Helpers are beings created with one purpose: to serve the rich. But when Pandora, deemed defective, is faced with the prospect of having her personality rewritten, she must struggle against years of programming to save herself and find freedom. Pandora soon finds herself in a world very different from anything she was prepared for, as the newest member of a resistance movement against the all-powerful wealthy elite. With the help of her new mentor Isabelle, she begins the long journey of unlearning everything she was trained to believe in - embarking on unexpected adventures along the way! Join Pandora and her friends in the Pioneer City Resistance, in this story of trans identity, self-discovery, friendship, and catgirls!
Pandora's Tale Book One is a graphic novel following Pandora, a trans cat girl Helper (legal slaves created by a shadowy corporation) who escapes servitude and finds herself helping The Resistance, an organization dedicated to making the world a better place for everyone. Pandora is new to the world, and that combined with her training gives her an almost childlike vibe. She's the baby queer who's new to the fight, extremely eager and inspiring fierce protective energy from everyone around her, no matter how jaded or tired. The story is extremely gay, the characters are full of depth, and the art is cute and lovely. I love Pandora's Tale so much and I can't wait for more! I especially recommend this to all trans and queer readers.
