Although born and raised in the church, Shellie Warren became a victim and survivor of sexual abuse, low self-esteem, rape, promiscuity and co-dependency. After multiple abortions and deep depression, she found healing, reconcilation and recovery in God. As she shares her pain, discoveries and triumphs, she draws young women who are dealing with sexual misuse to a place where they can be real and find wholeness and healing.
This is a book you keep on the shelf indefinitely. Her honesty and poetry is heartbreaking and beautiful. Every time I read this book, I underline something different.
Book so good I read it multiple times. I liked how her poems fit into the chapters, “laying her to east” was my favorite. Great book on how to live a sexually pure lifestyle, forgive yourself of any sexual impurities you may have in the past, accept God’s forgiveness so you can move on and let God use you. When she told us what would come up in future chapters it kind of spoiled the surprise. I liked her idea of journaling and writing what God said in red ink
