Rate this book
Lady Caroline Russell is a fiery lady with a passion for horses, and a disdain for finding suitors, despite her mother's expectation of marrying a rich lord. When she and her father find themselves a horse they are unable to handle, she finds the recently appeared trainer from Kentucky the only solution to their problem. However, after her very first encounter with him, she realises it is best to try and focus on her beloved horse to avoid being lost in the handsome trainer’s eyes…

Will Caroline manage to convince him to come to her aid and share more than his training wisdom with her?

Elias Sorensen is a world-renowned horse trainer with a thriving ranch in his home-state of Kentucky. With a successful business in England and Europe alike, he is not only sought after for his racing expertise, but he has also caught the attention of London’s ladies. However, her gentle eyes and unique passion seem to be worth the hassle…

Little did he know just how much this woman would mean to him…

The tenderness between Caroline and Elias grows slowly but strongly, and they only realise it when they reach a point of no return. A life full of hope and promise.
What a lovely and well written piece I loved it. A horse trainer from America and a lady in need of help with a horse are brought together in this charming tale. I really like the cast of characters in this one and the extended epilogue was icing on top of the cake.

A lady and the horse trainer

Lady Caroline has just gotten a new thorough bred horse she named Prince. The horse is born to run, but the horse trainer has no idea how to help him reach his potential. Caroline reads about a horse trainer from Kentucky who is in England and has a wonderful reputation as a trainer, she persuade s her father that they should go and talk to him. Of course he is hired on. Caroline's mother is far from pleased because she does not like her daughter's obsession with horses and then when she finds out that Caroline is falling for him and she sees he is interested in Caroline as well she persuades her husband that he needs to be sent on his way. Caroline manages to run away and take the jockey's place in the race, and needless to say her father is not happy and has been embarrassed as well. This is a very good book and I had a hard time putting it down. I highly recommend it.

A wonderfully captivating story

This is a captivating story that is wonderfully written. This clean plot is full of amazingly crafted characters, who have to travel a bumpy road and outwit a controlling mother, before realising their dreams and desires. The extended epilogue shows you how their whole families relationships develop and improves. I read an ARC copy.

Stranger things have happened.

What a wonderful and entertaining story! A change up from the ordinary with a bit of excitement included. You will feel yourself react to each of the characters and at times even be very upset with them. But a very delightful story is shared with the readers.

A Regency tale of equestrians adventure and love

Mix a Lady horsewoman, a powerful but wild racing stallion, an American horseman and a bit of romance to yield a delightful Regency Era romance. Her family is more than hesitant, he knows his craft well and makes the horse ready to race and the story proceeds to a HEA.

Highly recommended!

a strong fmc

I loved that Caroline was strong willed and pursued ventures that were not typical of ladies. Even though her mother did not want her to be dealing with horses Caroline’s father couldn’t help but indulge her. The start of Caroline and Elias’s relationship was a bit rocky it was beautiful to see it develop throughout the story.
