series.
