Wyatt and Grant still aren't allowed to want each other.

In the midst of a divorce he should have seen coming from the start, Wyatt finds himself back in North Edgewood, back at his dad's house, back next door to Grant Harding. It's been ten years since the two men have spoken, ten years since they've seen each other, but it doesn't take long for either of them to realize that--for the fire burning between them--ten years is no time at all.

Grant has spent the decade wondering what his life would have been like if he'd had the courage to speak up when Wyatt professed his love. Convinced too much has gone unsaid for too long, he believes the only things that can exist between them are silence and space. But when Wyatt corners him alone one night, old emotions flare and that idea goes right out the window.

Grant and Wyatt find it's far too easy falling back into old habits. It's weeks of secret encounters, stolen kisses, and--this time--quiet declarations that threaten the foundations of both of their lives. Ten years spent yearning for each other has to have been enough. Ten years of love lost has led them to this moment. To the brink of a lifetime of devotion they'd never been allowed to have.

Until now.

Until Now is a 60,000 word romance that brings around the conclusion of Wyatt and Grant's romance. This book has on page power exchange and BDSM between consenting adults.

After finishing book 3 and the conclusion of Grant and Wyatt’s story, the cover of this book is perfect!

Wyatt is back from NY and living in his Dad’s house. Grant still lives next door and *gulp* 10 years has gone by. I will say they needed that time apart to appreciate what they could have together. Things are explained. Discoveries are found.

When the list made an appearance, NGL, I may have teared up a bit that Grant was so sentimental. This second chance romance was hot, sexy and just what I wanted for these characters. The conversations that were had with Robin, Adam and Cooper were 🤯. Loved that we got that full circle moment.

The ending was perfectly them and I’m glad we got that crossed off the list.
I’m still wanting more which is a good thing! Like could we get a Christmas novella with Grant, Wyatt, Adam and Cooper??

Oh, I was nervous to read this one. One of the most anticipated reads for me so far this year.
What will happen to Wyatt and Grant, are they finally ready? How will Adam react?

There’s something precious Wyatt has for Grant.

I could tell a lot about this beautifully written story, but you just have to read it yourself!

Oh, my freaking goodness I was clutching my iPad between my fingers, almost breaking it in two, the intensity was sky-high.
My heart, my eyes, my stomach, my muscles, everything hurt from being on high alert, the anticipation, finally, I wanted to scream from the roof, finally, it was everything!!

I was thrilled by the openness and honesty, I was so happy with all the declarations of love. My god it took them 10 years, 10!!
Now they were hopefully committed forever!

The thoughts and feelings are all explicitly articulated, everything was hugely palpable.
It should have felt horrible but my goodness it was a relief it was finally out, Adam knows!
The way how I’m not gonna spoil. It was serious business of course, but I couldn’t stop smiling.
Is it silly to thank the author for giving them each other? I loved Grant so much, I adored Wyatt very. For me, it felt as if Grant was more prominently present, but maybe I was especially focused on him, I’m not sure.
They were absolutely beautiful together, the bdsm scenes were grand. Both men are mature, desperate for each other, hot af of course, and steady, you could feel the love.
Splendidly build up storyline, three books all so worth reading!
Highly recommended!

This was… disappointing.

The D/s dynamics in this are really weird because it feels like Wyatt submitted because Grant wanted him to, not because he was actually submissive or actually understood what it means to be submissive. He repeatedly said he liked that Grant liked it and that it made Grant hard… but that’s it. And D/s dynamics were never really actually discussed? There was just a huge disconnect there for me.

After 10 years apart, I was expecting passion. Like… on fire reuniting and it was just… meh.

Also Wyatt still acts like he is 18. Because the “reuniting after years apart” has been done before, usually there is some growing up that happens, and it didn’t here. Grant is also shockingly irresponsible.

And that brings us to my number one nope here. They didn’t care about hiding their relationship from Adam (the dad) in the first book, and they really didn’t care about hiding it, STILL, in the third. Their “this is about us and between us” thing is utter bullshit. If it wasn’t about Adam, then why not tell him? They kept it a secret for a reason. Adam deserved a best friend who didn’t hide something that huge from him. And it is big. Like, way bigger than the characters made it out to be. I hated it. It totally soured this entire book. And once they got found out, Adam should have been angrier and the fact that he wasn’t made me even more mad.

And the final thing that was my final decision to shelve this author was, after three books, two focused on this couple… who supposedly had an epic love story… and the epilogue is a fisting scene.

I know this author is popular, and I’m glad people loved it, but I think I’m done.

This is probably one of the most satisfying trilogies I’ve read in awhile. Usually, I get a little frustrated when there’s no HEA at the end of the book and we have to wait, especially when the second book is about another couple, but this entire series was just so good from beginning to end that I really don’t have any complaints. I absolutely loved Grant and Wyatt’s epic and hard-fought love story. It made the hopeless romantic in me happy sigh more than once. That idea that even after 10 long years, the One will still be there for you and you’ll get your second chance at love, no matter what the obstacles.

This book was great, buy I hated that it took them so long to get back together.
Wyatt is a great character and I love his trust in Grant.
I can't really understand why Grant has been so passive about his relationship with Wyatt.

A Joyfully Jay review.

Until Now is the third book in Kate Hawthorne’s great Not Ready for Love trilogy and the culmination of Wyatt and Grant’s story, which began with Not Allowed. The stories intertwine, with books one and three focused on Grant and Wyatt, and book 2 featuring Adam and Cooper, but their journeys connect and you will want to read all three books (or at the very least 1 and 3) to get the full story. Having finished the trilogy, I have to say I really like what Hawthorne did here with these books. She has managed to give us two complete and distinct relationships with the two couples, but also connect the three books in a really interesting and engaging way. The story is told so as to give us a window into both couples as we go across the series.

This book is really the second part of the love story between Wyatt and Grant that starts in Not Allowed. Unfortunately for us, Hawthorne traumatizes her readers with a significant time gap between the two halves, even if she does give us an excellent companion romance in the middle that almost makes up for it. After 10 years away, Wyatt returns home and finds himself once again next door to Grant – this time without immediate parental supervision. Those years of silence (with one notable exception) make their reconnection both awkward and intense. But despite the internal angst that infuses the first section of this book on both sides, these men have been on a collision course from the very beginning. Hawthorne infuses each interaction between the characters with such intention that this reads less like a second-chance romance and more like a continuation that should never have been interrupted in the first place.

The initial angst mostly revolves around the tentativeness of their potential as equal partners. The want and need between them still exist, though, and this time, Wyatt has a secret weapon. The time apart has given him certain knowledge and experiences that Grant refused to share with him the first time around. Once that’s out in the open, I loved that the list makes a reappearance to highlight the new possibilities for these two men. Even so, they continue to put limits on their relationship; at least until Grant takes matters into his own hands. First, by going to New York to help Wyatt cut ties with the time that separated them, and second in a much more literal fashion. The timing of the interruption by Wyatt’s father is almost brutal perfection. At that point in my reading, I knew I wasn’t putting the book down again until I finished it, and I have no regrets that it meant I was up way past my bedtime to do so.

In this half, and for the story as a whole, the path to a happily ever between Grant and Wyatt is never easy. The “dad’s best friend” issue is only part of the problem once power exchange is introduced to their dynamic. I adore Hawthorne’s storytelling because of how she always twists expectations. In this case, the age gap between the characters is less of a trope and more of a significant point to the development of the story. In particular, I enjoyed that Wyatt continues to actively pursue Grant, despite his role as the supposed submissive partner. However, Hawthorne interrupts this flow at times, which does a lot to reveal the depth of her characters. I also appreciated the reversal of the younger man hoping that he is worth being with his partner when I usually see it the other way around in age-gap relationship stories.

This is a series that will stick with me for a long time, and I already look forward to reading it again (and again) in the future. I have the feeling that I will find something new to discover and appreciate every time.

The last in this series, and my favourite for sure.

So hot and tender all at the same time. After ten years of pinning Grant and Wyatt finally get a second chance. Not without complications, Wyatt is still the son of Grant's best friend. They still have a significant age gap. And there is lots to their kink dynamic that they hadn’t explored the first time.

But this time, they are ten years wiser, 10 years more experienced, and have had 10 years to realize they don’t want to live another day without the other. Their love isn’t a passing fancy.

So glad they got their happy ending. They are sweet, but also, hello, they are fire.

4.5 kinky, loving stars

This third book in Kate Hawthorne's Not Ready For Love trilogy continues Grant and Wyatt's compelling story from the first book. It's not necessary to read the second book to enjoy this one, but you do need to have read Not Allowed, the first book. (Go ahead and read the second one, it's really good, too!)

I'm a fan of father's best friend stories, and age gap when done well, and Kate has definitely done this one well. There's plenty of heat, romance, a dash of angst, a fair amount of power exchange, and FINALLY!!! a satisfying happy ending. I loved Grant and Wyatt's relationship and I loved this book!

I have been in a book slump. I've read some good books, but they were still ones I could put down. The moment this landed on my kindle and I had time... I read until I finished it. I didn't want to put it down. I stayed up too late. It was worth every lost minute.

These two struggled for HEA and it was everything I wanted for them. I loved their focus and trying to get back to what they had and didn't know it.

Until Now is the third and final book in the Not Ready for Love trilogy by Kate Hawthorne. This is the conclusion of Grant and Wyat's story. It's 10 years since they've spoken to each other. All the feelings are still there.

I loved the story of Grant and Wyat. I rarely read books where it takes multiple books for the HEA and the other books don't have at least a HFN (and if I do it's YA fantasy series) but this one was totally worth it. Their story was sweet, sexy and very well written.

I had to work really hard to make myself finish Until Now. I usually love Kate Hawthorne, but this one was a little boring to me. Grant and Wyatt have reconnected after being apart for ten years, so I expected more emotion and passion. Their scenes together were a little mechanical, and I just didn’t connect to them as characters. The writing is fine. The pairing and setup had a lot of potential. It just didn’t quite work for me.

Oh this series, these men have my whole heart. It’s been ten years since book one where Grant and Wyatt broke up because Wyatt was going to university. And since then he’s been married and divorced, and he’s back in North Edge. Even though it’s been ten years, Grant and Wyatt still have feelings for each other, and can’t stay away. When Wyatt’s dad, Adam, moves out leaving the two living next to each other without prying eyes, things heat up. I love that they brought out the old list of things to try, something they never finished and begin to add to it. But this time, Grant is open to exploring more kink with Wyatt, especially after Wyatt reveals it was something he tried while living in New York. It was always something that separated the two men, Grant was never all that keen on showing Wyatt that side of him when they were younger, despite how obvious to him that Wyatt was submissive.
I think it was a brilliant idea to have the story move into the future. Giving these two time apart was exactly what they needed to make their relationship work. Wyatt was so young when they started, and now as an adult is able to fully commit to a relationship. Of course the main conflict was in that Wyatt’s dad is Grant’s best friend and neither of them wanted to ruin the relationships they have with Adam. With Wyatt’s relationship with his dad improving so much, it did cause stress when they were hiding from everyone. It didn’t help that every so often Cooper, Adam’s husband dropped hints in the previous book and this one that he was aware of Grant and Wyatt’s history.

At the end of the day, this series is so special. It’s beautifully written, the way all three books weave together. Book 1 shows the start of Grant and Wyatt, giving us glimpses of Adam and Cooper. In book 2 you get the resolution to Adam and Coopers relationship, as well as seeing the restart of Grant and Wyatt. And now in this final book all the plot threads tie together beautifully to give such a satisfying ending to these characters stories.

If Not Allowed got me all twisted up over Grant and Wyatt's failed first attempt at a relationship, Until Now was their coming home, second-chance story that soothed all the aches and tied things up with a pretty bow. Seeing the way time and distance allowed Wyatt and Grant to grow as individuals made it crystal clear that they hadn't been ready for each other when they first met. Their hearts may have been involved from the very start, but it wasn't until this book that I saw a path for them to have a lasting relationship. There was something even more special about seeing Wyatt and Grant take the leap of faith together after knowing how much they'd hurt each other in the past, and the way they slotted back into place, wants and desires and kinks aligning effortlessly, was a treat. I loved the way the two of them didn't shy away from talking about how things went wrong the first time, and they took their time to make sure they were on the same page before moving forward again. Wyatt and Grant's kinky exploration was heady to experience at times, and I devoured every moment they spent wrapped up in each other and wanted more. If I had any doubts that the two of them were ready to be serious about each other, the way they leaned on each other, trusted each other with their problems, and made plans for telling their loved ones about their relationship showed me the truth. I knew Adam would be the biggest hurdle for Wyatt and Grant to overcome, and it felt fitting that New York was the backdrop for one last test of their relationship. This time, Grant and Wyatt didn't hesitate or walk back their love, and it made me so happy to see them settle into a happily ever after together.

Thank whatever needs to be thanked (probably Ms Hawthorne, thinking about it!) that we didn't have to actually wait 10 years for this book to arrive; I don't think that I could have managed!! As soon as it hit my Kindle I read and I read until 5am to ensure I had it read and done and I couldn't moan any longer about waiting for the book.

It's the best finish to the story we could have wished for, as KH said before publishing Not Allowed there would be a happy ending for everyone we'd just have to wait and wait we did and a happy ending we got, and thankful I definitely am.

As with all of KH's books this is a fantastic immersive s3xy read, full of details, engaging the readers every sense. There is humour, angst, love, caring, anger, tension, happiness, joy throughout the pages of this story. The characters remain the same as the previous two, just swapping importance, but essentially it remains an ensemble cast of amazing characters you want to be friends/lovers with.

I loved this whole series of books. You can't read one without the others and you need to start with No Allowed, move onto To Love You and finish with Until Now, all in one weekend if you can do it!!

I totally recommend this book to you for your Kindle library xx

Until Now picks up where book one in this series, Not Allowed, left off. Some events take place in book two that show us life for Wyatt and Grant post-breakup at the end of Not Allowed. It’s not essential that you read book two, To Love You (Adam and Cooper’s story), but the heartbreaking context of the decade-long separation of Wyatt and Grant deepens the impact of the events that transpire when Until Now begins.

Hawthorne did a terrific job of getting me invested in Wyatt and Grant and I eagerly awaited their reunion here. Unfortunately, though, Until Now did not pan out as I expected. I enjoyed it, but where I expected an angsty second chance love story, instead Hawthorne provided a book that primarily focuses on the BDSM power exchange dynamic between Grant and Wyatt, Wyatt's exploration of "kink", and how the two of them create a healthy dynamic that meets both of their needs. It's a crucial underpinning of their relationship, but I felt it overwhelmed the other aspects of their relationship and the story as a whole. Overarchingly, I recommend this triad of books, and Wyatt and Grant are a fascinating couple whose love story engaged me. But because Hawthorne set the bar high in Not Allowed, Until Now was a bit of a let-down for me.

I was so excited for this book and it did not disappoint! The first few chapters weren't what I hyped them up to be, but that changed quickly. After his divorce, Wyatt moves back to North Edgewood and into his dad's house. Emotions that Grant and Wyatt have tried to hide and suppress for 10 years reach a boiling point and the two decide to give their relationship a real try.

Once again the chemistry between these two is explosive. The first book hinted at some power exchange, but we get a nice dose of it in this book plus some kink. There's tons of angst throughout the book but there's a happy ending where it all comes together. There's so much I could say, but I don't think I could do the book justice. This was definitely my favorite book of this series and probably one of my top favorite series. I could not put this thing down, including while I was sitting in the Emergency Department.

Overall, wonderful book with tons of heat and angst with an awesome story. Only improvement would be to have the series continue, or maybe a spinoff? Robin and Devon need stories!

It was worth the wait! I loved this book so much! I was heart-broken at the end of the first story when Wyatt poured out his heart to Grant and he didn't say anything. When Wyatt returned after his divorce I was tense about his first meeting with Grant but Wyatt had grown up enough that his father does not suspect anything. I loved their relationship heating up and when Grant takes his virginity it was so hot and sweet at the same time. You know they are in love but Wyatt is still dealing with his divorce and they are taking it slow. I loved how they took his list from before and Wyatt added to it and they began to go through the list--love the spanking scene! I was so glad that Grant went to New York to help Wyatt clear out the storage and his tiny apartment and cringed when his father catches them together. I was so glad that Grant and Wyatt did not let Adam drive them apart and the talk that Grant and Adam on the plane was intense but you knew that Grant and Wyatt would stay together. Adam's ambivalence was so real and I was so glad that Grant and Wyatt made new friends though I agree that I want a happy ending for robin.

Even ten years after their summer fling that ended badly with both Wyatt and Grant wanting more than they felt they could have, they are not free of the emotional pull and physical attraction they feel for one another. They still feel that they are forbidden, especially since although he is a grown up Wyatt is Grant's best friend's son. But they are adults and a failed marriage for Wyatt and continue wondering what might have been for Grant moves them to try again. Although they still feel a lot, they are not exactly the same. They have come to realize that they must go into this new phase of their relationship willing to not only indulge in the physical but to do the emotional work of communicating with one another about what they want and need from one another, what is at stake as they move forward and they have to work on dealing with the past as well. They do a good job of negotiating how they can move forward and give themselves a chance at their forever, their way! The only one who still needs a resolution is Robin. A good, emotional series all the way through.

Until now is the perfect conclusion of Wyatt's and Grant's story.
This is the ending I wished for after the first book broke my heart.
Wyatt returns "home" after 10 years and moves in with his dad again (Grant still lives next door).
They reconnect and it is amazing.
Kate Hawthorne is the queen of relationship talk, I will repeat this until I am out of breath.
The conversations between Wyatt and Grant, Grant and Adam... amazing.
The pining those two went through during those 10 years apart is palpable through the pages. You can physically feel how much those two missed each other.
Grant kept THE LIST in his wallet all those years - this fact made me so sentimental...
The BDSM elements I was missing in the first book now make an appearance and I am here for it :)
I love that Kate didn't have a slow burn in this book as I feel we needed them two to reconnect quickly. They do try to hide for a different reason and while I get that I wish they would have chosen a different approach.
I laughed at the part "Rules were.... rules for a reason"... we all know how that not having s3x in a bed 10 years ago in order to avoid "catching the feels" worked out for those two...

Thank you Kate for that ending, I really loved how this one turned out.
The title is also perfect. They were not ready until now.

Being the greedy reader I am I'd love to read more of them. I feel like I need wayyyyyyyy more interaction between Adam, Cooper, Wyatt and Grant...
A girl can hope :)

I loved this and was so happy to see Wyatt and Grant finally get their hea. It was very well deserved. This book came with plenty of conflict and a small amount of angst. However, they eventually did manage to find a balance that worked for them. I felt that at times things may have been too long coming and it hurt to see them feel the need to hide themselves. I was hoping for a better reaction from Adam when things came to a head, but I suppose that's not always realistic. I loved the steam and the scenes between Wyatt and Grant. Their chemistry was great. It was amazing to see them find they still had what they needed to work together. I recommend this series. The hea is a long time coming but well worth the wait. I would love someday to see a follow up short with all four from this series. This series is definitely well worth your while, and it was well worth the wait to see the balance and dynamic change so these two could find what they needed and a perfect balanced relationship with a power exchange.

Absolutely perfect!! I wasn’t so sure about Grant and Wyatt when I read the first book but they left me hanging and I just had to come back and see how they got their HEA. I was NOT disappointed one bit!! This is what I love about KH’s writing…the heat, the passion, the submission and dominance, the kink and above all the love between the characters!! These two definitely needed the 10 years apart to really make their connection work. Wyatt needed to truly find himself first to be what Grant needed. Grant may have loved Wyatt all those years ago but he wasn’t quite ready for it either. I love that Grant kept the list and they kept adding to it. I love how Wyatt found peace and comfort in his submission. I just really loved this book so much more than I thought I would. I understand the complexities of Adam’s feelings in all this and I just wish we had a better ending with him but that doesn’t change how much I love Wyatt and Grant.

I was intrigued by Wyatt and Grant in the 1st book but I really hate how they left things and it did leave a sour taste in my mouth for them. I know that Wyatt had a lot of growing up to do before he was ready for Grant and all that life would entail but I had hoped they would keep in better contact.

I really liked that there was much less push and pull angst between the two as this book started because I really would have hated dragging out their conclusion. One thing that really bothered me though was knowing that when Wyatt graduated he called Grant and poured out his heart but Grant did not say anything, although Wyatt did not give him much choice. However I wish he would have called Wyatt back and saved him from a mistake of a marriage.

I really liked that they fully embraced who they were now that they were older and truly ready for each other. I was surprised that Adam initially accepted them but then could not see them together as that really surprised me.

I eagerly anticipated the conclusion to the Not Ready for Love trilogy and it did not disappoint. In this book, Grant and Wyatt meet again ten years after they went their separate ways and Wyatt headed to college (Book 1 cliffhanger). This book is excellently integrated with the other two books, with little scenes cropping up or remembered from a different point of view. As with the two other books, this book is heavily focused on the relationship between the two men, with Wyatt exploring his interest in subbing for Grant. There are some unexpected twists that make the book somewhat unpredictable within the HEA and readers will feel metaphorically edged while waiting for the reaction of Wyatt's father, best friend of Grant. The passion and exploration between the two men is off the charts and their love is the deep stuff that lasts for a lifetime. Read all three books in order to get taken on a very satisfying ride.

This is the Third book in the Not Ready for Love series and MUST be read in order. I have been impatiently waiting for this book since the moment I finished Not Allowed, and it did not disappoint. Kate did an amazing job at layering these characters and showing their growth over the last 10 years. Both Wyatt and Grant have enough internal struggles that the only external struggle they need to face is how to tell Adam. I also really appreciated how Wyatt’s struggle with his divorce was presented. It was so realistically portrayed on how his internal turmoil presented at different phases. As always Kate can write some amazingly hot smexy scenes, and Wyatt’s surprise gift to Grant was perfect. I really love these characters and am so sad to say goodbye. I’d love a novella or return to see Robin get his HEA!

I have been counting down the days until I could read Until Now by Kate Hawthorne and Grant and Wyatt didn't disappoint.

Wyatt is back at his dad's house 10 years later going through a divorce and Grant is still living next door and still has never been in a serious relationship. I appreciated that it didn't take long for Wyatt and Grant to get together and realize they were in love and probably had been for all of their years apart.

My heart melted when Grant pulled Wyatt's list from 10 years ago out of his wallet and they spent the rest of the book discovering what worked for both of them.

Cooper and Robin were great side characters in this book and I loved that Wyatt and Grant had an unbreakable bond even when Adam found out about them. This book made my heart smile and this is a series I will read over and over.

This is the third book in the series and it concludes Grant and Wyatt's story. It's not a standalone and you should have at least read the first book before reading this one. It's been 10 years since the events of the first book. Wyatt is now 28, divorced and he moves in his dad's house in an effort to put his life in order. Grant still lives next door and the two of them reconnect. I adore second chance romances when they are done well and this one was absolutely perfect. Grant and Wyatt finally get the chance to express their feelings and explore their dynamics. Their chemistry was simply explosive and I loved every moment of this book. I had the best time reading it, I couldn't get enough. Perfect ending to an amazing story.

Yes, yes, yes! The conclusion to Wyatt and Grant’s journey was just what I needed and wanted. I love a good age gap romance with heat, heart and vulnerable times.

Things progressed quickly with these two, but given the connection they shared in book one it’s no surprise that when they saw each other again after 10 years, it was almost as if not time had passed between them. Honestly, I think the time apart did them both some good though. I think it put their connection and what they meant to one another into a clear picture.

I loved them both, they brought out pure joy and happiness in each other. This was a really funny series. If you like some serious heat in the bedroom and characters that communicate well, this is for you.
