I.S.S. #4

Loving Nightmares

Rate this book
I would go to war to protect the nightmares I loved.

War was at our doorstep threatening to kill my father, and with him were enough humans that if battle ensued, it would make national headlines. Ones that would only further divide and enhance the hatred between humans and nightmares.

War had to be defeated, I just didn’t know how.

My answer comes in the unlikeliest of avenues—traveling across the world to a remote island to find a group of people I’d never met but couldn’t consider strangers.

With their help, we would be able to break the compulsion that allowed War to hold the humans hostage…and hopefully bring an end to this for once and for all.

Loving Nightmares is the final book in the ISS series. Join Arabella and her possessive nightmares as one human woman finds the monster within herself to protect those she loves. The ISS series is promised to feature terrifying monsters that include everything from the literal monster under the bed to Lucifer’s overbearing son, the prince of Hell.

If you love large harems, brilliant, sassy, but slightly naive female main characters with no fear, and a thrilling adventure filled with steam, vengeance, and a happily-ever-after, then you are absolutely going to love this.

Warning: This medium-fast burn RH contains several dark themes from swearing, violence, and sexual themes suitable for +18.

⭐️⭐️⭐️for the harem.

Very disappointed how this series ended up going. I have more detailed reviews on the first 3 books in this series but I couldn’t be bothered for this one.

Weak storyline didn’t like her powers or anything about the FMC really.

The harem is the only reason I stuck it out till the end.
This was boring and had very little sexy times for such a big harem.

Safe
No OW anything
Boring as fuck

The epilogue was cute but I would have loved more about the kids and maybe just MORE.

M. Sinclair, Do not stop writing! This series is ❤️🔥

This Series was one that I have wanted to read for a while, but knew that I would need a few days, even a week, to read this and allow me to focus on all that was being given. That is why it has taken me a couple of years to read the whole series. (My Preference for waiting on that long!!!)

The first book will hook you in and not let you go till the end of the series. I love that M. Sinclair and her ability to describe each MMC multiple times and include each and every one in all the books, and not feel left out. It can be hard with many MMCs to include each for a whole series, and she did it wonderfully. Each MMC was thought out and made beautifully. The FMC was strong and something that I think was done beautifully as well.

Each Book in the series was done well, and I would ONLY change ONE THING which is....
The time frame of the series was only a few weeks..... and SO MUCH happens....
I want to see the plot match the timeline. I want to see how they would do long-term. We have these relationships and plots that are mixed together (which is fine), but it needs to be realistic... (In my opinion, I would have just loved to have book before the plot of War took place- I felt like it was needed to know what is going on before the series started (Hope this makes sense)

Even with the timeframe, I would so recommend this series!

Gah! I absolutely loved this series and everything about it. It’s safe, very sweet and cute, especially with all the banter between Saint and Amun, which I loved. I also loved the sweet moments between everyone. I do wish there had been group scenes with Arabella and her men. Still, that doesn’t make the series any less enjoyable. I’ll definitely reread this series again in the future🥰🤭

Following on from the shock with War they discover things are far worse than what they thought! The spread of his hate is far reaching and they’re not sure they have the resources to fight back 😩 Especially with their focus being on protecting their home, the Institute first and all the nightmares it’s home too!
Arabellas men really have to come together in this one to protect their human lady but as she discovers more and more about herself …. She inevitably becomes more in danger which sparks up their protective natures even more 🥰🥰 despite their bickering and banter them, which is highly amusing and really adds to their family nature, they put aside their differences at the right times 🌶️🌶️
Can a secret hidden away for years and years help them to save the nightmares and the humans from the hold of a god terror?!?! Or are Arabella and her men biting off more than they can chew?! 😬
I loved the epilogues in this for Arabella and her guys it’s all you could want for their family unit ☺️

The last book of the I.S.S. series is a perfect ending for this series. Arabella and her Nightmares have trials to face in order to save the institute as well as all Nightmares and humans from War’s machinations. Arabella is able to seal her mate bond with her remaining mates. This book has action, drama, steam and a few surprises for good measure. Ms. Sinclair has written these characters to be both monstrous and loving. The storyline’s ending left me satisfied with how it concluded. I am sad to see these characters go, but I am happy with how the series ended.

Good but

This was one of my favorite reads and I’ve been looking forward to the final book but honestly it wasn’t given what I thought it would. The book was good definitely not as good as the others. Also feel like the finale battle with War was lack luster and and nothing to write home about.

This series was interesting at times but I admit to getting bored sometimes
The h already had 6 mates at the beginning which I understood, they'd been around for years and the only reason they hadn't actually gotten together was because they feared they'd hurt her
I really don't think the 2 additional mates were necessary, because they were just dropped in we had an instaconnection to explain it away
Razur was annoying at times throughout, she'd already mated with some of the other nightmares so his reluctance was stupid atp
War is finally defeated in this one and the H and her guys settle into a new normal
Absolutely loved the epilogues
They'd have sex in some truly weird ass places and times
Lovely j/p heroes who were all gaga for her

Okay i can admit the ending was really cute with all the kids and the goth wedding. It's just that this series didn't really have any substance. I've realised i need a good story along with my smut for me to enjoy it. The story is there, the MC has awesome powers but the constant repetition was so fucking annoying. Every mate POV was how much they loved her, how much they wanted her and how hot she was. In the beginning it was cute but by book two I was over it. Esp Arabella's POV where she describes their features over and over again EACH time one of them has her attention. And the 🌶 scenes were just plain weird. Happening at random times. Sometimes even during battles or confrontations. Also lava d*ck...really?! Bigger than a soda can?! Gold c*m! I mean some of this shit was ridiculous. Yes I'm ranting. Yes it was my choice to read all four books but it was like a train wreck I literally couldn't look away from until the end. At random times during the day I'd find myself thinking of how she has 8 mates. Then the old lady mentioned that "sis metas" could have up to 15 mates. FIFTEEN! Imagine managing 15 men!

Overall Series Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Comfort: 💗💗.5

I’m giving the I.S.S. series (Arabella’s story, books 1 to 4) a solid 5 stars. This saga was genuinely such an enjoyable ride, and I really liked the overall plot. I flew through these books.

The series follows Arabella, a powerful FMC who ends up bonded to eight mates 😮‍💨✨ each with distinct personalities, abilities, and archetypes that actually feel different from one another. I really appreciated how the author didn’t blur them together. Every mate brings something unique to the group dynamic, and their individual connections with Arabella feel super intentional and meaningful. Which I always notice and always appreciate.

One of the strongest aspects of this series is the concept of nightmares as an actual species 🖤 That alone hooked me. It adds a dark, creative edge to the worldbuilding without tipping into unnecessary angst (thankfully). The overarching plot is well-paced, and each book ends with a cliffhanger that makes it almost impossible not to keep reading 👀📖 “Just one more chapter” *proceeds to stay awake til 3 am* kind of situation 🤭

The tone sits in the perfect spot:
• Not heavy angst
• Not pure fluff either
Just grounded characters who explore their relationship, exchange top-tier banter, and casually save the world.

There’s no harem drama, no betrayal arcs, and no “other woman” nonsense. Instead, the MMCs are fully obsessed with Arabella in the best way possible. They’re fiercely loyal, protective, and refreshingly communicative. Their relationship is surprisingly wholesome considering the darker elements 🫶🏻 I was smiling more than I expected, not gonna lie.

🔮 Tropes You’ll Find
• Chosen one vibes
• Possessive / devoted mates
• Found family
• Touch-her-and-die energy
• Different powers & supernatural abilities
• Fated mates
• HEA

(If any of those tropes are your weakness… yeah, same 😌)

🖤 Final Thoughts
Overall, this was a really enjoyable read 💕📚 especially if you love low-drama harems, devoted MMCs, and creative paranormal concepts. I’d absolutely recommend it ✨ and yes, I would read more in this world without hesitation.

3.5⭐️

I have loved this series and been hooked since book 1, and even though I’m really frickin sad it’s over, the ending was sooo dang good. As this book picked up right where the last left off, we didn’t miss a thing, and were back in the middle of the confrontation at the Institute with WAR. Arabella and her mates, with a hugely helpful distraction from her father, were able to get enough of a reprieve from WAR to figure out what they needed to do to defeat him once and for all. While trying to figure it all out, they were shocked to find out the extent of WARs reach and knew they were running out of time.

Gah, so much going on in this last book! Lol. Not only did we get the action from fighting WAR, we also got to watch the relationships between Arabella and her mates grow as they got more comfortable with each other and completed their bonds. Not to mention, lots more smexy time in this book. So much yummy possessive, Alpha energy. 🤤 It was also really cool to see Arabella come into her powers and to see what not only her nightmares could do, but other nightmares too.

Overall, This book and this series are 10/10! It’s such a unique story, and I have loved all the characters and seeing them develop throughout. I also, appreciated the extra epilogues and am so glad they were included. Definitely a must read! Can’t wait to read the next series from M Sinclair! ❤️

Very Excited for this final book

Boy, am I glad I re read the series again a third time, so I could be fully up to date to read this final book. I was so excited for this book to come out. I love how calm Ara is when $h!t goes down with her guys, but put them in danger and she goes all in. I love how she learned more about her species of Nightmare, with each book. Her character developed perfectly, it was a bit predictable in some spots but exciting all the same. She takes care of them all, and is protective of all Nightmares. I loved how easily it picked back up again at the start of this book. The only spot I wasn’t a huge fan of, the climax of the book was closer to the middle than closer to the end. I felt the ending was a bit prolonged even though it closed the series well. Overall, I have to say this is one of my top favorite series. My favorite was definitely the first book. Gosh I just loved how everything flowed, all the characters being introduced and reading their thoughts and seeing how everything played out. Can’t wait to see what’s next for M. Sinclair.

3.5*

The very first book of this series was perfection, the middle two kinda sucked, and this last book is squarely in the middle rounding out the series in a somewhat satisfying way. My overall gripe with this series is that the chemistry and pining that was built up in the first book went away over the following books because 1) she had so many men that it was hard to build that with each guy in such a short amount of pages, and 2) the plot literally had them so busy that they almost never had the time to further develop the relationships. What I wish would have happened was that the majority of the series be set at the institute, and have low enough stakes that those relationships would have had the time to be explored more thoroughly. I mean we never even got a steamy scene with multiple characters even though it was teased or mentioned as an afterthought. This book helped bridge the gap between the different books, and wrap everything up, but it still lacked the magic of the first book. Overall, I'm so disappointed in the series as a whole because of how much I loved the first book. However, this wasn't a bad book. It's just not what I hoped for.

Picking right back up after that devious cliffhanger in book 3 we are thrust straight into action with Arabella and her mates. War is out for blood and the overall initial feeling of this book is momentarily bleak. Yet, if there is one thing we’ve learned from this series it is that Arabella is determined to bring peace to the nightmare community and with the stakes higher than ever she is fighting for her family and others!

This series is definitely lighthearted and spicy but I appreciate the way the plot has been woven into the story and how it holds its own as the story progresses. What started as a cute spicy nightmare romance turned into a battle for freedom against hate while finding your own inner strength.

Loving Nightmares does not skimp on the excitement! And yes that does include spice! Secrets are still unfolding - the anticipation up to this point has kept me on the edge of my seat! Finishing with a HEA I am just not ready to let go of these characters despite ending exactly where it should have. Each of Arabella’s mates have grown throughout this series and I have enjoyed every moment of experiencing the story through their POV. Their love and dedication towards Arabella was inspiring! The cliche Ick moments we would have normally experienced with their behavior was absent due to the perfect character building expressing how natural the need to protect and care for are. Arabella herself had evolved into a strong and powerful woman, the fight within her and compassion for others means you can’t help but love her!

M. Sinclair is the Queen of Hot, Psycho, Obsessive men and Loving nightmares took it to the next level! As always I can’t wait for the next adventure she creates!

I absolutely love this series. It is one that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. We have Arabella and her nightmares that absolutely in love and that love is felt throughout the entire series. She is this incredibly sweet and caring young lady that you can just feel it throughout the story. The nightmares are surly grumpy at times but oh so protective. Then they can be extremely scary when they need to be. They chemistry between them is amazingly strong and definitely felt. Sadly this is the final book for Arabella and her nightmares but boy was it good. We get to see how strong she really is. I love how well the story is written and developed. It has action, drama, suspense, with some sexy moments. I loved the extended epilogue as it gives a bit of what their future is like. It was one of the series that once I started read one of the books I couldn’t put it down. This is absolutely a must read and does not disappoint.

M. Sinclair did it again! I honestly loved all of these characters and even though I'm sad their story is over, I was happy to see them get their HEA.

After the shocking leave off of the last book, we know that this next phase for our characters is not going to be good. Things are so much worse off than they thought they were. The hate that War has spread is so far-reaching, and honestly, they're not sure if they have the ability to fight back.

Arabella and her men are something else in this book. The guys all amp up their protectiveness when she becomes in even more danger than they originally thought. There are plenty of lighter moments with the banter that these guys have between them. It shows that they can put aside differences and create a stranger familial bond between them all. I love that Arabella has gotten stronger the further the story goes on and we can see how much she loves her nightmares. Is the hidden secret enough to help them with this battle? You'll have to read in order to find out!

The epilogue, oh my gosh. It was the cutest ever, and I loved what we got to witness with all of them and to see the nightmares in a different light. SO cute.

My review is on all the series of
(I.S.S books 1-4). These four books were all in my option 5 ⭐️ worthy. I haven't read many monster/ dark romances. But I was definitely feeling this series. The books are well written in my option, they have a lot for everyone... Spice, monster nightmares, human, action, war, and much more. They are action-packed and just so fun to read. I love the interaction between Arabella and all 8 of her nightmonsters. I love how she didn't fear any of them. I loved how dangerous they were and how they took care of business, all of them, but they had a soft spot for their mate. It'll just blow you away. Monsters, monsters fighting wars between humans and other God nightmares and just a lot of steamy hot scenes between Arabella and her mates as they all claim her and she claims them. This series has it all!

This series has been my go-to happy place that I read over and over and never get bored. A sugary sweet FMC that doesn't realize her own power and the incredibly powerful/scary Nightmares that turn into giant teddy bears for her. M Sinclair does psychotic but devoted MMCs better than almost anyone.

So as you can imagine I had really high expectations for this book since it concludes my favorite series ever. But it was perfect. It was absolutely almost everything I could have wanted. We watched her connect with all of her mates, grow into her powers and meet others like her, and that second epilogue was just adorable!

Thank you M Sinclair for giving this series the ending it deserved.

I’m so glad that Arabella and her nightmares got their happily ever after. We pick up with the fight against War and they do everything in their power to try to find a way to defeat him. Along the way, Arabella grows into her powers and can understand them better. Her nightmares are there every step of the way and are the best mates. They are protective and possessive but are also understanding how she doesn’t want to stand back while everyone else does the fighting. Their relationships are just the sweetest, I absolutely loved all of them. They want a better world for nightmares and humans and will do everything in their power to ensure it. I loved this series and couldn’t have asked for a better ending!

This was the perfect conclusion to Arabella and her mates story! With a troublesome foe in their way, Arabella and her mates must fight to protect both their home and the safety of both nightmares and humans across the nation. Arabella and her mates do everything possible to protect those they love. Reaching out for help from an unexpected ally, Arabella and her mates set forth to create a better future for everyone, including the family they are building. I absolutely LOVED this book from beginning to end!! While I am sad to see this series come to an end, I am beyond thrilled with this HEA of from Arabella and her mates. A MUST READ indeed.

Finale of the I.S.S. Series you find Arabella and her mates strategizing to take out War and have peace for her home, nightmares, and humans alike. The story behind sis meta is a PNR wet dream. I love the monsters and especially Arabella’s mates. Yum. You see her mate markings with the rest of her men in this book and it is spiiiiicy! Love Arabella’s bravery, morality, and kindness. She’s a badA B and isn’t afraid to show it. I love how her mates intersect and even their bickering is hella funny. It was a great wrap up to the series with an awesome and well-rounded HEA. Please read this book, you won’t regret it. Even the side characters are intriguing and fun!

This finale continues right from where book three stopped. The God terror, War, thinks he holds all the cards, pitting humans and nightmares against each other and feeding off the fallout, however he reckoned without Arabella and her mates.

Loving Nightmares is a very fitting title, not only does Arabella complete all her bonds but the fate of all nightmares could be at risk unless they can find a way to stop War in his tracks.

There's danger, a lost community, spice and lots of gorgeous loving, I raced through the book and now feel bereft but super happy with the ending and the two epilogues. M.Sinclair tied Arabella and her mates story up very nicely indeed.

This series is PHENOMENAL. I cannot recommend this enough if you love monsters and paranormal and legend. The ISS world is so different than anything M has written. It's still paranormal, but the concept of nightmares being real beings is something I never would have fathomed. This, like most of her books, makes you root for the antihero and the strong FMC while making you simultaneously question if the "good guys" are really that good. I love that Arabella is strong in an intellectual way and she is loved so much for it by her guys. And, of course, in true M fashion its hawt as heck!!! Another amazing series by one of my all time fave authors!!

Arabella gets her finale and I get to fall in love with these nightmares all over again. Another action packed, fast moving and steamy addition to this series, I was sad to say goodbye to these characters but so happy to see them get a HEA (which is totally not a spoiler.) The journey to it is filled with peril and nasty characters and some big surprises. I have really enjoyed all of these books, it is such a fun and different universe, although with each universe this author creates, my admiration for her grows! Arabella is a sweet and lovely character, who just so happens to be oh so much more than that. She is smart, funny and super intelligent and deserves all the coffee in the world!

Monstrously Epic Conclusion!

Another absolutely stellar conclusion for this author! I love the fact we get such a wonderful glimpse into their “happily ever after!”
Arabella was such a neat heroine, strong as can be, but endlessly sweet. It’s so refreshing to have a heroine who can be a bad babe without being obnoxious.
I loved all of her men, and the dynamics between them were wonderful.
It was a well paced, fun read, and I couldn’t put it down. Her editing team has really stepped it up!

Five very huge stars, for a fantastically satisfying conclusion to a wonderful series!

WAR is here!!

War has come to the Institute and it is up to everyone to stop him! Arabella and her Nightmares along with the help of some new friends have to come up with a way not only to stop War once and for all but stop the hate from the regular humans.

But don't worry it is not all doom and gloom. Arabella still has time for guys and there are some very hot scenes that help break up the tension. This is the final installment of the I.S.S series but I hope not of the world. The extra bonuses at the end of the book is just the icing on the cake!! Well done M.Sinclair!!  It was amazing!!

The conclusion…

The last book in this series, this book picks up exactly where the last one left us hanging. (Rude! 😂) in a stand-off with War holding Aradbella’s father hostage.
Arabella grows into her abilities, and her Nightmares (love these guys, seriously!) are there… I would say by her side but let’s face it; these guys are her shield.
They stand in front, beside and behind her. I adore their possessiveness and protectiveness.
I’m going to leave it at that, other than to say: I enjoyed the pacing on this one. Nothing came off as too abrupt or slow, and ALL the questions get answered. Yay. I especially enjoyed that HEA.
Definitely recommend this series.

This is the 4th and final book in the I.S.S series, and this book picks up right where book 3 ended. Our girl Arabella and her guys have a couple more battles to finish and another journey to take together. Even with everything that is going on, Arabella’s guys still show there protectiveness and their sweet side that I absolutely love! Over all, I’m so sad that this series is complete and that I have to say goodbye to Arabella and her guys! But M. Sinclair just has a way with her writing that makes her story’s flow very well and definitely keep you hooked from page 1. And for that reason I cannot wait to see what she writes next!!

Oh wow. What a finale for Arabella and her monsters! I have loved her story from the start and although I am so so happy with how it ended, I am also so sad that we won't be getting another book about them all!

This book picks up where book 3 left us, and I honestly couldn't put it down, I was so drawn in to their world and needed to see what was going to happen next!

If you have gotten this far into Arabella's story then you need to read this book ASAP. It is incredible and I am constantly blown away by how M Sinclair writes and can make me love these characters so much! I won't be giving any spoilers, so you need to go read it.

I cannot wait to see what M comes up with next! 💜
