"I, Amelie Ashwood, Reject you, Tate Cozad, as my mate. I REJECT YOU!" I screamed. I took the silver blade dipped in my own blood to my mate mark. Amelie only ever wanted to live a simple life out of the spotlight of her Alpha bloodline. She felt she had that when she found her first mate. After years together, her mate was not the man he claimed to be. Amelie is forced to perform the Rejection Ritual to set herself feel. Her freedom comes at a price, one of which is an ugly black scar."Nothing! There's nothing! Bring her back!" I scream with every part of my being. I knew before he said anything...
I felt her in my heart say goodbye and let go. At that moment, an unimaginable pain radiated to my core. Alpha Gideon Alios loses his mate, on which should be the happiest day of his life, the birth of his twins. Gideon doesn't have time to grieve, left mateless, alone, and a newly single father of two infant daughters. Gideon never lets his sadness show as it would be showing weakness, and he is the Alpha of the Durit Guard, the army and investigative arm of the Council; he doesn't have time for weakness. Amelie Ashwood and Gideon Alios are two broken werewolves that fate has twisted together. This is their second chance at love, or is it their first? As these two fated mates come together, sinister plots come to life all around them. How will they come unite to keep what they deem the most precious safe?
I found this book in a FB advertisement that led me to one of those pay as you go reading apps. So glad I found it on Amazon BUT it still cost $9.99 on Amazon AND it seemed to end in the middle of the story. While the story is good… started out good… it seemed to skip from her unhappy marriage to never finding out what happened to the ex-mate. Crazy since it seems it’s a mystery they plan to solve. Not only did it just completely leave that part of the story hanging, the entire story just abruptly ended as soon as they got to her 2nd chance mates in pack.
This book has an interesting storyline with characters you can relate to in various ways. Needs a serious edit due to misspelling and incorrect word usage. The lack of punctuation affects meaning as you read, requiring rereading to find the meaning the author wants. Grammar needs work to make it flow as it becomes stilted in places. Could be awesome with a great editor.
The book ended before finishing the story. It leaves so many unanswered questions to the storyline. Even though I enjoyed the book, I am irritated that they didn't get through the Luna Ceremony and how she adjusted to being a new stepmother. There was so much foreshadowing and no follow-up. There were several spelling and grammatical errors throughout the book. Where is Book 2?
Has a fairly decent storyline, a strong female lead, and a protective male lead that is willing to bend. Unfortunately, there are many grammatical errors and spelling errors. Some of which disrupt the flow of the story. Personally think it's more of a $5 book, not a $10. Though I am excited for book 2.
I loved the story line. It was my second fantasy type romance novel and I absolutely loved it. Only thing was there is clearly editing that is needed, more so at the end of the book. Half phrased sentences, words that don’t make sense and sentences you need to sort of get what it should be.
That being said I would love to read the second book. Any idea when it will come out?
The storyline is pretty good. You stay pretty engrossed for most of the book. However, there are a lot of typos and grammar issues that start to take away from the esthetic of the book. This was a more expensive book, I would just expect more proofreading.
I enjoyed reading the book and really wish I could give it more stars, but it doesn't have a climax or conclusion. I don't really know who to describe it other than it just stops. It feels very incomplete.
The story was good but it should have kept going. Its like the author completed a chapter and just decoded to end the book mid story. I know there will be a book 2 but should have completed book 1 first. Weird
I'm missing half the book. There's 90 chapters and this goes to like 43. Not real sure what happened, but I had to find the book elsewhere to finish it. Books fine, but not complete on this platform
Engaging story however the ending felt abrupt and unresolved, which was disappointing—especially given the premium price compared to a standard paperback.
Even if there is a second book the ending isn’t even a complete thought would not recommend especially when I spent money on it, wasn’t part of my kindle.
I love it. So captivating. Great story with intresting twist. I'm waiting for more. Highly recommended. Shifters story lovers will be not disappointed.
Incomplete. Such a shame part 2 hasn't been published. I read this on the dreame app a few years ago and it was completed, so not sure why it was split for kindle. Story is really good. Though some spelling and Grammer errors.
